Quote:I agree with Caemgen here. Sounds like a lot of fun! Can't wait!I see nothing in that rule that mentions alive or dead... Answering the phone is just for style points.
I'd say if they made it onto the concrete slab they made it onto the slab. Corpse flinging for the win!

Wow Pyro, great job man! This sounds like a really fun time all around, I can't wait! I even love the event names! Well conceived!
Thank you Christopher Robin, Eddy Swan and Oathbound for their time and generous donations to the cause! -
Just saw this - Powerstream - nuture the talent! He is quite good for 11!
Wonderful job on that LJ - both versions! I can imagine how his eyes lit up when he saw that! Two big thumbs up! -
Wow - Great stuff Pyro!! Again, you do amazing work!
Nothing negative here at all, just a few ideas/suggestions...
I agree with Caemgen, the bars are flat, I would also give them depth like you have for the outter ring. Also, assuming you want the pentagram look like its laying down, you want to have the bars of the pentagram tapper back to a horizon line. As is, all lines are parallel to each other.
The spheres look great, as does the shading, but they are very matte. Maybe consider a metallic look like you did on Caemgen's new signature.
Something I'm seeing in my head as I type this is, make the center of the pentagram, (under the bars), glowing red or any other color. Then have the ambient red glow from the pentagram reflect off the metallic spheres, like the Audi logo on the TV commercials. It should create a really nice effect.
You could also have the letters on the spheres appear as cut outs or windows. Then create a glowing effect inside the spheres to illuminate the letters. Kinda like a carved pumpkin.
Lastly, the star field in the background looks a bit flat because all the stars appear to be the same size and brightness. I would cheat a little here and grab a photo of the cosmos and drop it back there. You can tweek it with contrast settings and add anything you need to it.
Either way - it looks awesome!
Oh and - I love the Natrix progression animation too! Love it! -
Fantastic job CR! Can't wait to see it finished. She "will" keep it forever!

Quote:The embossed buttons are fantastic looking too! Thanks to all who are loving on the new sig... Truth be told, my contribution was the words "celtic knots" and beyond that it's all Pyro. To go from the very, very rough sketch I had of a simple knot just to show what one was in case he didn't know and end up with this is quite amazing...

Pyro - that it a fantastic new sig you made for Caemgen!! Enjoy it Caemgen! The woman stick figure made me almost snort my soda over my keys! Niiiice!
Foo - I dig the bouncies! Very nicely done! -
I'm definitely in and would be honored to be included with this fine crowd!
I can make time any night after 8:30 pm EST - however - My wife and I are scheduled to bring a new baby into our world on 10/13. So I'll be out of commission until 10/16 where I can probably get on that evening. So I have a 3-1/2 day window of not being available.
I also would be happy to volunteer to make a team screenshot poster of the event. I do this all the time for my SG events. -
mmm - A level 1 race through the Hollows?

Quote:You are so right CR! Good memory ya got there! I hope you voted for meNow I remeber where I know this hero from... you placed in the top 5 (if I remember right) in that big costume contest the forumites

Here's one of my villains for your consideration - Voodoo Gypsy.
Currently a Dark Blast/Radiation Emission Corruptor - I'm thinking about re-rolling her as a demon summoner for Going Rogue. If you want to use it, I'll gather a few more detailed screens.
Kheldarn - Cherry Bloom looks awesome! Nice job! -
Thanks for the generous offer mousedroid, but I wasn't interested in the prizes even if I won. I just like making costumes and helping someone else achieve a look they like is always a great feeling!

Quote:1 - I've been in game since beta and have never left, so I have the 63 month badge and counting. In the beginning I started my main character identity "Starwind" - Grav/Rad controller. I've always had a major case of alt-itis from the very beginning, so it took me 3-1/2 years to get Starwind to my first 50. I've created over 150 characters on every server but my SG and server I play on is Pinnacle. I have 36 slots on Pinnacle now and I'm up to 10 level 50s - (1 Tank; 2 Trollers; 2 Scrappers; 2 Blasters & 3 Defenders). This for the uber vets! I class these as players who have like a 48 month badge and higher!
for these uber vets, i have 3 question! what toons have you been playing for all this time? have you played one from when you started till now? whats your favourite build?
2. - Yes, all my level 50's are still active. I play any of my characters on Pinnacle whenver needed for SG events and such to this day. I stick to Pinnacle. My average level toon on any other server is around 12. I kind of view the other servers as costume closets
3. - I don't have one single favorite build in particular, although I do prefer support toons like Defenders or Controllers over Tanks or Scrappers. I gotta say though, I recently leveled my MA/Shield scrapper to 50 and I absolutely loved it! Shield Charge ftw!
I do play villains, my highest is a level 34 Stalker with a MM close behind at 30. I also have a Peacebringer up to 33 curretnly. The appealing aspect to CoX for me is the ability to create and play such diversified characters. -
Nice sketch IB! Looking forward to seeing how you finish it.
Oh yeah - what CB said on naming the link! -
Your description reminded me of a costume idea I was helping someone else with last year. Lucky I'm a pack rat. I'm not sure how much of this idea was utilzed previously but maybe it will spark something for you. I hope it helps!

My band Slik Jinx, was a Guns n' Roses/Ratt/Poison hybrid of sorts. Ahh the mammaries...uhh memories
Quote:There you go. Take your que from ImagesByAlex: Make your dA name StarwindGraphics.
So, yeah, just take it slow. Go at your own pace. Learn by looking at source code for other websites. And don't hesitate to ask me for help! I'll be more than happy to tell you, "I have NO idea how to do that!" -
Welcome to the creative abyuss DvandomZ! Nice stuff and unique style! Keep it coming!
-
Impressive work Vypress! I really dig that Arren Starkweather piece! Well done.
I've dabbled a bit with Poser but not too deep! Ahh - so much to learn, so little time. -
What a great idea Pyro! I'm in!
I've had Starwind/50 copied over for a long time and my highest level toon red side is only 34. I may delete and re-copy Starwind over
I love making new toons so that is always an option for me at any time! -
Looking real good so far Deebs! Can't wait to see more of this WIP!
