If nothing else, the upcoming Barbarian costume pieces would be a good excuse to implement these muscular textures for the female model.

Quote:Understanding the story does not mean liking the story, nor does disliking the story mean not understanding it.And I'm saying that not only do these people not understand the story which they clearly don't, if you "take out" a majority and a key thing to what something is it is not that thing any more.
It would still be Enterprise. It would still be the same ship and the same basic crew engaged in adventures during a key time in Star Trek history. Archer would still have faith of the heart, going where his heart would take him; he'd have faith to believe that mankind could do anything. They could have written the show to go in any number of directions, but those were the ideals at the heart of it and like it or not the time travel nonsense isn't key to that.Quote:If you took out all the time travel stuff and all things related to it and all things caused by it which is the majority of the show and it is integral to understanding what was going on then it would no longer be Enterprise. It would be a different series. -
Quote:If it were 80-90% different it might've been good.No what I'm saying is the entire story is about time travel which is supported by the entire story being about time travel. If you remove the time traveling bit the series is like 80-90% different because without the time travel parts the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th season don't exist and most of the 1st doesn't either.

I didn't like the first game. Partly because I was stuck playing humans, and partly because advancement was turning out to be tedious to the point of impossibility for me. After hours of killing stuff just outside the gate of the first area past the tutorial, I was looking forward to several more hours of the same because even that was still proving deadly.

Quote:The time travel wasn't confusing, I just didn't care about it. Not least of which because the Suliban just weren't interesting bad guys.The problem with Enterprise is that a lot of the viewers don't get how time travel works and think that its "whatever i say it is" Star Trek has been consistent with it's time traveling elements throughout and Enterprise is ALL ABOUT time travel. It is one big Time Travel story and it really makes sense when you look at it not as a prequel of other Star Trek series, but as a sequel set in the future.
The problem is that all of that exploration of the unknown loses something when separated from the Federation and the rest of humanity, and further from the constant resource issues, and yet more from the need to get back home. Battlestar Galtrektica isn't fun to watch.Quote:Actually Voyager was made because people expressed that what they love about TOS and TNG is the unknown and the exploration of new races and cultures and the idea that they're on the frontier. Everyone saw that a show like that couldn't be done without something like throwing them to the far side of the galaxy because the world around the federation had been explored and people know all about everything in that area. So in fact they were trying to recapture what TOS and TNG was seen as to plenty of people. -
I'm betting that the consequences of Jinks' action is that he's going undercover as a double agent.

Quote:My understanding of it has always been that Romana was able to control her Regeneration because she was choosing to regenerate, rather than being forced into it as the Doctor always seems to be.I could have sworn I'd heard years ago on some episode from, oh, Doctors 4 thru 6, that Romana was among the minority of Time Lords who can control their regenerations. The Doctor admitted that he was one who had no control. With the modern series, its pretty obvious with #10 that if he could control his regeneration, he would have, forcing the outcome closest to his appearance and personality.

Enterprise got a lot wrong, but I have to say that if nothing else I enjoyed every Andorian-focussed episode I managed to see. Of course, that may just be because Jeffrey Combs is awesome.

Quote:Personally, I always wanted their secondaries to be a mix of Controller/Defender primaries. Kind of like backward/sideways Dominators.Blasters. And it's not because I think they're a bad AT, because they aren't. It's the way that they were designed that I do not like.
Blaster. When I hear the word, I think about shooting things at range. And only range. It's just my opinion, but blasters should not have melee attacks. Kind of like how wizards and sorcerers in D&D would stay away from melee combat, but were unrivaled when it came to range (archers with the right feats and the right weapon could compete) and AOE. But I tread on thin ice, and I don't want to compare with D&D. I know blaster players who say they hit and run when they melee, but that sounds more like a stalker.
I suppose what I want to say is: If you could make a blaster a PURE ranged blaster only, like having Fire Blast for your primary, and Ice Blast for your secondary, then I would give up on scrapper and brutes for the next year.
I'm not a dev however, and they chose to design blasters the way they did for a reason. If what I listed were an optional way to create a blaster though? I would pay any price to have that option. -
I could see him as Panthro... or Grune.

