Just had the wierdest incarnate run ever. Now I'm used to the fact of the League/Team bug where it looks like you cannot see your league in the menu or on the map. However today at the same time my character was demoted to level 13 and lost access to most of his powers.
I don't have any other builds except my original so if it did switch to another as the rest of the League suggested, surely I should of gone to level 1? Relogging fixed the issue. Anyone else experienced this?

Ill/FF is far from bad. If people have a spare slot I recommend they try this combo. I never tried Controllers before because of the lack of an Blast primary/secondary. However when I rerolled for a Praetoria playthrough recently I thought I would try the build for a few levels. It has now been renamed to my main and is currently 26 (Most of my toons never make it past 12). The only thing it doesnt have going for it which is noticable is Debuffs.
My reasons Ill/FF is the business!
1. Confuse - IMO one of the best powers in the game.
2. Holds - Decieve/Flash.
3. Mez protection in the form of Dispersion bubble.
4. Lots of Defense is good. Team mates get more resulting in gratitude. IO sets make getting close to capped ranged defense easy.
5. Superior Invisibility - Non Supressing and at the stealth cap for PVE useful for Flash/Confuse.
6. Personal Force Field - Nothing like being almost invincible as the team gets ambushed by the armies of Praetoria.
7. Personal Invinicible Tanks. - Phantom Army loves taunting multiple mobs.
8. Phantasm - Good Old Phanty
9. Damage is not superb but the contribution from Phantom Army and Phanty along with
Spectral wounds is good enough when used with Containment.
10. Possible to have 2 Aoes using a patron and Repulsion bomb.
11. KB goodness with Force Bolt/Force Bubble. Can be used Strategically or just to grief the melee players. (Im not like that of course!)
I just wish someone had pointed out the awesomeness of this combination earlier in my gameplay. -

So glad that I prepurchased thanks for the info

I vote the same as above.
I will also join the channel after the downtime. Just hope its not the full 5 hours. -
My Merc Masterminds henchman mostly have names based off "Full Metal Jacket"
Soldiers: Pvt. Pile, Pvt. Joker
Medic: Pvt. Cowboy
Spec Ops: L.Cpl Snowball, Cpl Punishment
Commando: Sgt Suicide (Hes called this as hes the one that always uses detonator and fails to run away fast enough)

Quote:My first 50 and main most of my COX Time is a Merc Mastermind which I have played for 4 years and I fully agree that Serum should be an aoe click buff like the upgrades are now (Damn those old days of single click upgrades!!) but just reduce the bonuses for affecting all 6 henchman. I haven't had serum in my powertray for years but when it was there I didnt really notice the difference. If I'm in a situation where my henchman are dying my Commando is usually the last one standing anyway and some buffs to himself aint gonna keep him alive that long when he has a 8 man spawn gunning for him. With 6 minions, Serum's single target effect is the killer. So what you made 1 of your minions (most likely the Commando) next to unstoppable. The other 5 are most likely going to die if you attempt to take advantage of such a situation.
All-Pet Serum perhaps? (Can we call it Stimpack?)
Call it Stimpack and make the henchman shout
"Ah, Thats the stuff!"
and I'm Sold! -
I agree that if that was me I would not be impressed. I have played COX for a few years now and yet I only used the petition feature myself for the first time last week. I had not been given the midnight visage temp power after a mission completion and was therefore unable to enter the midnight club. I sent a petition and within 45 mins a GM was online apologising for the inconvenience and promptly reset my mish.
Lucky for me my first time I needed customer service it was 10/10.
So it's not all bad but then again I have less experience dealing with the customer service part of the game than others. -
Since the VEAT exclusive missions are a little lacking, I was wondering if people know of or have made any MA Arachnos themed missions where you are portrayed as an Arachnos soldier in some way. Not the your an outside agent like most of the dev non MA story arcs are. (I understand they were intended that way as VEAT's weren't around when most of them were made)
Something similar yet more extensive than the save the Arachnos operatives from the snakes mission given to you by Kalinda. Although its not its initial intention it makes me personally feel like my character is an actual Arachnos Huntsman coming to the rescue which makes me enjoy the game that much more.
Currently making an arc myself specifically for the SOA AT (looking at Arachnos basic training and some missions) but still learning how to use the editor so may be a while. -
I have been inactive for a while awaiting for Going Rogue to be released so I can make a dual pistols but god knows when it will come out. Due to real life I now have more free time. I want to make a new corruptor and do everything I possibly can in game content wise but can't decide what build. I have had both of these builds in the 40+ back when MA was being abused so i know a little about them. I only got these from 1 day runs from farming but it didn't feel right so I deleted them. Just wondering if anyone had any opinions on which to choose?
-
I fell of my chair with excitement as soon as I started watching this. Then when I saw the pistol my chair broke.

