The reason we don't have this is because of the existence of internet cafes, and because players are stupid.

Right, when do we start? -

In a sense i kinda agree Granite shouldnt be a toggle it should be on par with other defensive sets and used once every 3-6 minutes draining the stone brute/tanker of all end and health as such a feat would hurt anyone .
[/ QUOTE ]Balance by unification is not a good approach at balance.

I have ten brutes and i rarely need to use tier 9 powers on them, Why use and waste tier 9 power when a single good luck can take its place (and save it for when you get swamped). Thats what i had in mind for granite you dont have to be in granite as a stone brute/tanker to be good but they just seem to keep it on , though i have only ever seen one person switching between the armors for the situation. oh wait thats just me
[/ QUOTE ]
So?
I've seen an Invul tanker with nothing but Resist Physical Damage and Invincibility. At level 26.
Its NOTHING to do with the powers, its the players that play them.
Play smarter, dont break the game. -
Feel jaded? Yup. I guess it is a case of 'Sit tight and Pray', however.
Just so long as they stay off that damned nerf button... -

Balance by unifaction = I13 PvP.
Balance in that way is NOT balance! Granite tanks can get floored so very easily, so long as you adapt. Granite is incredibly tough, WHILE ALSO giving you -recharge and -damage. None of other tier 9s do that. It is unique, it looks cool, and for pete sake STOP TALKING ABOUT POINTLESS NERFS.
-deepbreath-
Seriously. This is getting Silly. The sort of Silly I mentioned before.
If the Devs want to stop farming THAT badly, they will just have to come in game and moderate it themselves. Otherwise its All aboard the Failtrain to nerf city. And on that day, Heroes will start to fall. -

Right, thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated - I feel my AoE output without Heavy Burst is perfectly acceptable, and I'll definitely be keeping my spiderlings, how about the "reinforcement" Arachnobot BLasters?
[/ QUOTE ]
Walking tanks. When all you need to do is hit venom nade and suppression to chew up a mob, you know your chittering little minions are working right
Honestly, holds, more -def, decent damage and tough. Sure they cant be perma (shame) but they are dead hitty.
Five pets is fine, if you really want all 6 Id reccomend getting Maces AoE Immob, great for really locking down mobs for the slaughter. -
Agreed and /Signed
It gets sucky having to wait, and more annoying when you have to re-type.
I mean, YES 30 seconds isnt that long...but it grates. -
Would love stuff BASED off existing groups, though.
Like more accurate historical kit, like WW2 stuff (5th Column inspired), decent steampunk kit (Nemesis) more punky looking kit, ripped jeans etc (Freaks....actually a lot of NPCs) and suchnot. -

I know you suck for causing someone to post on Mothership Raid ChannelI was lucky I saw you two having your couples arguement in the Help channel.

That ended up to be a joke in which a few people took a bit TOO serious . .. . . . . . . .Just ask anybody in atlas at the time, i got slaughtered!

Damn...
Any apendages that you didn't get back can I have to hit you with?

I recall the original intention for MA rewards was for it to be limited to Half XP/Inf for published arcs, with Dev Choice Arcs getting elevated to full xp/inf.
Would setting the rewards to that level solve the PL/Farming problem?
[/ QUOTE ]
Correct and it was abandoned due to peoples general reply of "why play for half XP when i can do paper missions for full XP" and thus the idea was abandoned.
And as i said any reduction of 50% in XP is not going to stop farmers as there still going to be racking in XP far quicker than doing normal missions.
something dose occur most farm missions I've found rely on having a single mob as the enemy you face even perhaps some kind of minimum number of enemies in a group something like
1x Boss variant
1x lieutenant variant
3x minion variant
also a reduction in how many rescues you can have mite help
and if nothing else a variation in mob type may make farm missions more interesting as there would be more things to kill.
[/ QUOTE ]

