Quote:I have a hard time buying that any version of Windows Mobile will ever challenge the iPhone in terms of usability. The last 10 years of Windows Mobile has been utter crap.Already hacked it to run Windows Mobile 6.5 Beautiful OS, it is going to be a strong competitor for the iPhone once it goes live.
I'm no anti-Microsoft zealot (I like Vista for pete's sake!), but that's a stone cold fact. -

I'm unsure if I'll join up. 8PM is going to kind of push it for me on Wednesdays due to recurring late meetings, and going to the gym. I'll probably quit Isos even earlier than usual this time (like before it starts)!

You should get a G1 then. Its online capabilities are pretty solid, plus while it does have a touchscreen, it still has a slide-up keyboard as well.

I have a very boring Samsung. However, I have no need for anything fancy so I keep it simple.

Quote:The old version supports that kind of a mode. You can select your powers from 1-50, and then add slots. It was fairly free-form in that regard.I would have guessed "What would Hamster do?" button.
Anyhow, I like the planner from before, but haven't used in a while. So I am not sure how much has changed. I would prefer a "respec mode". As I recall, you would use powers and add slot, just like you are leveling. But for my use, I was rearrange builds from 50's and use to the respec format (pick powers, then slots after). Could be a pain to have such a feature.
The new version takes it a few steps further though in terms of flexibility -
I've become a big fan of Consolas, which was released with Vista. Sure, not everyone has it, but I changed Firefox to use it for any fixed-width fonts.

So yeah, I've started working on an updated planner to finally replace the Issue 9 compatible version. I've already got a bunch of new features and changed a lot of functionality to try and make it easier to use.
I'd like to try and get some ideas of what you all would like to see in this planner. I'd like to try and avoid the whole "show me numbers!" suggestions though, since while that may or may not be in the new version, it will never, ever, ever be as intensive as Mids. If you want that stuff, use Mids!I do know that you guys want at least some of that, and you'll probably get it, so let's move on!
So if there was some other kind of feature you've always wanted, or something about using my old one that really bugged you (besides it being horribly out of date and ugly as sin), I'd love to hear it!
And as a note for Voo - I've already got a feature that may actually make him want to use it -
Quote:While factually 100% correct, that post is headache inducing. So... much... WIKI!Wikia's wiki isn't called Paragon Wiki. There's a reason: because the name Paragon Wiki belongs to the Paragon Wiki, and the Paragon Wiki moved away from Wikia. Wikia's wiki is just called "City of Heroes Wiki".
(not that it's your fault) -

Quote:Interesting idea, I like it. I'd want to scout out some decent ones before hand though, but I do like it.Another option for a pseudo TF is to do a story arc through Ouroboros. Just like on a TF, each person on the team earns merits. And I believe issue 16 includes a bump in merits for many of the arcs.
There's still a lot of arcs I haven't done. Especially in the 35+ range. On both hero and villain side. -
Yeah, that was one very nice thing about it: Virtually zero travel, with 4/5 missions being on the train.
-
...is that Kerri Strug being punched in the face by Chuck Norris?
-
Next week for sure!
Now, I have to admit - Khan was fairly uninteresting as far as TFs go. The first mission was interesting, following the trail of Arachnos and then warping into the 5th Column caves. The fight with Reichsman was a little interesting with him summoning all those AVs, but fighting him specifically was incredibly boring. All the middle missions were extremely average. Nothing exciting at all.
I dunno. I don't know how often I'll run this one. Yeah, it was short, but Hess runs roughly the same time and is far more dynamic. -
Quote:How is it rude for them to use an innovative way to protect their product? If it was affecting people who paid for the game (one of the major DRM complaints), I'd agree... but as long as the people who legitimately purchased the game aren't hindered in some way, I say kudos to the dev team for figuring out a good way to let the honest people play, and let the pirates get a taste of what they're missing by purchasing the game legally.i will agree that it is better then the normal DRM, but i just find that they are beeing a little rude about it. i got the collector's edition and i am loving it but then again i can affored it. personaly i think they should be nicer to the pirates then saying " the bug is your morals"
Brilliant move. -
Yes but couldn't that also be attributed to I16 open beta? I'd be hesitant to heavily link any decrease in live population directly to CO's launch.
-
Nice run, folks! 1 hour, 22 minutes, 1 death.

Quote:It's still a dumb question. COH had it's fair share of issues at launch, and still does. I'm unwilling to judge CO against CoH until it's seen at least 6 months worth of development.I think what he means is, why bother creating a lousier game. If you're going to try to beat City, shouldn't you at least make the new game better?
I don't hold a lot of hope for it, as what I've seen doesn't interest me at all, but to say that just because CoH exists people shouldn't make similar products is... well... dumb. -
Quote:The entirety of that sounds completely awful."Our specialty The Seafeast - is what makes us unique! We take a variety of crab, clams, mussels, shrimp in the shell, salmon, halibut, oysters, potatoes, corn on the cob and andouille sausage steamed with mouth watering spices and pour it right on your table! No need for silverware, we give you a bib and a mallet and let you go at it!" -- the Crab Pot website
This is what Praetorian restaurants must be like. And if they aren't, they should be. -
Quote:I would say that's a poor choice on Twitter to not allow centering... but I don't use Twitter so I don't personally have much stake in it.I did some quick searching and it seems that Twitter only gives the option for Upper-left and Tiling (for smaller images) and I found a How to Create a Twitter Background page that suggests using at least 1600x1200 and a Twitter Background Gallery page that suggests 1500x1300, which positron's picture complies with.
Then again, they also suggest not to design the background with information on the right side of the side bar.. which would be a flaw in Positron's image choice. (Or is it a flaw in Twitter's design for not having the Centered option? lol)
Either way, losing a couple characters depending on screen size isn't a huge deal, and it was fun talking about it. haha -
