Quote:Just a small note about that enlarged and bolded text: It's highly doubtful you'll get past the lobby./jranger
I don't think that players should be made into congressmen. I have enough trouble with my existing elected officials. I don't need anyone to intercede to the devs on my behalf. I have the forums. I have private messages. And if I felt it necessary, I could call, write, or go pound on their office door until someone answered.
While I haven't always agreed with decisions they have made, I have always felt that my voice was heard and my position considered, even if eventually disregarded. If we had elected players I don't think I would have those feelings.
But if you have more wits about you than some grumpy old man you know then you can get them to take your picture under the sign for the Justice conference room.

It's back on, but it's going to delay the game.
Taking a while for the lights to fully come up in the stadium. -
The two main global channels on Justice are Justice For All and Justice United. I can't speak for Justice United, but I see teams forming and being recruited for regularly on Justice For All.

That's what happens when players start insisting that the next costume pack for females had better be released without corsets.

Smug look on the Art Team's face when players realize it was due to their complaints? Priceless. -

Quote:It's easy to find the Beta forums. I think the problem is that you are going straight to the English section of the forums as many others do. The Beta forums listings are at the top level of the forums, not in the sections broken up by language.Understandable, I never find the damn beta forums from the list unless there's a thread when I click on 'new posts'. Had to do a search just to find them. Anyway thread about this is here:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=280254
For example, in the upper left of this page, under the links for OFFICIAL SITE and USER CP etc. is the breakdown for exactly where on the forums you are.
For example, while I'm on this page I see City of Heroes Forums > English > For Fun! > ALL ACCESS: City Life - CoH & CoV General Discussions > Hopped on the Beta Server for a minute...
Each of those labels that I bolded is a clickable link (in the upper left corner) that will take you to that exact part of the forums.
Clicking on English lets you see the English language sub-forums. Many people set that as the page they access since they don't need to see the German or French language sections.
But that keeps you from seeing the Beta forums sections. Those are at the same level as English, French and German.
If you click the City of Heroes Forums link in the upper left, it will take you to the top level of the forums and you'll see the Beta forums easily since they are listed first before English. -
Quote:Did they really do this? And the enhancement converters, ATOs, catalyst, Holiday Pack, and the New Years Pack.
Lotsa stuff on Beta.
And the Beta VIP server, which we couldn't get on, even if we were VIPs has now been renamed "Dev only - Get off our lawn!"
I'd get a good laugh out of it if they did.
Besides, it would stop some of the complaints and bug reports when people can't access it.
Guess I'll have to wait until I get home to check this out. -
Quote:DMystic was correct. The Hero Gear Kit was a physical item containing a code and the items that were in the box set. It was sold for a while on the old NCSoft Store site and was also available for purchase at the Wentworth's Store at the first HeroCon in 2008. I purchased two of them at the time, one for me and one for a player in Australia that wasn't able to attend. It may have been available at the second HeroCon in 2009 (ParagonWiki says it was), but since I wasn't looking to purchase it I didn't specifically look for it.I think you're thinking of the Good vs. Evil pack that was available when CoH and CoV were consolidated into a "single" game: VIP badge, Pocket D teleporter, Justice and Sinister costume sets, and the jump pack. Arguably the first "super booster" offered, though they didn't use that name for it at the time. It came free with the CoH/CoV combination retail box, or could be bought separately online.
The collector's edition pre-dated CoV's release by a good long while (the version of the game included on the DVD was updated to issue 2), and the Good vs. Evil edition by even longer; Prestige Power Slide and the Cape of the Four Winds were exclusive to that edition, and, according to the devs at the time, would never be available by other means.
Same deal with the Arachnos cape and chest emblem that came with the collector's edition of CoV when it was first released. There's a different Arachnos chest emblem available as a vet reward, and a modified version of the cape that non-crab-packed SoAs can use, though, which brings up an interesting possibility: why not a version of Power Slide that's not exactly the one from the collector's edition? Maybe one that uses the same animations, but without the glow effect at the character's feet? That might work better with the current game's path auras anyway.
It is not the same as the Good vs Evil items. -

