Issue 15: You Guys Are still Here?
[/ QUOTE ]
*snicker* -
I had a lvl 16 WS collecting dust for a few months...I worked so hard to get one and then plllttt! I couldn't bare it! Well I read this Topic due to the fact that I feel ALOT like the OP...well I took everyone's word for it and Stuck it out. WOW
I enjoyed playing him so much! I normally play Red Side so I NEED damage and my Kheld greatly obliged! It was so hardcore that when I'm on team and I start my combo of Mire -> Nova -> Blast to oblivion the other team mates would switch baddies b/c they know the ones I am blasting will not last for more than 30 seconds. He is now 21 and I am having a blast! I still have more awesome powers to experience!
The damage I put out right now from stacking the Two Mires with my Dwarf unslotted amazes me...I can't imagine what he'll be like with SO's.... -
I will have to come back to this thread later bud some advice for the OP and anyone who plays a kin...tell them you will try to SB as much as you can but you have othe responsibilities you owe to the team to keep them alive. My AR/Kin has some redraw issues so I tell them chill out and wait...yes you might get kicked but you will ALWAYS find another team within seconds.

Meh, I love the look of /ELA so I stuck with it. Now don't get me wrong when I tried Willpower I pooped my pants but the look and the feel of /ELA MAkes me happeh! Plus the Recharge from Reflexes, hasten and IO make me want to o lala! lol

Hehe it's good to know that I am not the only one excited about this release.

I hadn't even thought about new ATs. That would be the best thing ever! What would be really cool is if the Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning ended up being a new Epic AT instead of a power set (: I'd love to play a dual pistols EAT that was as tough and durable as the VEATs are!
If they did this, they could call these two new Epic ATs Rogues, and they would have no moral compass, but instead be able to become hero or villain at will and travel to either side!

Good idea actually! -

Just for the record, I don't think my opinion is fact or anything. I've been playing for over four years, I've quit a couple times, but always come back. I'm just stating how I feel about the game at this point. To me the most exciting things to come out in the past year (since i12) is the booster packs. I've just been extremely bored with most everything else. That's why I'll probably quit if issue 15 is crap. I'm not saying I won't come back later after i16 comes out, but I've only logged in like once a month in the last 6 months and can't really justify paying the monthly fee if I'm this bored with the game.
Again, this is just my take on the game right now. For a relatively new player I would thing the game is more exciting than ever.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you Idea of relatively new is over two years you're probably correct during the end of i9 and i10 I was still getting used to the game so I didn't really get to enjoy it till i11 then i12 came out and it was all kind of awesome lol.
I do have to say though if you've been playing the game for less than 2 years it would seem awesome. Hell I would have played this game when it first came out but unfortunately my computer then would of been owned by this game lol. Heck this one can barely handle more than one MM on a team lol. -

Isn't it also the return of the 5th Column?
[/ QUOTE ]
The 5th column is the TF/SF part. Then there is the 20 new faces, which is cool and long over due....but if that is the best part of the issue....c'mon, seriously? Hope there is some more snuck in there that hasn't been announced yet. Atleast give claws to Brutes or something
Honestly though, issue 12 was cool. We got an awesome new zone, new enemies, and a great TF/SF. We also got VEATs, power proliferation, and other game play improvements. It was a great issue for just about everyone. That was exactly one year ago.
Since then we got a small issue 13 that gave us a bunch of garbage like Merits and dayjobs. Two new powersets that are ok, but nothing special IMO. Dual builds....meh. Alot of little things that improve over all gameplay, but pretty damn boring.
Then we get issue 14 which is basicly just the MA. Now if you love farming, the MA is bees knees, but for me it has not so far been what I had hoped. I can never find teams to run quality missions anyways. Everyone just uses it to farm, so I end up doing the same ol' TF/SF and Trials just like I have for the last 2 years.
All I'm saying is while I enjoy and appreciate all the QoL improvments, the last year has been really freakin boring to me. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I just want new zones, new enemies, new events, new power sets, and more proliferation. Going Rogue sounds like it will make me happy, but the more I read about issue 15, the more it sounds like more of the same.

