LoL, I will not delete the toon Globey, the problem is I DONT WANT leave playing my dom coz devs decided to gimp it..
In fact, if devs finally change it, they should grant TK users a respec token... I think it is fair...
PS: and in my toon, I would need 2-3 respecs to take out the IOs.. -

4 purples sets here, working in my 5th (already got 2 enhances), 3 lotg +rech, 3 decim sets... I can imagine how u feel, Im totally with u. -

You thought wrong, only thing that limits it is the perception range of the TKer. TK itself does not shut down due to range. THe range enhancements that you can put on it only affect the range it can be switched ON. After its on it has essentially unlimited range.

ok as a lover of tk and as some 1 who uses it all the time in pvp you CAN out run it you can also phase out of its effects but if you still in range when you stop phase tk will still be on you. You can be tp away from it and eating break frees get you out of it.
If you hibernate i can put tk onto you so as that as soon as you come out of hibernat you will be tk'd.
Personaly if they reduce the no of bf you use not a probelm for me but if they get rid of the push back well lets say thats the end of my dom as far as pvp goes.It,s not as if I'm not easy to kill. So I extract the maximum fun out of this toon which is the tk.

Same thoughts with my dom... TK is almost the only reason I had why I rolled a mind/ dom, if not I would have gone other primary...
And changing this, after more of a year playing it (that toon i mean) is painfull... thinking in the time/inf invested is just lot of pain.
PS: Still I agree with the reduced number of BFs as a solution. -
According to mids, KU in lift is 12.5 (without PB or Megalomaniac)... And it checks psi defense...
Sounds weird knocking ppl with 1 shot... Devs worrying with repel effect while opening THE MEGA-HOLE with the acro change...
At least it will make it a bit more opened, sumthin like the old west... I knocked u firstly, u r dead -

Much more friendly answer... U probably right, but the mix of this game of being frenetic pvping (all goes so fast), and the skill to do that 2-3 shoting in a few secs is that is unfair here...
Other games u can start a MEGA-UBER-KILLER-PHOTONIC-ROBOT-COMBO-MOVE and you have ur counterpart of being vulnerable for a few secs, or so... (Im just speakin generally, not thinkin in any game). -

All this changes are making control even more useless in pvping, and Im very shocked, since there are two control based toons which will be sended out of the pvping...
After reading all the thread, seems like castle is thinking in setting 2BFs = 100% repel resistance... Well, at least they need to burn bfs, which is the objetive...
1 more thing... Still seems like devs havent noticed that THE REAL PROBLEM IN PVPING IS BEING 2-3 SHOTED... I cant understand why that is fair, but holding and enemy (and usually not being able to kill him) isnt fair... Im lookin at blasters...
Overall, seems like pvping in CoX is goin in the direction of doin direct and fast dmg, instead of applying smart tactics... A 3 yo baby could do the 1st one, only an experimented pvper could do the 2nd one...
So see, soon we will see EVEN MORE monkeys pvping and blasting everywhere... -

Opinions?? Im thinking that BU + Dom + Thunder Strike = almost all enemies dead??
I have been thinkin in a grav/elec, wormhole to a corner, then apply the combo, then continue nxt mob...
Overall, Im not much excited of this set, I will not play it since its only big hitter is AoE, and that means PvE...

Yep, soz I had to leave after the 3rd fight... But it was fun yestederday night, we had fun and entertainment there...
Also, I have to work in not being 2-shotted by fire/ blasters, maybe trying to be at the other corner of the fights could be the solution..
PS: Btw, we was like 20 guys there pvping, lot of ppl yesterday night pvping... -
Seems good, I would swap maybe some slots, but seems good.
I still insist that phase shift is the good way to go, but it is up to u. U would have much more slots to center in your main powers, but it is up to u.
Just 1 thing: flares 2 slotted for the 2% recv?? I feel that is a wasted slot... And I think TK is underslotted (1 rech and 1 range more).
Seems fine the build, it will be expensiveBest wishes.

Well, as long as ppl get fun, it is fair i think... just becoz it is harder it doesnt mean that u will not have fun, in fact, it usually is funner than playing OP builds/toons... -

That would be the same as you roll a scrappy and only get all the primary powers, and skip ur secondary /regen or /sr powers... but with lower hp, so lower surviability...
Gimp urself playing this if u want to, all this is about is fun, and you seem will have a lot playin it. -

phase for doms is good, stick with it (after using leadership for more than 6 months).
Also, doms should center in +recharge, wasting bonuses in +hp will not save ur bacon. My build has some significant differencies. Thinking a dom is a squishier blaster is the way to play ur toon.
Doms need a huge inf investment, my final build (still need hecatombs and health uniques) will be roughly the billion (that build seems like 600 mills).

Add there any /fire dominator... very easy to hit the cap dmg, in fact, usually im over 10-15secs capped... not so hard...

Well, IMHO, a roughly 20% resist elements shield wouldnt save the beacon of anyone, which will do it is your heals/debuffs/forge (shields are secondary IMO)...
Again, I dont like much to buff peeps, I preefer being the fresh meat farm-able toon
btw, Doc, a sonic/thermal has lot of synergies, since sonic can stack -res with melt armour, and u will boost dmg from ur friends... I wouldnt reroll it.
And also, sonic/ can make u only get a few a powers, letting u centering in ur secondary (as you would like, it seems).

The only option I see is the plasma shield, swapp positions with aim and then u have it... Although if u only have 1 attack power at lvl38 maybe Aim isnt much usefull, but that is up to u. -

Here you can find a guide for fire/fire doms (US boards). It is from i6, so dont expect much info with IOs, but it looks very good info.
I hope you enjoy it, it is a PvE monster, and using fiery embrace will boost ur prim and secondary, which sounds very interesting...

btw, mezmerize isnt very usefull for teams, since ppl tend to wake up enemies a lot... If u plan on soloin more than teamin, then it is ur 2nd 'ghetto-hold', after dominate.
If not, I can understand why ppl go for levitate, higher dmg and taking out an enemy 2 secs...

Let me say that actually, any1 that goes to pvp with a dominator has my respect.
After that said, Im sad to tell u that /thorns arent 'the best' secondary set for pvp, since they do lethal dmg (also a bit of toxic, which is nice), the redrawing time and activation times are long...
Yeah, scrappies work well with thorns/, but they do much more dmg, so no comparing there...
Fire might be good, but it has only a fast activating hold and a AoE stun, which is long animation too, maybe bonfire if it has knockdown...
All these points will make u a bit short ur trick-badge, since u have just a few. Of course u can spam ur hold (fire dmg based, so it checks fire defense), and it is the fastest one, which is the tactic I would follow if I were you.
In pve, it is a matter of teaming/lowering reputation/having fun... In pvp it is a different thing...

Here explain how it works fury: clicky
How to keep the bar filled, u can earn fury either attacking or being attacked...
So for brutes, to herd make them stronger, since the enemies will be attacking him.
Also to attack continously will fill his bar, so u should go for a fast activating low end attack chain to fill up ur fury... Tipically, think in put on auto brawl, with an end reduction on it (u can slot brawl, although it will not do much)...
