Water spout: How do you like slotting it?

I am considering going with an Achilles and force feedback proc, and possible frankenslot the other 4 slots with damage and recharge. How would you slot it?

achilles proc is excellent in it, force feedback will not be useful in it at all

if your short on slots just go with achilles proc and rech IOs, if you have more slots achilles proc + IO set for the dmg/rech and set bonuses

Can you elaborate as to why the are useful or not? Is it the lower probability and shorter duration that makes force feedback "useless"?

I haven't used Water Spout but I understand that it summons a pseudo-pet that will be affected by the FF proc instead fo you, making it totally useless.

because the power is using a pseudo pet the proc would only have a chance to trigger on you when you spawned it, after that any other chances to proc would only affect the psuedo pet and essentially do nothing

To clarify, all pets - including pseudopets - are immune to recharge. So that is why proccing on the pet is totally worthless as Necrotech mentions.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

I have Undermined Defenses: Debuff,Debuff/end/recharge,debuff/end and lvl 50 IO's recharge + 2X Damage.

With the specific character the set bonus of +1.8% max end is important. Your mileage may vary.

IMO give it as many slots as you can. Recharge and damage are important. The Achilles proc is very good. So is the proc from the stun set that does immob. Stun + Immob = hold after all.

It all depends on your character and goals. What set bonuses you want and if your looking at 'Spout as a control power or a damage power. It does both well.

I was looking at socketing it with an acc/mez, dam/mez, dam/mez and a single l50 recharge, myself, on a character with 70% global rech. Of course, moar rech would be nice - I'm not sure how the /mez HOS would work though.

IIRC, Tornado and Water Spout are both auto hit, so accuracy doesn't do anything for you, and mez enhancers are just going to make things run from it longer, which you really don't want.

The optimal slotting is damage, recharge, and procs.

@Draeth Darkstar
Virtue [Heroes, Roleplay], Freedom [Villains], Exalted [All Sides, Roleplay]
Code:
I24 Proc Chance = (Enhanced Recharge + Activation Time) * (Current PPM * 1.25) / 60*(1 + .75*(.15*Radius - 0.011*Radius*(360-Arc)/30))
Single Target Radius = 0. AoE Non-Cone Arc = 360.
