but considering that there's alot of high level players hanging around now.. it's not they'll be fighting them by themselves.
-
Ok this has been swimming in my head for a long time now, I know we got the Zombie Apocolypse event and the Rikti Raid Event. But AP or GC don't have any Giant Monster Events.. and when we do it's only during Holloween and winter, but I would like to see both Galaxy City and AP with a GM event of their own thats' more pernament..
I was thinking more of a Monster Dragon or Rock Creature, something that would make daily life in AP and GC more fun. I mean people are ususally standing around doing nothing or stuff, but I would like to see their faces when a big ol'dragon or rock creature or something like that comes out of no where. I know it's a crazy idea but please add something interesting for the bums that stands around Atlas Park or GC. -
does anyone remember Martrix Online or has played it.. I know they have a type of fighting style involving pistols and other types of guns, don't ask me what that fighting style is but I think they can utilize something like that as a pistol scrapper.

-Move DJ Zero around and change his costume one in a while.

Reminds me a little too much of spending a heap of time to find similar NPCs back in WoW (All those wasted hours searching for Rexxar...) but in a small zone like the D that'd probably be ok. Plus if the contact marker could be made to point to his current location rather than the default then that'd solve that problem entirely. Dunno how hard that'd be though.
Alternately you could combine this with one of your other suggestions and have him actually be a DJ rather than just floating there looking stupid all day.

If that was the case than add missions for the areas he's at.. like say if he's in the tiki room, have a mission dealing with the BP's, or if he's in the monkey lounge have a mission dealing with the Family,... or if he's on the dance floor have the missions dealing with the villains or patrons thats on the dance floor. -

This suggestion is an update really.. it's something I'm sure everyone wants.
Basically I'm suggesting to have the SG / VG emblems to be updated. I'm really tired of the same old emblems, I think it's about time that they are updated to have newer emblems added to the list for SG's & VG's. -
the idea are Savage Lands.. not the name.
I just a island of Savage creatures like lizard men and etc. -
Ok here's my idea.
After fighting Cimeroran's and CoT's and DE's I have came up with the idea of a Savage Land.
This Savage Land can be both a hero and villain zone. It doesn't have to be co-op but it can be like Ouro. Where you go to this land to fight creatures like dinasours and sabertooth tigers and savage men and women. Where you can unlock new costume pieces and temp powers that turns into perminate powers.
And than have a GM there. Like T-Rex or something looking like King Kong.
I think it would broaden the map more... yeah I know we got Eden and the Hive and Nerva. But I would like a zone where you beat up on a T-Rex and stuff like that -

In CoV yes. Villains are just heroes with bad guys for contacts.
That's a problem with the system. Personally? I'd rather have the 'contacts' of CoV be blackboards, stacks of papers, and such rather than people sending you on missions. Going out and accomplishing your own dastardly plots!
But that's not gonna happen. The point is: Making Villains more powerful than heroes doesn't make them more villainous. It makes them stronger.

thus brings the old quote or saying.

what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

do you know it is fact that Super Villains are in fact super heroes in their own rights..
To a Villain what they're doing [example: CoV] we are out there defeating and kidnapping people, and stomping on thugs and also fighting the Arachno threat, even fighting the Rikti invasion and the all new Zombie Apocolypise. To a Villain they are heroes, what makes them villains is that along the way of fighting these mobs or missions or whatever. They're using what they gaine to their advantage to gaine that power. -
Still, your messing with the time stream.. something some how will ultimately change along the path of going back in time to stop or prevent something from happening. But than like it was said, we would end up in a loop hole [example: Bishop from X-Men] where when you return to the future, you'll end up finding out on that thing that was meant to be in the future ends up being stopped.. [example: preventing Statesman - Lord Recluse from discovering the well of the furies] that in turn would prevent heroes from becomming heroes.. which ultimately means that there wont be any heroes around to stop the invasion. Which means like Bishop you'll be the only hero in the future end up beating your head on a wall when you see both humans and rikti hand in hand.. not a good thing.
So the paradox with a time stream like that should never be touched. -
the only thing I can think of with this is known as the time stream effect..
As we all know Enstine once made with in theory that what we do in the past may effect the future, that means that whatever we heroes or villains do in the 1940's - 1950's may affect the change of history.
And of course you know what that means.. it'll open up a can of worms to a whole new reality.
like for example:
the pervention of the Rikti invasion.
pervention to the death of Hero 1.
Stopping the Arachno threat before it get's out of hand.
and this effect would have a tramatic effect on both Paragon City and the Rogue Isle's -

