Yeah eventhough this has been mentionned I think it's worth mentionning again ... Therra Malevola, by Cric is really a beautiful piece!
Gratz on that and all the rest of the cool art you got lately too -
Quote:I agree ... but I think it should be the Hornfu! Because CR mistook the "chin fur" for the other side of the mustache. Thorny actually has a Fu Manchu. I was actually trying to give my horns and fu a true side view but I think CR's slightly angled view makes for nicer horns and probably could pull off a very recongnizable Fu too![*] Thornster - I mentioned before, I like the hornstache (tm). Hornstache! With an "H". Doh.
BTW the "sun rays" in my last attempt, that CR reused, were actually inspired by Throw Thorns, that is why I had put them so far originally. That attempt wasn't in line with what is attempted here but more in line with what had inspired Suichiro originaly. But I do agree with Suichi that adding the name kind of defies the purpose of making something that should be recongnizable "by all". -
I should be able to get Maiden of the Pit, Fire/DA brute, to 45 before this starts ... 1.25 bub to go... otherwise I ll bring something else hehe

Very cool stuff (got them all, yay!) ... yeah some are more challenging than others to ... minimize.

I have an old version of Corel and I was thinking of upgrading it ... and at about half the price of the Full Photoshop for the full version of CorelDRAW® Graphics Suite X5 which comes with CorelDRAW® X5 (for vector work) and Corel® PHOTO-PAINT™ X5 (for the photoshop like work) I was just wondering why it isn't mentionned anywhere?
(They do mention PaintShop Photo Pro X3 but that isn't the one I was refering to [that is under 100$ canadian btw, but I have no idea what it can do. I never used it.]) -
Wassy posted these 2 in her thread
This is Thornster
and this is Capt Quebec
I just had to see that one in color (because the red and blue side by side are not ... desired by all in my part of the world [I have no problem with it]) so I threw some colors on it and one thing led to the next and I ended up with this

I always find it hillarious that even for prizes worth "0.00$" I still can't participate (I know why, it's not a problem. I just find it funny)

The Steel one is pretty striking because of the warp on the street but I do agree that the Talos one is the most impressive. As for the sky you do have to stop and look for it so I'm sure that a simple fade or blend would make it even less "obvious" and therefore unoticed by most onlookers.

Those are some nice lines you have there! Great job!

1. JohnnyKat
2. Juggertha
3. Bubbawheat -
I should be ok for this ... so I would bring lets say Dark Doc 46 emp/dark def.
(I do have a tank and a scrapper at 48-49 if that would be better for the team) -
(( I liked that journal entry of hers ... I thought it was impressive
))

Just beautiful colors Bayani. That glass display did come out great and there are some beautiful lighting effects in that piece. But overall the colors are just beautiful in that piece.

With the eyes, the pose of the hand and the scratches on the suit ... this is a little ... zombie-ish. That doesn't make it less of a great piece. The painting is really nice.
-
Very cool piece Caem! and that serie of 3 before that was really nice too.
The sun peeking out from behind the building and that sky make for a wonderful set up for the colors of that piece. -

Those are very creative Wassy! I love them! (I even slapped some quick colors on Capt Quebec's one in my deviant scrapbook just to see how fun that one could be in color)
-
Very very cool piece Attache! I really like how all the colors blend together but still bring out beautiful details ... that is quite an intricate piece and just ... beautiful!
Gratz! -
Great job Bayani! Good info, no clutter and great examples.
Thank you! -
Ok so apparently Mr. Sanchez does inspire me ... I just saw one of his sketches go by ... thought it looked nice and went ahead and colored it ...
So here is Lightning Man
as always, clicky for more info and a larger version.
Also, I reworked my Thornster version a bit but I want to do more on it before reposting it here. You can still go take a look at it if you feel like it. -
Those are two very nice pieces! I prefer the action in the Mako piece but the colors in the solo flight one are very sweet!