LMAO! Wow I only agree with 10 percent of what you just said...but i can't debate i must sleeporz goodnite.
[/ QUOTE ]
What's to debate? That's how he/she feels. I agree with most of what they said, minus the MA farming. I find MA to be a breath of fresh air. There are some very good and interesting missions, and then there is some garbage too.
[/ QUOTE ]
I feel that Dual Builds is a God send and I was more than "meh" excited when they mentioned that one and I don't even PVP but I had plenty of toons who I wanted to do many things with especially my EATS.
MA is amazing and now I'm glad regular teams are starting to resurface again I miss running standard mishes.
I DO admit though I have been waiting for new powersets and proliferation for a while. *I played the 14 trial version A LOT*
I think it's just one of those YMMV. -

Nope, not yet. Today's maintenance was just some prep.

Ah ok. LoL. Sad as this may seem I am VERY excited about the new Faces feature. -
Is I15 up yet on test? I have yet to see anything.

I'm on Freedom too and at one point wanted to try and get in on some ship raids with my the-new 50 stalker. I'd go into the zone and it was just a ghost town. I don't think anyone hangs out in there unless they have something prearranged. Which is sad, it's a nice zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's SUCH a shame. I love co-oping with other heroes. I guess I will have to wait till going rogue!
-
I was wondering what is with the lack of toons doing any Ae mishes in RWZ? It would be hella fun to run some AE mishes with some heroes mixed with villains...yet no one is ever in AE in RWZ...and I play on freedom! Maybe I'm missing something? Can one not have a co-op team for AE? Or do most individuals not know about this? Or care?

There's so many demons in this game what wield different elements!
Hordelings and Spectral Demons have ice, Behemoths have fire, I think Succubi have Psi...

Succubi have Pwnage. lol

wrong. succubi have Bewbage.
[/ QUOTE ]
Counter point:
This is a video game. Bewbage is directly related to, not exclusive to, pwnage. One could say bewbage dictates pwnage levels in many areas.
[/ QUOTE ]
I stand corrected. I must say as well that if you have bewbage no other special abilities are necessary. -

I think the demons will be elemental based. There're many different demons in many religions that wield different elements!

If we let this thread die we should all be VERY ashamed of ourselves.

I wish there was a Necro/Storm guide. I team with a bud of mine and from seeing his henchman cast all the debuff powers PLUS hurricane no one was ever hit.
I wanted storm with more melee toons like Ninja or Necro b/c hurricane really seems to shine with melee pets. Mercs, Thugs and Bots synergize as well but a lot of those pets stay at range and I want to play something completely diff than my Merc/Traps which was all about keeping as far away from the baddies as possible. -
I play squishies for about a year and i just started to get into Tanks...I have a hard time sacrificing 3 power choices for more survivability....I think i need to make a dual build with boxing, tough and weave.
I just want more smash...and no i already have to many brutes lol. -
BTW thanks again for your contributions Magic even though some of us are going at it I appreciate you're dedication to this study! I think this thread also shines light on what a set can and cannot do and you hear people give there input from both sides of the spectrum.
One thing I learned was just roll a toon and lvl it. That will be the true determining factor...I swear if you really love your toon you can make it do some amazing things! Most cookie cutter builds don't hold one's interests as much as a fun toon would! -
I was fighting a Family boss and my Poo man and Singy were going at it! I was curious so I made sure my dom kept the boss guy held. To my amazement Singy was beating the crap out of Pooman and managed to immob me a few times. He had JUST about a few points higher than Animate Stone before I killed off the boss guy.
I started off with Singy being my first Pet and I rem how messed up pooman was before the change. Now he's a powerhouse! To be able to get Singy down that low! Amazing! I still have to say no one can save you like singy he's the ultimate tank...well he not high damaging but he can EASILY take an ambush or two w/o me even looking at his health bar. -
magic to be honest you coudl do some REALLY good tests once i14 comes out. You'll have more freedom to cherry pick your enemies and expose each set to the same situation.