I'm not sure if my opinion means anything but.. Staff power?! you mean like mages and wizards type staff powers? or staff power set like Martial Arts or Javalin kind of staff power?! it's not that I don't understand the meaning of having staff power considering we who has vet's got the Nemesis Staff or Staff of Warding, but a good understanding would be surfice..
Out side of that if it goes great with the AT's than I'm all for it.

The melee set would be martial arts based, yes. The ranged set would depend on many things really. As already discussed in this thread, the ideas for the ranged set are pretty limited and spread out. It could perhaps shape into a solid magic or tech staff, similar to the Nemesis or Black Wand staves. Or it could just become something unique on its own, without being based around something already in-game.
I'm really interested in a melee staff set, and I can imagine all kinds of different options for the potential look of it (staves, spears, pikes, polearms, etc.). As for the ranged set, I initially had magic users in mind, but as of this moment I'm kind of 'meh' about the whole thing.
Definitely still wanting a staff melee set, though.

So like Robin from Teen Titans? or Gambit from X-Men? cause if thats' so might wanna throw up a sample power set for that so we don't step on any trademarking or copyright fringment. -
well the thing is that.. we make our character and than lvl it all the way up to 50 and than suddenly we get new unlockables and I think Mastery power sets.. but along the way we end up forgetting our main character because we end up making alts so we can try that certain kind of AT but than we go through the same cycle..
What I'm suggesting is that you work your main up to lvl 50 than do a mission arch that has you collect special salvages where you are taken to a special invention table to put them together and you use what is give to you to go and beat that AV or EB or GM to allow you to gain a subclass..
Than you as a Blaster or Controller even a squishy Defender can gain the classes of say a tank or scrapper. And than along the system you get debumped back down to lvl 2 on your main and you lvl your character up normally, collection and learning new skills and etc. I thought of this because I wanna focus on my main characters and not make alts and forget all about them. I thought that if we can get a subclass system going that, we can still play our main characters and still be able to try out new classes. And have them respected, if you don't like that class you can use a respec to wipe it down and pick one that you like.
I'm not saying that this will be a successful thing, I'm just saying that if people would like more content and etc than why not try this? -
Ok this idea is comming from someone who use to play on Lineage 2, matter of fact I still mingle there once and awhile.
Any who, they got a system where once your character reaches lvl 76 you can subclass your character to another class like say for
example: <Dark Avenger>-<Tank Class> subclass to <Hawkeye>-<Archer>
you can do this at threat lvl 76 and you get bumped down to lvl 40 to play that new class all over again than you can lvl that character and play it all the way up to lvl 76 where you can subclass it for the third time [your only allowed two subclasses]
so I figured why not CoX.. but different, like say for example
[invu/SS - Tanker] - subclass - [ Will/SS - Tanker]
or
[Fire/Fire - Blaster] - Subclass - [Energy/Energy - Blaster]
Have the Subclass system work for characters of the same attributes like say if your a blaster you can only subclass to a different set of powers [mind you the system will keep you at the same AT via blaster]
Now I also came up with a way to earn that subclass.. I thought that a series of missions will happen to unlock that subclass Like on Lineage 2. And like on Lineage 2 you have to collect certain salvages to make the item to allow you to gain that subclass..
I'm not sure if this is a good idea so I would like to hear from you guys. -
