  1. If you wouldn't beat an AV, you wouldn't be able to finish the first mission. Just saying.
  2. Fiddling with my stormie, this change is not as gentle as it's being advertised. I'm still flinging even-cons dozens of yards away.
  3. Optional content requiring a team is forcing you to do it?

I wanted a community where quality of work was more important than quantity of work, where a good, well-written arc designed to fit into a narrative would get more attention by the nature of its quality than an arc that was whored out to SGMates or that hit hall of fame because it was a farm with a semblence of a plot.

We don't get what we want.

But every defender has a power that benefits from +healing. No really, every one.

You're right, I don't. I can just base it on my experience of playing the game and doing very hard things. And I can say that anyone who needs that sort of thing to handle anything in the game has a problem with defining their need.
  8. Yeah, me, I'm a set muler. I want a minimal number of buttons I have to keep an eye on, so having something that's effectively a set-bonus-granting-auto.

See, now I'm just jealous that you can log onto City at work. >:|

I have never encountered this unless I am literally clicking too fast to see a reaction. Have you considered it might be clientside? Does this show up on multiple computers?

Now, before you start cheering and making "yay, we are fighting the evil farmer" remarks, remember this will also affect people dealing with boss fights and groups of difficult custom enemies in regular stories.
If they need to do that to take on those boss fights and groups of difficult customs, inspiration toking is not their big problem. Not being able to play is.

It is a bit weird that I can do this in hazard zones and you can't do it in AE, but... oh well, so what? If you wanna tell me stuff like what we were doing in CEBR was reasonable, and that this somehow represents neutering of appropriate play, I have a bridge you can buy.
  12. And if you pull the power up on a dominator, you see that it has been in fact coded to act properly. Same as the stun in Boxing.

This is in fact why Castle eventually decided to strip out Oppressive Gloom from Soul Mastery and give us Soul Drain instead (having almost chosen to give us *both*). It would break the rules for it to not be amped by Domination.

By that metric, Crey's Folly and Dark Astoria aren't really hazard zones either. Heck, Dark Astoria never was.

They're hazard zones. They spawn large groups, they have red icons on the maps.
  14. Invoke Panic, with permadom, is a regularly recurring mag 4 fear that can be kept up perma.

It's great. It's also in a pool with two fantastic set bonus mules.

If the difference matters that much to him, then yes, he should. Because the problem there is not the material being OP, it's the player being a fussybritches.
  16. The purples discussion aside, who exactly can possibly be so poor that buying SBE thunderstrikes represents a large advantage over someone who buys them for himself every 5 levels?

    Fire/Fire build?

My build has better recharge for better offence, more Healing Flames, and perfectly good defence against melee, which is going to cover most e/n attacks that are any concern at all.

My greater point is: If you don't like using Consume, why even have the power? Myself, I see it as a fabulous power that gives you the luxury of a near-bottomless well of endurance - if managing your endurance is so onerous a task that putting a power into your rotations makes the whole experience unfun and ineffective, you have far, far bigger problems.

The second or two consume takes to work in is not going to get you killed nor is it going to get your puppy kicked.
  18. It's just the hand-over-head look is goofy. I don't wanna be a superhero while being goofy! D:
  19. I think fixing a bug that bothers a fraction of a fraction of a percent of people a fraction of the time by inconveniencing them for a fraction of a minute is low enough priority that its persistence should not be considered resource mismanagement.
  20. You notice how people who whine about the store also boast about how much they pay?

    Fire/Fire build?

At the same time, I'd note that if you're having endurance woes because of oblit socketing you're not using consume enough.

As others have noted, there is a lack of supply in the mid levels. You guys as the developers can remedy this in a few ways : the paragon market and seeding wentworths with mid level stuffs.
Just because people have said it, doesn't make it meaningfully true.

The addition of mid-level content and new powersets does a lot for mid level salvage and recipes. I've been outfitting alts and notice no real lack of which you speak.

But "these three aren't bad" is the crux of that. If you'd offered a fantastically powerful and expensive set like Basilisk's Gaze or Kinetic Combat... well, personally I'd be cheering since I hate having to track down this unobtainium at Wentworth's, but I suspect some marketeers would be fuming. So take it one step at a time, definitely.
As a marketeer, these things represent a way to exchange eye-are-ell money for fake money at a sanctioned, safe rate that doesn't encourage RMT. It allows players with a desire to invest meaningful real money in the game to do so and improves their exemplaring experience. And it's not priced so low and so easily that they're likely to have a massive impact on the market. So... far as I see, win/win.
  24. I was looking at socketing it with an acc/mez, dam/mez, dam/mez and a single l50 recharge, myself, on a character with 70% global rech. Of course, moar rech would be nice - I'm not sure how the /mez HOS would work though.

I don't think you're ever going to see it at the fairly ridiculous 1-1.07 seconds of TkB, Blaze and BiB.

Just bump it up to 2.12scale damage to match Cosmic Burst/Power Burst/Shout (or even the 1.96 of TkB) and call it good.
It's a pretty relative thing. I want mezzes to be relatively quick so as to minimize the time a thing goes uncontrolled. I also really, realy don't like the hands-up animation.
