Sorry, but I've already put all my eggs in one basket, with friends who are not vip, and where I have the most time invested. This is how I've chosen to meet the shut-down, even if its finally solo. It is getting harder to field a TF or Trial, or even a full team sometimes, but it's still very do-able with some coordination on these forums, and finding ways to get the word out in advance, or playing with themed superteams that meet regularly.

SOE has an older fantasy game called Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. I used to play there & actually got my base-builders wings there. The crafting was good, I harvested/marketed the cash and materials needed to build my own Guildhouse and finished it out almost single-handedly. Their building tools were a bit more refined, though the variety of materials was less.

I could not see building a space station there, but I spent many enjoyable hours in creative construction before finally losing patience with stability... I heard a few days ago those stability issues are finally past - but now its ftp, I have to wonder if it will suffer this same fate as well.

What I did in the market was try to stay out of the Market except as needed.

I used reward merits, a/e merits, morality merits, purple drops, and AE reward tables for the choicest morsels and only purchased the less expensive recipes from WW, and crafted them myself with AE bought salvage. I had a lot of fun doing it, never had more than a few billion, and never needed that. Tricked out every toon I found I wanted to play, as much as I wanted, and only needed a few days of patience to get the hardest to find stuff. I actually gave away more 2-3 times more purples to SG mates & friends than I ever bought.

Some games I've been in before I got so into the market I never had time to actually play the rest of the game (love the numbers I guess), so I made it a point I would enjoy everything else here, and I have. So every time I've been to the market & seen those prices, I've always been tempted to jump in for a piece of that action - but then I just step back, salute you guys, get what I need & go earn a few merits for the next toon that will need it

I've used my transfers & consolidated to slightly more populated servers, Justice & Freedom. I enjoy soloing fine, but some things just gotta have a league.

Absolutely we RP on Justice, but there's a trick to it: first, you have to use a free transfer token & transfer to Virtue - wait, never mind.

You don't have to 'do' a mothers ship raid, just pop in while it's in progress. that's how I first got mine. Listen on the server channel or read forum posts for that server to find the appropriate time.

The answer is subjective depending on what "reasonable time" means. Certainly not as quickly as has been done in the past with the boss farms & fire farms pre-marty-era.

Especially if it involves the possibility of a rename - to take the base from my old defunct SG on Triumph & move it to more active server with a fresh name & theme for the SG would rock.
