Yes, it does - VEATs pick up their second costume slot earlier than usual too (at level 10 IIRC), in one of their AT-specific arcs.

In before the midnight!
Happy birthday Gangrel! -

To be honest, the view should be moot from the get go.
It called an MMO[bold]RPG[/bold] for a reason, isn't it?
[/ QUOTE ]
The reason being wishful thinking by the roleplayers, it seems - according to NCSoft it's just a "massively multiplayer online game". -
'fraid so - the infrastructure involved. Wireless involves an extra local (within your house!) stage, and 56k means you're stuck with a slow link out to the exchange. Once at the exchange, though, both systems are using the same infrastructure as your hypothetical ADSL connection to exchange data with the rest of the internet.
Mobile broadband, though, is routing signals through a different physical system entirely, and there's no guarantee that the data side of this is even meant to give low latencies. This might improve with time, as different networks try to offer USPs, and might be OK in some locations already, but for the moment...potluck!
Edit: Clarified meaning. -
Ah - in that case I'd just give it a go, checking the numbers on the connection dialog every 5-10 minutes to make sure the traffic isn't alarmingly large.
If it isn't, and the latency turns out to be tolerable, you're sorted. -

I strongly disagree. If a hero isn't a "trainee" before lvl 20, why are things like travel powers not available until lvl 14? (And let's face it, flight is just as much as an entrenched part of superhero lore as the cape is) Why do they start off with 1 attack power? Even the start off enhancements are called "Training Origin".
[/ QUOTE ]
Right, so Zortel, my energy blaster, puts exploding ammunition rounds in her suit that doesn't fire bullets for more damage? Azure Arrow learns how do to fancy martial arts dragon strikes to make his arrows do more damage? My Psychic psychology student uses magical items and genetic alteration to become more adept at his powers?
I may be a roleplayer, but I don't let the game mechanic driven system dictate my characters.
[/ QUOTE ]
Forgive me if I'm being thick, but whilst I understand the point your're making, I don't understand the relevance to the quote.
[/ QUOTE ]
I suspect it's related to the names/descriptions specific SOs have (often wildly inappropriate, given the power/origin they're enhancing), in the context of the name "Training Origin" itself having been put forward as significant.
This is probably a good time to mention the SO name "Back Alley Paralysing Strike" again, for cheap laughs. -
I've got mobile broadband with 3, and that includes a little traffic monitor as part of the "connect now" system; there's nothing like that with your setup, presumably?
Never tried it, but from what I've heard there can be (or maybe "will almost certainly be") huge latency problems with mobile broadband, making it all but unusable for MMOGs in the first place. That said, can't hurt to try! -
No - the "12 slots" bit is directed at brand new players, who'll be given 12 slots more than the zero slots they start with.
If you already have a game account, no extra slots are added. -

Am I going mad or have they in the past finished at Midnight on the sunday.

TBH I don't see those two things as being mutually exclusive. -
Heehee - yw! Anyway it's not like the twist at the end of The Sixth Sense, where it turns out that Bruce Willis is actually...
...playing that same character as he was in Die Hard. -

Love it when spoilers come up.

I agree, you'd have thought they would have figured out by now[...snippy...]

It's even more lovable when the entire spoiler gets quoted, so the OP can't edit it out of the thread on his own. -

I wouldn't count on being able to create factions... Unique bosses sure, but a complete faction would be WAY beyond the scope of such a tool...

Although to be honest I'm surprised it's taken them this long to implement a "half baked copy/paste trick out of the library".
Damn slacker devs.
[/ QUOTE ]i did see somewhere it was meant to custiom boss that took the time
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry if I didn't make it clear; I was being a little sarcy about sorudo's casual dismissal of all of the dev's efforts so far as being a "half baked copy/paste trick". -

are people honest with themselves?...

You can't use a bind to switch on two toggle powers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Slightly untrue. You can use one bind to switch on as many toggles as you like. Just gotta keep pushing the button for each toggle.
I have one bind to turn on all my toggles on my chars, usually bind it to mouse button5. So i just keep pushing button5 to toggle up
[/ QUOTE ]
My bad - you've correctly pointed out what I meant, which was sadly different from what I actually said. -
And you!
What can I say? Some bad pennies keep on coming back, some of us never leave in the first place. -
[ QUOTE ]
Admittedly I haven't read the entire thread here but I'm shocked at the attitude and non-welcoming tone to this thread even in the first pages. People that have replied have done so without even trying to consider the OP's point of view and talking down to the OP like they don't have a clue what they're saying and don't deserve to speak to you.
[/ QUOTE ]
/em shrug
I tend to reply to people in kind. If a relatively new player makes a post calling people rude and arrogant because they're spoiling his fun by not handling blinds in the exact way he wants them to, I'm not hugely sympathetic.
Please note that in his first post the OP dosn't seem to be saying that people sent him rude and arrogant posts after blinds. Just that he finds it rude and arrogant that people want tells in the first place. -
You can't use a bind to switch on two toggle powers.
Your fly/hover one's OK, because as you say the two are exclusive to each other. If hover's already active when you press the key it turns hover off, then fly on as part of the same press. If fly's already active it turns hover on, which automatically turns fly off, then ignores the command to turn fly on as it's already hit the "one power on" limit with hover.
If you do something along the lines of:
/bind z "powexec_toggleon Super Speed$$ powexec_toggleon Sprint"
you'll get as close as possible to what you want, although you may need to press the key twice to finish the job. -

How about a group that specialise in hunting down the super powered and taking a trophy from them, a mask, a bit of the cossie etc.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have this vision of a toon rezzing in the hospital with the trousers removed across all costume slots.
Cue embarrassed shuffle over to Icon for a quick cover up...
Edit: And, ideally, the trophy trews flying from the City Hall flagpole with appropriate "Stolen from..." text in the info box. Just to make the humiliation complete. -

Old MoG; Can still be seen in use by Regen NPCs such as Crey Paragon Protectors, Valkyrie and some of the Praetorians. Possibly others. The user is set to low health, no matter how high they start out, and gain a glorious ammount of defence, resistance and, iirc, regen. It was the Tier 9 of the Regen set, leveled with all the other 'Ultimates'.
New MoG; A 15 second regen boost.
...No, really, that is. A 15 second burst of rapid regen on a HUGE timer...
I know I'm not the only one that thinks this is daft. There should be, IMO, one of two things happen.
[/ QUOTE ]
As others have said, the old MoG gave no regen at all and actually made you unhealable for the duration.
The new MoG is nothing like what you said, and gives a big +DEF and +RES boost with no change to regeneration at all.
As you were significantly wrong about what it did before, and wholly wrong about what it does now, you might want to re-evaluate the "the new one's rubbish, change it back" thing... -
[ QUOTE ]
That comes under the power customization idea - which has been discussed a lot - the offical word is that it'd take a lot of work - but it's not been totally ruled out
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really; power customisation is being able to choose different power colours for every toon. The OP's asking for a one-off change affecting the power set as a whole, which is a different kettle of fish altogether - as others have said, this has been done before for villain-side versions of power sets.