I wasn't certain if the account was what mattered or the character itself.
Since I get the message that I have 3 sold items when I log in one character on my Premium account, I knew that it was at least valid for the character. -
Quote:Enjoy the time off and time spent with your family.
Community team wise, I will be on Holiday starting next Friday and continuing on until Tuesday, January 3rd 2012, however I'll be sure to check in on things between Christmas and New Years.
So it will be like the weekends until you get back. Got it. -
All you should have to do is log in on the characters that have items in the AH before the 60 days is up. That resets the timer.
I have items that have been sitting untouched on my Premium account that are still there just from logging in. -
Exit the game (and launcher if it's still running as well) completely. Restart the game.
That should clear it up. -
Quote:Issue 21 came in September. Issue 22 isn't likely to go live until February or (more likely) March with it going to Beta in January. Thanks Ultimus for the info.!
And i22 beta in January right after the New Year's?
Is it just me or does it seem like they're are pushing out content a lot faster...but...a bit less "quality" of it being made.
Don't get me wrong I love new content (ie. new powersets!) but...with all the random stuff seemingly just thrown to live even a somewhat broken state...
*shrugs*
We'll see
September to February would be 5 months.
September to March would be 6 months.
Seems to be about the same or slightly slower than before Freedom.
Considering that even the mid-issue release of Issue 21.5 was around 3 mnonths, it still seems a bit slower than before. -
Powers in trays are already bound to the 1 through 0 keys unless you've changed them. Using the goto_trays_tray # would access that numbered tray and then a keypress on the power number would activate it.
That was my first thought on what you were wanting to do, but now you have me thoroughly confused.
So I'm out. -

Quote:That's a great bit of data.I doubt this is a clientside issue, or at least a client platform issue. I had the problem on one out of 3 accounts.
I could run the 2 other accounts without the problem,
The 2 other accounts simultaneously without the problem
Either of the other accounts and the account with the problem simultaneously without the problem on the other accounts
This was all on the same computer
No need to try to find any commonalities on the computers or software on them now.
Now the common things to search for appear to be servers and zone, and even possibly AT's and alignment. -
It stays borked for me using the Villain style no matter what. Using Firefox.

Ah, didn't realize you were trying to play without actually clicking anything or touching the keyboard.
Nevermind then.
And good luck.
BTW, I'm TJ, Texas, or Texas Justice.. Tex is a redname. -
I believe you want to use the following slash command:
/goto_trays_tray #
Where # is the tray number.
EDIT: Probably what you would want to do is bind a combination of keys to that command for each tray number (such as shift+numpad1, shift+numpad2, etc) and then program the mouse to use that keystroke combination that will activate the bind.
Unless I'm not understanding what you are wanting, which is entirely possible. -
Quote:Yes, he is stuck with that one.
Also, a special request from the Honey Badger (I know he wants a "cooler" redname but he is SO stuck with that.) We have some time coming up that will be specifically scheduled for auras. If you haven't gotten your aura or path aura suggestions in yet, please post them! We love hearing your ideas!
And there is a reason he is stuck with that one.
It fits the bill.

You complained that they hadn't added it to the Known Issues so I pointed out and linked the two Known Issues lists where they had already added it. That's not whining. That's merely correcting someone else's incorrect statement with facts.
You also offered an insult towards their process of fixing issues that I addressed with factual information instead of denigrating remarks like the one you used:
Quote:No, I haven't experienced the problems yet on any of my characters. I know others that have. I've not expressed any opinion as to whether or not anyone should be annoyed by a bug that seems rather random in who it affects and which of their characters it affects.
Bug in question will possible, maybe, if we can find those jam donuts, dont ya know, get fixed NEXT week: Check?
If it had affected me, I'd have filed a /bug report in game and posted in one of the existing threads stating which characters it affected and which it hadn't.
While I might have been annoyed, I wouldn't have started tossing around insults or indulging in (what seems to be standard of late) exaggerated hyperbole about a problem. -
Glad you found your problems and got it resolved.