I made this build for PVE, I have no idea how to make effective PVP builds but I'm guessing powers like combat jumping, stealth etc would give the extra egde. Will most likely use my second build for PVP should I feel I want/need to do so.

Currently working on getting all Villain AT's to 50 and for stalkers I am going Claws/Regen. Wondering if this mids build seems ok and if someone with more stalker experience can give me some pointers.
The level slotting is a bit off its just the way I added the slots in mids.

The only thing I would like but i know will never happen is that I made my account in august 2006 but currently only have 15 month vet reward. I wouldnt mind paying extra to make ALL the months since aug 2006 count towards my veteran badges.
-
Well then I'm suggesting not to suggest.
Again like most suggestions its not going to happen but I'm just putting it out there. -
I know this is a "Suggestions Thread" and I'm not trying to be rude but people shouldn't really put too much effort into introducing new powersets/ideas. We are still waiting for dual pistols since around 2007 when they were hinted at being done and hinted again in the speech in pocket D. Probably still looking at i19 before implementation if we go at the current trend of [censored] content in the issue updates.
Edit: No offense intended to OP or following posters just seriously [censored] off with the state of affairs at the moment -
I have used the MA to Farm and I have even run the teams.
I use the name Sullster on these characters and have got them from 1-40 on multiple builds then remade and deleted them. (probably around 20 times) Most people I teamed with kept asking me why I keep remaking. The only reason I farmed was to let me test out the higher powers of certain powersets without having to spend weeks to get to a high enough level and think "well this set is [censored]" or "This powers animation looks [censored]". Farms gave me some nice infamy from selling rare salvage and thats about it.
So what kind of punishment do I get????? -
The mission in Mercy where the navigation marker is bugged, you always have to find the door manually on the map or you just go in and out of the same building. (Iirc its one of missions from the wretch arc) Thats been a bug since I started playing in early 2007. Its nothing major but still..
-
Thanks for the advice Ideon it should come in handy when I make my ss/inv brute later on. I decided to delete my SS/inv as I couldn't see me playing it as my main. I rolled an electric/electric brute and I'm having a blast!
-
Just teamed with a level 45 who didn't know what infamy was...
Enough said. -
At the moment I'm considering rolling an Inv brute as I'm not that keen on Willpower, still deciding on the Primary to take though. Feel like I'm leaning towards SS, Any Suggestions or tips?
Edit: After getting my [censored] kicked again on my Ar/traps on the lowest difficulty I renamed Sullster to Sgt. Sullster and have rolled a SS/Inv. Any up to date IO builds and help would be appreciated. -
In all the time I've played COV I have never got a brute past 20. I've always been a ranged fan so Corruptors, Dominators and Masterminds I have rolled aplenty.
Its quite funny really because on most teams I'm often told "Your not a brute" or "Your not a tank" when I get die as I decide to Full Auto a +4 Spawn and take the Alpha strike. I find this quite amusing since at level 50 there is no penalty for death. However on some teams I have been kicked off for letting the team down and other stupid reasons.
Warning: Long winded story.
Went to do some soloing last night on my main in RWZ for some Vanguard merits to buy the uniform. Got the mission to investigate a Vanguard Captain.
Upon entering the mission I encounter a Longbow EB I proceed to stack 12ish mines and my other trap abilities. Think heh this is easy. He runs over the mines and proceded to be dented for about 1/10000 of his health. I promptly ate the floor even after popping almost everything in my inspiration tray. Managed to get a controller to come help me and it just took twice as long for me to faceplant than before.
So I send a Broadcast and a stalker and a brute comes to my aid. After finding the EB, within seconds he was eating the floor and the brute commented how he hit like a girl. I want to be that awesome!
I've been looking at postings and guides on here and the US boards but most are a bit dated. Considering I'm a brute noob I was wondering if any of you veterans could point me in the right direction for a first time brute that could solo anything short of an AV. -

That's only the 2nd build that has made it work out acceptably alright that I've seen.

I've done something right for once??Well its good for me as I get a 3% def bonus to all which is nice and I really needed the kb protection.