Quote:Wasn't he wearing that formal wear in the first episode of this season? As well as Amy's wedding? Pardon my fuzzy memory.Just had a thought. What was the deal with that jacket the Doctor was wearing for the entire episode? In the preview for next week he's back to the tweed...so why the different jacket for this episode? Is it simply a matter of giving the Eleventh Doctor a slightly more varied wardrobe...or something else?

Quote:If the trials were fun and the LFG system worked I'd do them even if there were a viable solo option. Heck, if the LFG system just worked reliably I'd do them occasionally now despite not caring for the iTrials I've done.Also note: Solo Path does not equal "at the same rate as those who do Trials". Those players will ALWAYS advance through the system faster. Otherwise the Trails will shrivel up and die, and those people who (gasp) like them will never get a chance to run them.
In related news, when I21 hits live I'll probably occasionally queue up for the sewer trial even on mid-high level characters. And who knows, I might even get in every few hours of that average 4 minute wait.

Quote:I've not been impressed with much of Cage's work that I've seen, but I'm willing to cut him some slack just for Vampire's Kiss.Now see, personally, I can't stand Nicholas Cage. It is partially due to the fact that I don't think he is all that great of an actor. Partially, I think it is due to the fact that they have made it a habit of casting in the roles that don't seem to fit him well and he just doesn't seem believable in.
I will say, that he was tolerable in "Kick ***", but that is partially because he wasn't all that prominent so couldn't do much damage. Besides, he was usually opposite Chloe Moretz, who stole the scenes so much that you didn't really notice him there. Additionally, the sort of dry humor and wit that his character was used for in that movie was something that he was able to pull off. -
Quote:I got there with hover on Beta, though my mind was on the now absent Street Justice at the time and the Super Strength substitute conflicted with flying.On Beta:
Toggles = 18.50%
Passives = 7.50%
Both of these are the exact increase expected from the scrapper/brute numbers based on the tank mod numbers (scrapper number divided by 0.75).
Enhancing we get:
Toggles (18.5 * 1.6) = 29.6%
Passives (7.5 * 1.6) = 12.0%
Total = 41.6%
So, that doesn't quite get you there. Adding 1-slotted CJ (3.14%) still leaves you slightly short, too.
Or, as I suggested above, you could save yourself 6-slots (2 each from 3 slotting the passives) and get there with 1 more slot (Stdfst in Tough) saving 5 slots to work on those other things you mentioned.
edit to add: My current plan has roughly 2730 HP with all accolades.
edit2: Fully enhancing the 3 toggles plus the 1 slotted passives will also more than max out DDR, too, which is sweet.

Quote:As I understand it, Bill Murray complained that Lorenzo Music didn't sound enough like him. Of course, Lorenzo Music does a better Bill Murray than Bill Murray does, and Dave Coulier was horrible.having purchased The Real ghost busters complete series boxset last year I have to say that was a very jarring change...to put it mildly Dave is annoying, and always has been. His voice acting is the same. At least when Winston was changed the replacement attempted to mimic what was done before while slowing working up this own take.

Quote:My conjecture is that before the crack erased them they were adoptive parents she was left with as a baby. When they were erased, little Amy had no way of knowing she was adopted. And the fact that she was the daughter of her own daughter and a Time Lord is the actual paradox that was causing the universe to crack.I think that Amy had real parents and the Time Crack erased them from existence and so you have The Doctor finding young Amy somehow living by herself and everyone regarded that as normal. The fixed and rebooted universe brought them back.
Just a wild theory. But it offers a slightly more concrete explanation for River being part Time Lord. -

Quote:Well, with just Combat Jumping and a Steadfast +Def you can already be up to just over 48%. A couple of set bonuses and Nerve Radial later you can be slightly over the 59% cap.Originally Posted by CaulderoneThat depends on whether you are going for 45% (normal PvE) or 59% (iTrials, certain Tip mission mobs) defense.
That has nothing to do with Weave being an end hog that provides too little benefit for the cost, given that I wasn't advocating Maneuvers as a better choice. They're both too costly for what little benefit they provide.Quote:actually your wrong on that account weave gives you a better def then maneuvers and is less on end.
EDIT: And, yes, unnecessary for capping SR, which was my chief point. -
You don't even really need Weave, which is itself a bit of an End hog for too little gain.
