    This.

Except for the deletion part. I have a warshade half-way through the game, and he's doing...

    ... what I'd expect a Defender with a no-debuff set* to do pre-damage boost.

    * such as Force Fields
  2. Also, isn't Conserve Power an overlapping power they'd have to change?

    Quote:
If/when Energy Aura does get ported over, I'm hoping that they will implement a "Force Field" look as an alternate animation.
Please god yes. Force Field needs some melee armor love, even if it's just a power customization effect. (A Force Field armor set would play basically the same anyways, plus the devs seem to like mixing FF, Energy, and Kinetics as partners to each other some way or other.)

I LOVE Tidbit Jr's idea to have the human form toggles suppress (this means effects AND end use), when in the different forms, without actually detoggling.
I can't take credit for that. It was just a restate of an idea someone else in another thread had. But still, glad you like it like I do.
  4. 1. I feel that elite bosses should be considered peers to your character in terms of power.

    2. Elite Bosses regularly on melee characters. I have taken down Ms. Liberty as a Hero-rank on my Thugs/Poison before, and I was slightly disgusted that that was possible with just SOs, but obviously proud of myself.

    3. Possibly, but I don't know whether for better or worse.

    4. I hate soloing EBs on ranged characters other than masterminds. Also on stalkers.
  5. I agree with Bill's last comment that the uni, bi, and triform choice is what makes Kheldians themselves and is the main reason to play them.

Yet on the flip-side, I do also believe a buff would be in order. There's a few suggestions that were said in other threads that I could get behind:
    - make the human toggles only suppress when in form, instead of shutting off
    - a few more slots may not hurt
    - other stuff I can't remember

Also, I feel I should ask what you guys think: were Kheldians intended to switch forms mid-battle?

There's ... other methods. Like magic.

    [monotone] "Yay, magic."

    Tier 4 insp?

The only people who know whether they exist or not are the devs.

EDIT: ... and people doing things they shouldn't be doing.

Disable Pop Up Help and Disable Automatic Pop Up Help, or somesuch.

And yes, they are both off. The thing to note is, they do carry over, along with all the other General tab option settings, if you have already logged-in as someone else. If you just started the game and make a new character, the General tab will have all of its options on default.

    EDIT: Nevermind, I found my trouble. Something had set my options file to Read Only and it hadn't been saved since before popups were made. I feel like the person asking for techie help when the only trouble with something was that I forgot to plug a device in... carry on. =w=;;

Save settings does affect the pop help. And that was why I said "Other characters - hit load settings."

No, it doesn't affect "go talk to montague" and the like, but it does affect everything else.
Well then something's not working for me. I saved both window and chat files on a character with pop ups turned off, restarted COH, made a throw-away, and no matter how many times I hit "load," it won't get rid of the popups.

In fact, nothing in the General Tab is being affected by those files, including the Window category (which is all just "dim window" options).

EDIT: and yes, I know that the contact pop ups as well as the "you got your first salvage!" ones are not considered pop up help and are therefore not affected by the option. Though, I do support the suggestion to shove them into that category. I only need to be told to talk to Montague once or twice.
  10. Quote:
This. Just turn them off. Problem solved.
The contact and first-salvage ones aren't considered pop up help, hence they still come up even after you turn pop up help off.

    Quote:
Turn them off on one character.
    Save settings.
If memory serves, settings only consider window placement and chat tabs. If you log into the game and make a new character without logging into an existing one first, then all of your general options are set to the defaults, inclusive of the popup setting.
  11. Then you have people rig it with mesmerize, causing it to be a race of who can keep their favorite Hero awake and confused.

Plus you may want to choose someone other than Sister Psyche, that way the last man standing doesn't have psionic resistance.

  13. I'm with Sensei on this one: I don't think you've quite hit the solution, Baka, but we're getting closer.

Another possible fix to this might be to flag the last pet to go tanker every time you tell everyone to attack with petcomall.

It just never made sense that a Bruiser with INVULNERABILITY-type powers would say "hey, Pyro, you go first."
  14. I had that thought the other day while watching someone play the Recluse Strike Force: why not just gather eight mind dominators and have them spam normal Confuse (since it can be stacked) on whatever Hero they want, let him kill everyone, and then hold him to death.

The plan itself sounds way easier than the nuking-shivan-vengeance-hail-mary we have now.

EDIT: Also, I tend to lose bets, so whoever I bet on would probably die. :P

The Storm Palace already has lightning. It's a pretty neato place, too, I think. Then again, all of the shadow shard is beautiful.

Invul can be just as tough as a stone, and can even go over curbs
I've played both to 50 and you know what? You have a point. Invulnerability was tough AND could move around.

Now if only I could start leveling my WM/EA so that he could be strong AND pretty!
  19. I've been having mixed feelings about the issues for a while now. MA was very shaky and I still don't like how they executed it. But I digress.

Might I point out that the two most prominent examples of large zone-changes were, pre-overhaul, almost completely barren and without real purpose on their own. The Rikti Crash Site and Faultline both had no self-contained storyarc contacts within and nothing special, then suddenly had a full-fledged military force and a fairly-rebuilt city with housing, respectively.

Whereas Ouroboros has quite a few things inside of it, including mini-taskforce contacts. So changing a zone like that (if we even call it much of a zone) would probably be a big "no-no" in the dev's book.

But hey, I could be wrong, right?

EDIT: also, sorry for such a big chunk of text for two simple thoughts. I have to work on keeping things succinct.

For the most part, set bonuses are always active. I swear there was something about exemplaring below the level of the IO set or such, but I can't remember it in detail.

And as for the speed debuffs, I don't know if it's possible to get enough speed bonuses to counteract it. The only power you can have active during Granite or Rooted is Swift, which isn't very much on its own.

If you don't mind speed boost, make friends with a kin (or at least cross your fingers for them to show up on teams). They are the speed-boost crack to the granite-armor stoners.

If you want to stop Granite's recharge slow, you'll need lots of set bonuses.

Even then, though, knowing you'd go faster without it makes detoggling it tempting.

Proliferate Assault sets to Corruptors and Defenders.
The problem with that is that the Corruptor and Blaster parimary, as well as the Defender secondary, are Blast category.

Assault is like the Manipulation sets, and is a category of its own. Not only that, but it's made from Blast sets combined with Melee sets.

So, if you're asking for ports of them, you'd find that they not only clash by category, but also because most of their counterparts exist already, such as Fire Blast as the counterpart to Fiery Assault.

Though if what you meant was that you want equivalents to Earth and Thorny Assault, I can understand that. I sometimes wonder myself what the power table for "Spines/Thorn Blast" would look like.

It's not entirely out of line for doms to have a group buff. Plant was originally created specifically FOR doms and has a group buff.
To you and the other person(s) who mentioned that: good point. Forget I mentioned Group Invisibility.
