I managed to get my Nightwidow to level 50 when they came out but that's because primarily they play like a stalker anyways. :P

Quote:Yup, see Kant's post.I actually have no idea what "match compensators" are. I tried googling it but only found pages talking about this game. But I like the bulky look of those guns.
The Match 15 is arrogantly nicknamed Laura Croft pistols:
There's a bit of controversy on the use of actual muzzle breaks on guns, but as Kant pointed out it's primarily used for target practice sports where that little bit of recoil reduction can make all the difference. -
-
You mean Match 15s (Laura Croft's guns from the movie) that they discontinued. Though I believe the Match Elites are reverse engineered to fit the Compensator attachment. Truly nice weapons, more of a fan of the fantasy version portrayed in Splinter Cell of the Five Seven with compensators that doubled as suppressors.

I don't like drama. Maybe because so many people I know bring the drama from IC to OOC. Otherwise it's the same boring and inconceivable drama sort that I tend to observe. Look at it as I've been traumatized, because either those I've engaged with drama were just that bad or it sprout out at the worst time in the worst kind of fashion... it's just not me. I have plenty of things to stress out about in real life, I don't need it invading my fantasies. :P
Quote:Yeah I don't classify that as drama. It's the tools made to make a story, plot methods. I'm all for that ****, the conflict and climax - hell yes.But drama is fun! there's character development, plotting out and moving storylines forward, conflict, resolution, heroism, villiany, I mean its...what? not that kind of drama? oh uh...
never mind ^.^ -

Seraph is self explanatory, his half demon heritage makes him a Devil. In the lore I have going Devils are equal in strength and statue as an inverted Seraphim. He's a hybrid in any case, because the philosophy is that you don't become a devil simply due to blood but because of your awareness when dwelling into your demonic nature (IE: If your not careful you become what you hate - hence monstrous demons). I supposed to an extent his primal form is that of a stereotypical Satan (wings, horns, disproportionate Gargantua-like form). But upon gaining his individuality while donning that demonic form, becoming self aware and the like, his belief becomes the source of the transformation into a more humanoid-prince like demon.
Saber Wolf or Matt Shepard is human by all accounts who merely dons a nano-like suit that allows him to prowl the streets. He was in the Delta force thus he has military training.
Walking Grave is pretty much a zombie. Nathan Hallows was a mob-hitman, working for a mob group who ended up betraying him and getting him killed. Out of a sick joke Death granted him immortality to where he simply cannot die. So he runs around with an axe and pistols, doing outrageously suicidal stuff to kill his enemies.
And I have more not in the mood to type up. >_< -
Quote:I dunno, my understanding of Kheldians were that they themselves are a parasite which they require hosts in order to live.((My MA scrapper can be a student from a Tibetian monastery. Or he can be from the Ultimate Fighting circuit. Or he can have a chip in his head that downloads the moves to his muscles. He can be anything. People don't assume. You don't have to explain.
A Kheld is a Kheld unless you want to continually explain to people that he's *not* roleplayed as a Kheld. That is crippling to roleplay, at least for me. I mean, yeah, I could roleplay a doorknob if I really wanted to, but it wouldn't be much fun, and snot being fun is crippling to roleplay. To me. Maybe other people don't roleplay to have fun. Dunno.))
Like the PPD having Kheldian officers, my understanding was that police officers who are decorated enough to handle the the merge; sign all that imaginary discloser stuff we never hear about, and then become the host. It doesn't necessarily have to mean the alter ego of your Kheld came from another planet as well. -
You should know the answer. If anybody you do not know is asking you for personal information and giving you random links, thinks about it.

Looking forward to the day where I might be able to contribute. My stalker is sitting steadily at 39 but hoping to break the 40s here soon and huff it to 50 :3

Running around The Hollow's where the park is is pretty neat too. Unfortunately plenty of CoT as well >_<
-
-jumps up- Ooo yes, just need to get some measurements. -Pulls out a string ruler just for the occasion and gives a lightly tight pull, erupting a loud snap-like noise-
-
-falls over upside down on the floor with his eyes covered in Xs- Ow... but... but... muscle toned women... in togas, and... loin cloths... coconut bras... wielding finely sharped swords and axes... -drools and twitches-
-
-
-swoops up the side of the airship and vaults over the railing to land on his feet and rise to a standing strait form- Morning everyone.
-
-swoops down and lands on the railing giving a wave to anybody that notices him- Just popping in to say ello and pay my regards, looks like it was quiet day. Toodles!
-performs a roll backwards and off like a diver before disappearing into the clouds-

Quote:You're lucky. Rikti Drones drive all my stalker toons nuts. Either you can't hit them or when you do it doesn't get the job done. Though *** help mostly but if you're fighting a yellow orange rikti drone solo... good luck wont help you.Tankers. The one thing that I've never gotten beyond 20.
And defenders. Never made it beyond 30.
And in third place for inability to play: Stalkers.
I had a level 20-something ma/sr stalker and encountered a mission full of spectral spirits.
I'm still not fully recovered. That and they see through your hide.
Spectral spirits can be nasty as well due to their PBAoEs, I really hate that. Going in for the kill only to get hit by 5 damage which not only bumps you out of hide but interrupted your AS making you vulnerble in the event you used a placate to get out of harms way. Though from my experience once you get your tier 9, things change a bit in terms of resistance to death, your survival can really sky rocket once you practice your build enough. I had people flipping out when I tanked the Rikti AV in one of those story arch missions in RWZ as a DB/SR... holly crap was I pressing buttons or what xD It was consistently weaken - dot -weaken - weaken - dot - Elude -weaken - Dot... on and on while I waited for the team to get back from hospitals.
Quote:Tanks, for the most part. Exception: My namesake, but being Fire/Fire, he's more scrapper-ish anyway.
Controllers.
Kheldians.
Defenders, for the most part.
Defenders and Controllers for me suffer the same problem. They're all primarily support on teams, which is fine, but your more so watching your team's back than anything else (in the sense that if people start getting beat you're either rolling out the heals or holding hordes of mobs). -
Yeah it feels too simplistic for me, like wise for Blasters but in a pseudo reverse kind of way, where you just run and stand there trying to piss everybody off so your team can be the mobile ones. Where as ranged classes or MMs, you're in the back lines just chewing hit points from the mobs at a distance. I fell in love with stalkers because they took the metagame of a scrapper and kind of made it more... intuitive in a sense. Because you can't tank as well as a scrapper and it requires positioning (<3 Placates).

Ok I'll cave, the beach in Talos at the pier is pretty nice. Founders Fall can be enjoyable as well because it reminds me of Venice. Trying to think of other places I found way back when but it's taking me time to remember it all.
-
Class I just can't seem to play are controllers, Master Minds, and Tankers. I just like being right there in the action as a damage dealer. Other classes seem to sit back and be more supportive; I like playing a character that is self reliant. Tankers are exceptions, something about playing them makes them seem slow.

Well I do have another level 50 stalker, DB/SR. I just doubt I'll be able to make it. I'm on the pacific cost and have to be at work at 4:30pm. I assume that's going to clash with my availability times.
But either way, good luck and all that jazz. I'll hopefully be able to attend another all stalker ITF one day.
