The only musician I can think of that I loathe is Owl City. Cheese and rice on a cracker. I literally get headaches when his music pops up on the radio and the lyrics are so stupid that they make me want to punch things. I'd stick to the country station for the next 5 years if I thought it meant I'd never have to hear him, but my wife occasionally listens to him when she's showering. Always the most irritating 20 minutes of the day.

It's almost always the actor that causes this issue. Didn't seem like they had too much of an issue keeping V's mask on in V For Vendetta. Unless I'm forgetting a moment where he removed the mask (fire scene excluded since it was all blurry and whatnot).

No worries. My wife and I are going to go see it. My mother and brother, too. We shall make up for your failure... and one day?

And that's what Stalkers are all about--skulking, sneaking, picking off soft targets. They're not about a manly stand-up fight.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Not true for all Stalkers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was about to say that. I've always played very much like a Brute or Scrapper. The only things I have in common with other Stalkers are the ability to choose my target, quickly kill them, and control when the next killstrike comes along during the drawn-out or huge mob battles. Both of those reasons are exactly why I abandoned my Scrapper when CoV came about.

We look at games like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, God of War or Shadow of the Colossus and the innovative use of terrain involved there and think "How can we get things such as that into our game?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oddly enough... I often attempt some PoP travel, when I play. Don't know why. It's not like I get badges for scaling buildings and objects without travel powers. >D

    [edit]
Oh, and for the sheer amusement of Psyte:
"EAKS players often live by the phrase 'The journey is often more enjoyable than the destination.' They are motivated by meeting the challenges of the world, but they are usually in no rush--because seeing the creatures and places of the world is even more fun."

While I do spend quite enough time (a couple hours a day) PVPing, that fits rather well.

After numerous PMs, I figure I should address this.

First, we know about this. It was noted as happening during Beta.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Odd. I don't know about anyone else, but I know that I didn't have these problems, whatsoever, until the Placate (toned down to stealth level -perception) and Dull Pain (no longer allowing a DPed Stalker to stay in Hidden while being attacked) changes came along.
  12. I tested this with MA. The affects on both Crippling Axe Kick and Cobra Strike caused the no-target portion of placate to fizzle. I didn't notice anything with Crane Kick, but I didn't test that one too heavily (as I was on a tight schedule). It's bad enough that most of the attacks (Storm Kick, Crippling Axe Kick, Cobra Strike, and Eagle's Claw) in the MA set negate Placate's No Target effect. =P
  13. Really? Huh... What setting are you running it on?
  14. I'm fairly sure that the short amount of time and the limited bonus earnings was to prevent farming of some sort. It doesn't make much sense, though, now that they've removed the absurd exp bonuses.
  15. But... if you got a wanted poster, then it's not a dud. Go free the person from the jail and get an extra... 3 minutes, I think it was? Either way. It's extra time (which is pretty much spent going to the jail, breaking the person out, and leaving).
  16. Even with my Lv38 power, I couldn't do it. I got him to below half, however. The problem was that he kept slapping Detention Field on me and heal up, after MoG wore off.
  17. Did it say 1 Day or 1 Day of In-game Time? I know that two of the powers I had managed said "In-Game Time."

Tier 1 = Dodgeball ref (I completely loved that movie. Lance Armstrong had best cameo ever)
Tier 2 = Gemini Twins, the brothers from Face Off, and a few other places.

    Don't get Tier 3.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Very good. =D They were, in fact, Dodgeball and Face/Off references. Tier 3 is a reference to one of the Sinistrals in Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (a very, very impressive RPG from the SNES days).

Each day I play my Thug MM, I grow more and more curious as to why my Thugs have Revolvers. They should all have... dual RCP-90's. =D
  19. It only happens when you run into multiple red searchlights, from my experiences. I ran into one and the ambush that came to stop me was all of... 2 guys. I decided to test whether or not the number of ambushes relied on each individual light and... wow. The ambush that greeted me on my way out of the mission was composed of 18 PPD and 4 Longbow. It was fun trying to break my way through that mob.

I truly love this aspect of the mini-mission as it gives me reason to be very cautious. I'd been dying to get a stealth-like mission and BAM! They delivered as they said they would. Good stuff.

FYI: Electric Shields' Grounding Power will have Immobilize and Knockback Protection added. The set will still not have a Heal power or HP Buff power.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is the first time I've been happy with news from him. >_>
  22. None of them lacked knockback protection, immobilize protection, AND a heal, though. This is off-topic, as someone said, and because of that, I'm sure it will be removed.

...this begs the question - what were those guys from the i7 trailer that looked like cowboy bankrobbers, with trenchcoats, dusters, masks, and dual ingrams?

    These..?
