But, regardless - I LOVE this idea! It should be technically possible, we've come across damage "patches" in maps (the Terra Volta reactor, the burning fire parts, the lava pits in Tyrant's cave come to mind) but whether it's feasible what with lag and bandwidth and so forth is another matter.

...another one I've just thought of that is actually up and running in the game already - the oil patches in Port Oakes! It's surprising just how fun it is to just skooch about on those patches for a while...

YES!! After months of thinking, planning and practice with the ever-chaotic TEAM SMASH (all-melee - tanks, scrappers, brutes and stalkers only allowed) we finally managed to beat the Holy Grail of SMASHness - the STF itself.

I know the all-scrapper STF has been done before - but does anyone know if it's been done on Defiant...?

Unless I'm reading it wrong though, there's no way those numbers could be right. 5% tohit, and 16% damage...? Well, at least I know it can be done pretty easily, that's the main thing.

The plan for Recluse is actually just lil' ol' me - popping purples to put me above his 30% tohit buff, and I have a sprint+ninja run speed of about 70mph, so I'll just be running him a merry dance round the pillars. Carrying extra blues for if the end drain hits me, of course.

So, I tried out the Power Analyzer... "unaffected". Though, I tried standing by him with just a couple of purples popped and lasted a good 30 seconds - more than enough to get the temp off. So we're good to go! Cheers for all the advice.

Thanks again... I've just realised, I can give this a shot if I pop Aeon into an AE mission. I'll see if I can get a Power Analyzer on him and post up anything I find.

Interesting topic. I won't get deep into the numbers... others already summed up what I had to say there - but I WILL say that stacking sonic debuffs and kin buffs are a popular tactic for speed runs, precisely because of their synergy damage-wise. They do for DPS what the defence/to-hit scale does for survivability.

Thanks guys. I knew about the invulnerability and the damage boost, but not that it can be recast - I figured it was a toggle that the temp suppresses - so that's handy.

Thing is, I'm already a softcapped SR scrapper and on one run I had to act as tank as we didn't have one - and it seems there's some sort of to-hit buff he gets from it too, as I was hit 3 times in a row on subsequent attempts (yes, we wiped twice...!!) If I could get the numbers for how much of a buff, then I know how many purples to take.

...incidentally - that's a big part of the plan for taking on Recluse. ;D

Hi all! I've been mulling over in my head exactly how to go about running an all-melee STF - that is, all tanks or scrappers, and nothing else. I've got plans for what to do about Ghost Widow, Recluse, even the towers and repairmen - but what I don't know for certain is exactly how Dr Aeon and that magical forcefield of his works.

To that end - can anyone point me to the numbers? What it does, how often it's up, what buffs it gives him, and so on. I've done the STF many times on normal teams, so I know we need to use the temp from the Thorn Tree - any advice on how to do so without dying messily would be welcome, but if possible I'd like to figure out some kind of tactic myself.

Otherwise, I'd have to say I'd prefer to have versions of some existing pistols - match compensator, the tactical pistol - with colourable casing, and not just the sight...?

Guys and gals, I am absolutely gutted. I may not be getting the rewards - my account expired earlier today (and once a couple of months ago) and worse yet, I couldn't reactivate straightaway as the account pages were down at the time.

It's not as though I'm not loyal... both times the account was reactivated in well under 24 hours, I've not skipped any time since I started playing 3 years ago, and it's not like I'm about to disappear either. Thing is, this has only even happened because it suddenly wasn't possible to have a recurring plan on a Switch card a while back...! I had to get the two-month one-off payments, I now have a Visa to counter that, but it's been a bit late coming really.

Anyone know who I should contact to "argue my case", so to speak, and try and get my name back on the list...? (really REALLY want the badge *and* the beta...!)
