  2. Blargh. I love that these events are going on, and I'd love to be able to attend at least one, but they are very unfriendly timewise to those who work and live on the West Coast.

Those who can make it, have fun. Those who can't because they'll be at work/in transit/whatever, you have my sympathies.
  3. How about Twin Dragons? (ie. Gemini hailing from the Year of the Dragon)

I could probably start a couple of strike forces for you Tricky, but you probably couldn't afford the fees I charge for starting strike forces.

*chuckles* Thankfully I have no shortage of that at home. Now I need to remember to fill out vacation paperwork for this.

And just for Trick: NO STRIKE FORCES, ALL TASK FORCES!!!
  7. Eeeep. Having been in a similar situation a couple years ago, all I can say (and I know it doesn't sound like much) is hang in there. It's a job and it's a steady influx of monies until something better comes along for ya that you'll enjoy.

Is there any information on where to preorder GR? I'm not seeing anything on various online sites as well as nothing on the PlayNC store as of yet.
  10. Not I - I've been working on other things ingame whilst waiting for GR that I /know/ I'll toss to the wayside once GR lands.
  11. Happy Birthday Frost!!!!
  12. This one turned out very nice - I love the details all around, especially the sunlight in the corner.

It's actually rather simple. Some of the skin tones are the same as the costume palette colors. Match up the skin and costume colors along with the aura colors, get everyone on the same page with body type/proportions/costumes, etc and you have a wicked trio of ghostly ladies.

Or, if this was done after the ability to save costumes was implemented, save one, send and adjust the others accordingly.
  15. These are looking great! I'm enjoying watching these get better and better with each subsequent piece of artz.
  16. WOOHOOOOO!!!!

    Conga rats!
  17. Trick Candle is a fire/fire brute

    References here

Dierdre grew up believing that Heroes were Wrong and Villains were Right. Her parents raised her in the ruins of the Nerva Archipelago and in a very strict upbringing and severe punishments if she used her budding powers around them. It's no surprise that Dierdre ran away at 16 to "exercise" her ability to use fire. She rebelled and became quite mischevious and uses her powers at whim. She loves to play with fire, and meddling with those heroes is the perfect use of her powers. Under the identity of Trick Candle, Dierdre could do this and more without anyone knowing about her past.

Until she started to tango with Crey Industries. At first they seemed like they were a good, wholesome corporation, with values she believed in and could associate with. Then, slowly, as she secretly moved up the ranks of Crey, she saw beyond the public image and decided that it was time to take matters into her own hands to make her vision of what Crey Industries should be a reality.
  18. Oof. This is a hard choice to pick just one, there's sooo many good pieces here.

I love Frost's idea and execution, I love CR's monkey torch, I love Clutch's skating Freaks, I love.... *pulls hair out*

    *calms down* Whew.

Lousy_Day's is gorgeous, it's beautiful and tells a story with emotion. And the poses of the skater are genuine and realistic and very believable. I'm also a huuuge sucker for figure skating.

PyroNympho's piece is something I'd expect to see as an Olympic logo, it's clean and concise, and pops with what its trying to convey. I love how simple this one is, and every time I look at these, this is one of the very few that I keep coming back to.

If I could vote for two, I'd pick both of these pieces in a heartbeat. Sadly, I can only pick one, and my vote goes to Lousy_Day.
  19. You're going to hate me when I say that in order to make him a bit more recognizable, I'd expect to see the crazy hair to say "Is that Manticore?"
  20. I think I stopped around level 10. The first team had all but left (and was a stopping point to get chores done), so I don't know if anything happened after that point. It didn't look like anything was still going on when I came back. I may or may not be high enough by Sunday for this.
  21. *grabs a bag of popcorn* Moar plz!

Everyone that has chimed in on the thread knows that I'm very easy going and I hope that will be an asset to this endeavor. The powers listed are just "recommendations". Accelerate Metabolism is mandatory; If you want to delay AM till level 6 that is fine. After that, other powers will synergize well, although having 8 people with Radiation Infection could be overkill. Hasten will make a significant difference in using AM, especially while super-teamed.

Stamina is completely optional. If you want to take it, take it.
I may not have been explicit, but I had hoped there would be room in the builds for some individuality. I haven't worked on a build yet so I'm not sure how much room there actually is for taking a pick or two from another power pool.

To make things easier I am going to provide a "scholarship fund" to everyone that reaches 22nd level. It will be more than adequate to pay for a 2nd build if anyone wants to go that route.

We are still looking for a team uniform. If the costume is open to variations, that would be great too. Since we are going to be in different supergroups an thematic costume would be nice.

As to the "midlevel crisis" recipe rolls, I tend to save merits until 30th-33rd level before I actually roll. That is just my preference. I'd like to hear from others on advice on rolling merits. It hasn't been discussed but we can also take some of the teaming into AE for ticket rolls there also.
I'll putter about in the costume creator later on and see if I can come up with some ideas for uniform ideas. Does color matter, or do we want to stick to a black/green based color scheme?
  23. Adding more of my inf on the subject: Mondays are good for me, I am on the West Coast so anything before 5:30 PST is bad. Sunday afternoons are also good, Wednesdays and Saturdays are very bad for me.
  24. I like this idea and would definitely be interested, I'm game with either side - both my existing rads are at 50, so I'd definitely be rolling a new toon for this.

As to SGs - I'd prefer using my existing SGs for my toons - they're both small and every bit of prestige helps. Perhaps using a global channel for this would work better.

When Badge was running Corruptor Days, there was a set day and time to run - this worked well, I think this is a good idea to consider.
