    Avengers Teaser

YouTube version, assuming that's the right one.

    That was epic.
  2. I too feel that the months of hard work and thousands upon thousands of dollars spent developing this new sub-forum was unnecessary. The staggering man-hours required to build this new 'Build Workshop' more than likely is beyond imagining and left the development and community relations teams both near death.

    For shame!
  3. And they all count as undead for my Ghost Slaying Axe, which makes me happy..
  4. I have a Necro/Poison that I quite like, though I haven't played her much since the latest buffs. Given that each of the pets can self-heal, a set that gives +def would likely work well. Dark or FF would likely do the trick.

Thanksgiving is on Monday. Yes, it's a well kept secret that Canada is actually in charge of America's corporate retail strategies.

Which is why we celebrate it in October here in Canada, because there isn't a damn thing to be thankful for in a Canadian November, other than it isn't January.
  6. I've always wanted to try a red-side static team, but I'm only really open on Wednesday nights which sucks.

Also, we already have a Tanker, a Brute, a Scrapper (me!), and a Stalker, so you may want to try something else. Not saying you couldn't bring another melee-type, but the overlap factor is high. I think we also have a Dominator and two Corruptors.

Then again we're not exactly a group of elite min/maxing power gamers playing a super hard game, so bring whatever you want and we'll have fun wrecking the place no matter what.

    Dual Archery and Quad Pistols!
  9. Not really going to affect me as I buy all my comics/tpb's at a local shop, and I don't even know if we have B&N up here. Still, pretty lame.
  10. Any. Inv, Stone, and WP are probably going to be at the top on just SO's. Elec, SR, Dark, Ice, and Shields after that. Fire would bring up the rear, but still be more than capable if played well.

Electric, Ice, and Dark probably bring the most variety/utility to bear, and all 3 would bring some extra AoE damage.

SR is the fast horse out of the gate for tanker primaries. Willpower isn't bad either with plenty of end recovery coming early with QR.

Inv/ WP/ Elec/ SR/ in that order for my recommendations, but if you're soloing, go with Elec/ or Fire/. You're not likely going to need the extra survivability solo.

Only if you're forced to listen to the Bubble Bobble music over and over while playing with it.
  12. Zero for Hire (StJ/Inv Brute)

    Striking Beauty (StJ/SR Scrapper)

    Moxie Girl (StJ/WP Scrapper)

...and if I decide to take a second try at a Shield/ tanker, the Eastgate Enforcer

  13. I'll likely be on tonight if anyone wants to catch up, and rp a bit. I'll just run with XP off if that's the case. Send me a tell (@Starflier) if you're interested.
  14. We did Twinshot's first arc and made it to level 10. Ready to start the first mission of her second arc next week.

  16. StJ/SR scrapper - Striking Beauty
    StJ/WP scrapper - Moxie Girl
StJ/Inv brute - Zero for Hire

Too early to tell, but I'm liking it better for brutes out of the gate. I'll see if that changes later on though.
  17. Street Justice combos function pretty much the same as Fury: bunch of little attacks followed by a big attack.

    solo tanker help

Solo, any primary should do the trick to be honest. A Fire/Stone or Fire/Dark is not only going to get the great AoE damage from the primary, but a ton of mitigation and ST damage from the secondary.

Inv is probably the best on SO's for survivability, although the others will be good as well.

MA (Storm Kick) provides a constant 10% def boost, so that might be of consideration if you decide to go Inv/ or WP/ (SR/ doesn't really need the extra def since it can already soft-cap on SO's.

KM I prefer on Scrappers/Stalkers because of the special mechanics it utilizes with critical strikes.

    SS is... SS.

/Dark is excellent for ST damage and survivability.

Another option, is Dual Blades, which I really like. Good ST and AoE damage and mitigation, but not everyone likes it.

Inv/DM is pretty much my best suggestion for survivability + damage. Even on just SO's, the -tohit from attacks and the fast heal from Siphon Life make it stupidly durable.

  20. I'll be there. Just rerolled Moxie Girl with Street Justice and got her back to where she was level-wise (8).

I'm in the same boat, but I need it now. My new static team character is meant to be StJ, and since she's only lvl 8, I'd rather reroll and catch up now. Guess I'll be buying some points. Thankfully I just paid off the credit card, so I can actually 'afford' some.

    Also, SPINNING BACKFIST!
  22. Unused potential: Dark Astoria and Boomtown.

Dark Astoria is both awesome and creepy, but also pretty much ignored outside of the occasional mission. They could make some really great zone events and mission arcs with the Faultline treatment.

I love Boomtown's post-apocalyptic atmosphere and music. I really wish they'd included some unique groups, particularly some survivor 'types' perhaps trying to set up their own community in an area abandoned for an entire decade. Apparently they're doing work on it, but it's been so long. Once again, the Faultline treatment would be great here.

Both zones have a unique feel to them, as well as GM's, but unfortunately exist in level ranges that already possess a ton of content, so it's not likely high on the list.
  23. I actually really like my EM/EA brute, although I'm not going to try to sell anyone on its uberosity, as I tend to lean more to concept than min-max. KM might have gotten a similar fit for concept, but the animations would have been ridiculous for the character himself.

Stone and Dark would both fit well in my opinion.

I wish it took knockback sets. Kinetic Crash x 6 and enjoy the spectacle of levelling the battlefield (and the awesome bonuses that set gives).
