    Only voice over so far is Recluse himself, on the Gradville screens.
    Which, IMO at least, sounds REALLY good! Wish we got more.
  2. If they could make good graphics more accessible, its be nice. Also, making shadows and such more realistic would be cool.
    Sunrise over Atlas, etc. But dark in the alleyways, would be atmospheric.

    True. The search window doesnt refresh. If you open it and look for a team for 10 minutes the people you are sending tells to might have joined a team while you were looking for one. They would still show blue in the window because it is static.

  4. Something crackled into existance atop one of the taller buildings in Brickstown. For a moment, the air bent and warped in unsettling ways, and there were shadows that crept and twisted through the air.
    Then a figure stood up, black and red armour lightening to red and white. Chief Centurion raised a hand to his comm unit, looking out over the streets as he listened to the replayed message.

    Then, with a snap of metallic wings, he leapt off the rooftop, soaring skywards and onwards, towards the area near the Chasm...

    'World wide Economic ***** up'? Y'know? Personally, I really wouldnt be that shocked if things go a teensy tiny bit slower than normal. I also wouldnt be too shocked it took bloomin ages.
    Still, thats just speculation. Hope its sorted soon.

    Of course I am in favor of removing redraw for all powers. And if not all of them, then the ones that have a real impact, such as the aforementioned Fiery Aura heal, should be the ones that get done first. I am simply arguing that removing redraw for Boxing would do little to rehabilitate the power, given that there are lots of players without weapon sets who still don't have a use for it.

    Yes, I have tried Jump Kick, and I know what it looks like, there is no reason why you couldn't create a modified animation for it holding a weapon or duel weapons.

    One thing that occured to me is that Castle has been over many offensive sets and made ajustments, taking animation times into acount. So far as I know the pool attack haven't been looked at since issue 1, and at that time animation time was not taken into acount when calculating the damage scalar.

    Tbh, I really hope that I15 IS a large overhaul. Theres a whole array of little problems and bugs that all add up to create some rather niggling things atm.

  11. Maybe fall back on the Dimension idea. Infernals dimension is meant to be Medieval. Why not a Medieval version of Paragon? Darker, grittier, the odd parasitic demon infestin the allys, etc. CoT would probably be trying to invade, alongside any other nasties they could think up.

    My point is that, yes, it would need to be original. I see no reason why it couldnt be original and/or well done.
    Mind you, a few of the recent oddsnends from the Devs aint made me particularly hopeful...and the lack of originality in missions also bugs me...so...-shrug-

    It's not a matter of them not being able to make boxing not redraw, they clearly could, the point is, they WON'T do it because it would attract a lot of extra flack for the devs not doing the other powers, for absolutly no benefit BECAUSE BOXING WOULD STILL SUCK.

    Have you ever taken/looked at Jump kick? Or is this another pedant rant.
    Anyway, it doesnt matter that Boxing 'sucks'. In fact, its not that bad. Sure its not at Set standard, but its a blooming pool power. It shouldnt be. And it does more damage than Brawl, and has a chance for stun.

    Besides, the answer is still the same. If they were to fix redraw, they should do it for ALL the powers that suffer from it. That way there would be no flak, and it would be QoL/updgrade that people would like.

    I just wish they'd give us more realistic armour! -rage- It looks horrible! Those helmets are nothing short of abominable, and don't get me going on the armour...
    Still...one can only dream, eh? Because, apparently, Jay is god in his little realm, which means we're stuck with what we get. Joy.

    There should be more fights that require planning.
    Fr'example, an AV that runs for switches to summon new waves of minions, and the team has to either bust the switch first (only unlocks when he goes for it) or immob the AV long enough to stop him from getting to it. Or an AV who fights on a multiple level room, who TPs at certain health lvls and the Heroes have to find him again (his health would have reduced regen, but high def or res to compensate in such a case). Or an AV that used actual stealth, and tried to sneak around the team, and they need to stop him from running after a stealth attack, etc.

