Congratulations.
For those that haven't met them, both Liquid and Fatare are really nice people.
It's nice when good things happen to good people. -
So, what do the standing look like as far as win/loss records go?
-
We've seen no indications that they can set the low end at 1. But assuming that they could set it that way ...
To run this with LFG (without the G) I'd have to join the queue, try to quickly set the Lock Group option before it forced someone into my group, then wait for it to decide noone else was going to join and send me into the mission.
I'd rather just talk to the contacts. Much simpler. -

Yes, please.
Trying to find out if someone is going to be rooming with me and it's difficult to do that without more info.
As well as trying to get the info so that I can book my flights.
I have very little patience. That should be obvious for one rather important reason.
Patience is a virtue.
I've never been very virtuous.

Quote:The LFG system isn't a perfect fit for this. It doesn't like teams of 1, it thinks you need more people on your team and puts random people there.
I don't know why they didn't use the LFG system for this. It's a perfect use for it. Everyone wants to do it (many people want to do it multiple times).
Several people like to solo these, which LFG isn't built to handle. -

4 */Devices Blasters on the 2nd Hero Respec Trial. Back before they lowered the difficulty on the Respec Trials.
Caltrops, Trip Mines, rinse, repeat. Those were some dangerous doorways to walk out of. And Smoke Grenade as soon as the door opened.
The other Blaster, the Defender, the Tank and the Scrapper were elated when something happened to fall at their feet with a sliver of life left.
Ah, the good old days. -

The last time the game crashed for me was ... hmmm ... let me think a bit.
*think*
*ponder*
*head scratching*
*wonder*
Aside from my ISP crashing and me losing all internet connection, the last time I can remember the game freezing and crashing on me when playing on the Live servers was during either a Hami raid or a Mothership Raid back around issue 15 or so. I didn't even crash or freeze during the one and only ITF I ran, and that was back before they actively worked on reducing lag issues in the ITF.
I've had a few crashes on the Beta and Test servers, but it's when I was pushing thing for testing purposes. I didn't even crash during the Freedom stress test this summer and I was on a server with an intentionally high load.
And yes, I'm running an ATI card. I know enough of the history of graphics driver issues (both nVidia and ATI) with OpenGL support in the drivers to ever update to the most recent drivers until someone else reports good things with them.
I broke my own rule on this during Issue 17 Beta testing with the 10.1, 10.2, and 10.4 drivers since those were the drivers supporting the new OpenGL calls being introduced. Someone beat me to installing 10.3 and finding that one of the problems was worse in those than in the previous driver, so I skipped that one.
Rant and rage all you want, but you are misplacing your hostility. Does PS make mistakes? Sure. Are there unresolved issues in the game? Sure. Are there bits of code that could likely be cleaned up? Sure. Are the game freezes and crashes PS' fault for bad coding? Highly doubtful. If it were bad coding causing it, it would affect everyone equally.
EDIT: Oh yeah, as for that other game you mentioned? It runs on DirectX, not OpenGL. The DirectX part of the graphics drivers much better testing as there are many more games using DirectX than there are using OpenGL. -
Seeing that you installed it using the default path, it's likely putting the logs in the Virtual Store folders.
Since I don't install my games in the default path, I can't say for certain what the path to your logs is.
Most likely it is in some subfolder under C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\VirtualSto re and it is a .txt file.
That should give you a good place to start searching. You may even want to not begin the search quite so far down and just go to C:\Users and start searching for the .txt files from there. Of course, that will include the My Documents and Downloads folders, so you may get several results to wade through. -

Once we get more info and I'm able to book my flight and hotel, I'll post my arrival time here. Anyone arriving near that time is welcome to ride in my rental car to get to the hotel.
Fair warning though. Since I'll likely be arriving just before noon on Friday, my first stop will probably be at Schaub's for a Fred's Steak sandwich. You are still welcome to ride with me, and join me for lunch, but wanted to make you aware of what I consider to be the most important first stop from the airport. -
Quote:Not a high level character, but TJ has existed on Freedom since the 3-day Headstart when the game launched. I had gotten him up to level 6 for the Freedom stress test and had claimed some Veteran's Rewards such as the Nem Staff, Blackwand, Sands of Mu, and likely some others.I'm assuming this is on a high level character that has already claimed the rewards?
Have you tried to make a new toon?
Those of us who did not have high level toons on Freedom, are not seeing those badges... we are only seeing the "new" yearly badges.... and zero Reward Tokens earned or placed, and consequently nothing to claim in e-mail.
Also, I was on for several hours last night, leveling a new toon (without my SoM), and never saw the market come online.
I didn't /bug anything, because I wasn't sure if it was just "the way it is" after the wipe.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to test much over the next few days, so it's up to you guys to figure it all out.
.
I can't get logged in to Test right now to check some other characters that exist there that probably haven't claimed the Vet rewards but I'll report back as soon as I'm able to. -
I think the account server was up last night when I checked to see which version of TJ it was. I remember seeing the Store icon and not the ! icon I get when the account server is down.

I wound up having to make a run to the house at lunch so went ahead and logged on to Test. Scrolling through the Veteran Badge list, it shows badges being awarded for receiving 1 Reward Token, 2, Reward Tokens, 3 Reward Tokes, all the way up through somewhere around 29 Reward Tokens. Yet the Paragon Rewards window shows me as having earned 0 Reward Tokens. I went ahead and filed a /bug report but figured I'd post what I found here as well.

Okay, I thought it might be like that since it's the new build but wasn't able to check it myself to verify. I'll be out most of the evening and won't be able to take a look at my Test version of Texas Justice until tomorrow.
It might be worth it to PM either Alpha Wolf, Clockwork 01 or one of the OCR team to ask about the possibility of manually awarding reward tokens and points or trying to get Test to have the same earned reward tokens and points applied since they aren't there. -
I'm not certain but I think it was probably something along the following lines of what happened.
Before CoH Freedom launched, the Freedom server database was copied over to test some database items. It was a copy from some point after the big stress test event on Freedom (known due to the level of the Texas Justice that exists there). Since it was before the launch of Freedom and isn't tied to the Live account system, it didn't get awarded the Reward Tokens when Freedom launched. The Reward tree exists since it is part of the build but no Tokens since that server wasn't processed when the Live server was in setting all of the Paragon Points and Reward Tokens when CoH Freedom launched.
I believe they should be able to give us access to the Paragon Market, similar to how we accessed it during Beta using dummy account info for the Market.
As for the Reward Tokens, only someone from Paragon Studios would be able to answer as to whether or not they are willing to award Reward Tokens and Paragon Points based off of either Live data or at least off of the Veteran's badges you show. It's also possible that they will be willing to grant some level bumps (since the copy tool isn't working still) and possibly grant Points and Reward Tokens manually.
I didn't think to check last night when I logged in Texas Justice (to see what level he was to know if it was after the Freedom stress test event) to check to see if he had his Sands of Mu, Nemesis Staff and Blackwand.
It's possible that those may still be claimable in the Badges windows since it's apparently an database copy from before CoH Freedom launched. It's at least something you could test.
I'd test it but I'm at w*rk right now. -
You've misread the threads. Test characters were wiped and the Freedom server (as in Virtue, Freedom, Justice, Zukunft, etc. server) database was placed on Test.
It wasn't a copy of the Beta server character database.
EDIT: Also, it isn't a current copy of the Freedom server database but one that is a bit out of date.