Given the 100k limit, enforcing that people HAVE to have arcs a certain way is Dev suicide.
On of my arcs uses normal Crey for two missions, then moves to the custom mob. This Custom mob has no minion class, simply because I tested them over and over and found them too easy for the story I had in mind.
Whatever happens;
CHANGES TO 'FIX' MA SHOULD NOT IMPACT THE NORMAL GAME.
All this 'Have to train after levelling' nonesense...I have grown fond of Atlas Sewer runs, as not only does it save me the hassle of going through the same intro arc over and over, but it actually FEELS Heroic. Band of Heroes scouring the sewers from the evil of the Vahzilok/Hellion/Lost. It might not be IC, but it is FUN. It is worthwhile.
Anything that affects the entire game for the sake of attempting (and, like normal IMO, failing) to contain farming, is Silly. The Sort of Silly that you should be allowed to hang people for...

'Light'? Its only a bit less then Arm Lash. And PBAoE, while Lash is a rather awkward cone. Unless I've missed a chunk of something?
-
Wolf glanced around sharply.
"'Came to Earth'? Where are you from then?" he asked, caution in his words. Anyone who knew Vanguard would probably know Wolf, as if the Redding wasn't enough evidence needed. -
AE Tickets are one of the bits I actually like.
No longer do I have to put up with the ludicrous prices the Vendors charge. Instead, I can be in those magic green numbers All. The. Time.
Up yours, Stores and Arbiters. -

Quick solution. Remove the MA building from Atlas. That way the farmers will move to other, hopefully, less obnoxious places.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, just don't let anyone over level 10 access the Galaxy, Atlas and Mercy Isle glowie MA thingie (give a "You cannot enter" error). There are some great 1-10 arcs out there.
And remove auto-sk entirely. Ridiculous idea.
[/ QUOTE ]
Remove higher level access to building...might work.
Divided on the auto-sk. For actual mid levels that would be a needless blow, but for low level farming carp, maybe...
-Goes back to his actual story driven arcs- -
Wolf waited, getting on one knee in cover behind a car, sighting down the Reddings scope and keeping a lookout on the building, watching for any more obvious movement or things out of whack. This was Hick's gig, and he wasn't about to crash in on it. Besides, he always had been the shot taker, not the caller.

Hmm, if you cant remember what kit your chari has, I would check your own memory if I were you
Given they DO show up when editing at the tailor, so you can check what they look like, having them show on the log in shouldnt really be an issue. Having them out on the Costume select I can understand more, as you could have a simialr costume, just with different weapon options. -
[ QUOTE ]
Not if you make a point of visiting the fateweaver first.
[/ QUOTE ]
Again, depending entirely on where your mission is. Some of the ones out along the coast and docks area mean the fateweaver would be a large detour on an already too long trip. -
Even something just using cape/trenchcoat physics would be nice. Something that doesnt look like it has a wire though it
-
Aye, I would like to be able to publish more arcs. I can understand why they dont make single arcs bigger (even if I dont like the limit!
)
-
Would be nice to see this implemented on the Costume selection screen in game, not sure how much use it would be on the login menu though.
-
Hmm, explained properly, yes, /Signed
They SHOULD use patches as more than just 'make it better' bandaids. They should use them to properly fix things. Like that blooming chat bug, the dissapearing capes, the sticking Protector Bots(Which are STILL there from around I12!) and things like that. -
My review request here, for some full reviewing;
Knife: In the Back
ID: 70658
Length: 3 missions
The Rikti are offering some of their tech and machinery to anyone who can do some dirty work for them. Given the nature of the problem, this is fairly repeatable (by different characters, anyway)
Give it a whirl when you have time =] -
Spiderlings are your little meatshields. Shooty and with -def. Take em, love em, bless their spiky little arms.
Personally I skipped out on Heavy Burst. With crabs, make sure you have the Venom - Frag - Suppression combo, even if it comes in late. Very effective.
Arm lash is the most damaging Crab melee power, I think. Frenzy does AoE, but a bit less damage, and more end cost. -
I think Libby seems to look better than Ni. Not sure why, but something just seems to click better.
The stuff is sitll good, great even. But I do agree that the face are quite similar.
Practice makes perfect, and your churning these out a healthy rate =]