    Meh. Tbh, fair play to Blizzard. I liked Warcraft 3 and Starcraft was ace. SC 2 looks very nice. And they have a lot of money from their success. People obviously enjoy playing WoW, or they wouldnt have that many subscribers, and they can afford advertising and such. I may not like WoW, and I do despise some of the sorts that play it, but thats just me.

    Some people need to work on their logic...

  17. The example doesnt only extend to boxing/kick. Ideally, they WOULD cause redraw. Even with things like DB, you can still punch while holding a sword.

    As for weapon sets and redraw, one of the major annoyances for them is hte redraw, especially on Blasters and Corruptors. Given that it would help a lot of people playing the powersets, and encourage people to play them more, surely it would be good thing. For AR, for example, an animation where the rifle was held in one hand while the other did the second animation, much like is used with the temporary powers like throwing knives at present. Ame with bows. Flurry doesnt need changing, seeing as its uses both hands, as does jump kick. They do no need editing, as the logic behind their redraw is sound.

    Most unlogical redraw ever? DB/Fire Brute, the heal causes a redraw. -fume-

    Done before in numerous other stories/place but yes, it would be cool. Nemesis would fit right in.

  21. Agree that the redraw should be cut for using it with weapons. But they work fine. It is a set called 'Fighting' after all, not 'Additional armour powers'
    Besides, I like kick. Satisfying as a finisher

    ^^^ This. Ghosting a mission is just a strategy to deal with the mission. It is as valid as other strategies. I made my main ghostable now and can help out in the next tf she will enter.

    One of the faultline arcs give you a temp power to infiltrate a arachnos base and unhindered find a glowie..
    for the duration of the temp (1 hour) you can finish of the entire arc by using this.

    One might ask oneself why would they make such a mission if ghosting was considered the "wrong way" to play it?

    That mission was a gem. Theres something so damn GOOD about waltzing through the Arachnos base in Huntsman kit, praying like crazy that one of the Fortunatas or Bosses wont, somehow, see through the disguise.

    They should add more diversity to missions and TFs. Too often its 'defeat so and so' or 'kill x green things'. Boring. Repetitive. I despised the Leviathan SF after the run, due to the silly amount of LB hunting involved.

    Infiltration missions would be great. Something like the Cavern TF, where you need to simultaniously click glowies. Idea;

    Infiltration TF

    Mission 1 -confrontation-
    Fairly standard mission just to start off, hunt down boss etc to find out what the hecks going on

    Mission 2 -Scouting-
    Disguised mission, fairly simple, two, maybe more bosses to avoid that can see through the disguise, but only at a reasonable range, no spying them from miles off to blow the cover. Get intel from computers, w/e

    Possibilities for missions here

    Finale -Covert Ops strike-
    Disguised, certain doors need to be opened throughout base, etc. Diguise is unlimited, only for this mish. Doors may need two or more people to click glowies (insert codes) at the same time. Things like pressure pads as well, teamwork and stealthiness, etc.
    Confrontation with EB/AV.
    Then you need to exfiltrate the base. Either rely once more on the disguises to bypass the massive reinforcement waves, or, if you dare, simply blow the hell out of everything on the way out

    Any takers on that?

    But yes, I say /unsigned for the most part. EBs are one of the little flavouring chunks we get, far too infrequnelty in my opinion. I know from grim experience that getting a team redside can be more painful than Nos or the LBB itself, but they work as they are meant to, really.

    The ONLY EB I have found to be a real challange, and one who isnt normally an AV, is a Ballista. And even then I managed to solo it. Orange conning (equal lvl), with a Claws/ninja stalker. Challanging, but very satisfying. I still have the spine somewhere

    It can. I did. "Why play if you're going to do all you can not to".

    I'm very much someone who enjoys the journey more than the destination, because I see that as the whole point really. Remove that, and you remove the point (for me at least).

    Saying that, I do tend to prefer playing tanks, scrappers and brutes and have the mind set "why go around when you can go THROUGH", so perhaps my perception of what's a fun way to complete a mission is different from the ghost advocates.
