Back onto topic... I'm really excited about this powerset. I really hope they do something cool with the animations and don't just do the whole cookie cutter "insert generic elemental sword" powers.

Don't forget it's been nearly 8months without the show, of course they are going to release a massive promotional trailer before the show starts again. I wouldn't read too much into the scale of the trailer for how the doctor will act

Entries: Ms Liberty, Aurora, Mynx, Swan, Valkyrie
Ms Liberty:
I've re-made Ms Liberty's costume with the traditional red, white, blue, gold. Retaining the essence of her original costume, which I feel is the gold ornate details. I've emphasised the Girdle of Hera, which I believe was passed down from her mother. I think the look demonstrates she is finally showing her independence as a heroine, and also as a grown woman.
Aurora:
Without her previous mentor Sister Psyche, Aurora has time to shine as a leading psychic. Again I've retained the white and pale blues from her original costume. I feel psychic characters work best in subtler costumes, so Aurora's is more blended and sleeker. I've also kept her signature Tiara.
Her hair is much more sophisticated, along with the psionic rings around her body. I've added a gentle aura to her gloves and boots, hinting at her ability to create psionic light.
Mynx:
Mynx's original costume I felt looked a little childish, and continuing the theme of 'maturing heroines' I've given Mynx an edgier look. The trouble is making her look feral enough, but without compromising on the fashion. The ears, tail, and hollow yellow eyes all hint towards her cat-like nature. The woman is packed with attitude and spunk, and I've tried to make her look more street than catwalk (no pun intended).
Swan:
Keeping Swan's costume bird-like, but without actually adding any wings was quite tough! She is a psychic, but born into magic and so I've tried to reflect this more in her update. The mask conveys the 'Swan' image, keeping the colours of their beautiful black and orange beaks. The mask adds a sense of mystery and makes her look much more formidable as a heroine. The feather like cape also alludes to the image of the swan.
Valkyrie:
I was reading about Valkyrie's history, and there is very little lore that really ties down her costume (other than the spear). For this reason, I didn't take much inspiration from her original and have instead completely re-worked it. The shining silver is a nod to old norse armor, and the radiant green hints at the technology discovered in the nanites of her spear. The textured tights help to keep some sort of feminine form under all the armor.

Thats just a rough idea, so apologies if it seems overpowered -

What if personal forcefield applied a minor def bonus, but also added a large amount of absorption or +regen? I keep trying to think of ways to make the powers more appealing. I hate looking at powersets and thinking "oh I can skip that". Time Manipulation is a good reference, because every power can be used to great effects -

I'm know there are players who are plenty happy with Force Fields as they are in game
I however, completely loathe the set, which is annoying because it's a power set I've so dearly wanted to play and enjoy.
I came up with this (rather quickly) as a suggestion to what I'd like force fields to be. Focusing on defense obviously, but splashing in other ticks and tips to make a much more modern set.
It's mostly a conceptual suggestion, no numbers or data. Feel free to comment or add to wherever you see possible
Force Manipulation:
Emanate
PBAoE Minor Heal, +Absorb over time, long recharge
You create a gentle burst of energy, the positive charge soothes allies and grants them a minor amount of absorption over time.
Deflection Shield
Ranged (Targeted AoE), Ally +DEF(Smash, Lethal, Melee), +Res(Toxic), fast recharge
Dramatically protects an ally from Smashing, Lethal and all Melee attacks for a limited time. Also reduces Toxic damage. You cannot stack multiple Deflection Shields on the same target; however, the shield can be improved by another ally using the same power. Can also be used in conjunction with your Insulation Shield. You cannot use this power on yourself.
Insulation Shield
Ranged (Targeted AoE), Ally +DEF(Fire, Cold, Energy, Negative, Ranged, AoE), +Res(End Drain), fast recharge
Dramatically protects an ally from Fire, Cold, Energy, Negative Energy, Ranged and AoE attacks for a limited time. The Insulation also protects the target from Endurance Draining effects. You cannot stack multiple Insulation Shields on the same target; however, the shield can be improved by another ally using the same power. Can also be used in conjunction with your Deflection Shield. You cannot use this power on yourself.
Containment
Ranged Hold, *special, long recharge
Your will is enough to hold even the greatest of foes. You can hold a foe by enveloping them in an fierce containment field. The foe will be rendered helpless and unable to attack.
*Special, Using Force Blast on a contained foe will deal additional minor energy damage and def, -regen
Dispersion Shield
Toggle: PBAoE, Team +Res(Hold, Immobilize, Disorient), +DEF(All), long recharge
Creates a large shield which protects all allies inside. While active, the Dispersion Bubble gives all allies within increased Defense against all attack types. The Dispersion Shield also protects allies from Immobilization, Disorient, and Hold effects.
Force Blast
Ranged Minor DMG (Energy/Smash) Splash knockdown (special * additional Minor Energy DMG, Foe Def Regen ), moderate recharge
Unleashes a blast of energy, dealing minor energy and smashing damage. The force of the blast will knockdown your foe, as well as having a chance to knockdown any foes around the impact of the blast.
*If the foe is held under containment, this power will deal additional energy damage and lower the foes defences and regeneration further.
Spectrum
Toggle: +ToHit +Acc +Res(Confuse), long recharge
As a master of energy, you can perceive the world as energy patterns and signatures. You can share your spectrum sight with your allies, opening their eyes to the momentum of the world. This power grants a moderate tohit and accuracy bonus to all allies within range.
Energy Drain
PBAoE, Team +End, +Def, Foe End, long recharge
Energy Drain leeches energy directly from the bodies of all nearby foes, draining their Endurance. Each foe you draw energy from increases yours and teammates Endurance and Defense. If there are no foes within range, you will not gain any Endurance or Defense.
Fortress
Toggle: PBAoE Knockdown, Foe Def Res, very long recharge
You can create a volatile field of force. As the fortress encircles your body, the storm of energy will repeatedly knockdown all foes within range. The crushing force will also subject foes to reduced defense and resistance. Maintaining this fortress is taxing on the user, and cannot last for more than 20 seconds.

- Updated FX for Force Fields please! It's such an iconic comicbook powerset, and yet the graphics look like soap bubbles.
- Minimal FX for the domination inherent power. No more rainbow glow please!

...As a frequent support player, these sets I personally find the worst.
They are so horrendously BORING to play.
The numbers are all ok, but they just don't hold up to a fun gaming experience in the modern game.
Also outside sonic, the visuals of FF, TA and Emp are dated. -
Just snagged the name Fluidic on my homeserver Defiant and also Virtue, ready for Water Blast.
Also snagged the names Femme and Bio Human this week too! Guess I'm having a lucky streak -
Bummer, I'm travelling back to uni now on Sunday and my train doesn't get in until 10pm. I'm sorry to be a let down again, especially as I missed last weeks!
If you count me out for now as things keep popping up last minute for me to commit.
I have rolled a Darkness/Fire Dominator (Seven Devils), so should I make it another week then I'll give a shout out on Defiant Events channel.
