  1. dominators need damage modifiers increasing IMO, you can get around the low HPs of a dominator if you really try, my lvl 43 ice/ice dom has 1300HPs, to put that into context a lvl 50 brute has 1500 base.

    Other than the damage modifiers being raised i think domination should have a +tohit buff in it to counter all the +tohit heroes get.
  2. an ice/cold is a killer build that can harrang just about everything while the scrapper can be easily countered.

    Regen is nice obvious mitigation but with no defence every single incoming debuff will land and cripple you. People cry that regen is overpowered and needs nerfing but thats just not the case, its easily counterable by so much its not even funny. Thats not to say its weak, far from it, its just not the uber toon people think it is.

    /cold isnt endurance intensive anymore, just slot the right IOs

    An ice/cold should destroy a bs/regen really and IMO is a better toon but the regen will be easier to get into and have more inbuilt survivability

    Recharge debuffs

    while dominators may not be direct debuffers their secondary effects coupled with powerboost are nuts. I dont think much can nuke recharge better than grav/ice or ice/ice doms

  5. aoe immob is a bad idea with ice, slick is your signature power and you will have mobs flopping all over the place perma when properly slotted, the aoe immob in the ice set will prevent the knockdown of ice slick and the mobs will all turn and shoot you.

  8. Spent yesterday testing this and when you are in a PvP zone your stealth IO is suppressed when you enter the zone in the same way it does when you are attacking.

    Theres a report or two on the US of GMs acknowledging this as an issue and a patch is on the way but nothing official, its entirely possible the problems with the debt coding and stealth have messed them up in the PVP zones with the proportional debt system.

    Regardless of the cause they are not functioning in the PvP zones, I havent tested in arena. So in the current build on live they are a pve only IO.

    The reason why acro has such insane kb protection is because it is relative to the endurance cost, considering it gives only mag 1 (I think) hold protection so it is very, very easily detoggled by anyone with a hold that can stack or any type of mez which doesn't have to.

    You get immunity to knockback but it comes at a price, and it is not as well rounded as proper mez protections like /regen's Integration for example. If any of my toons with Acro got KBed then it isn't really worth the end cost for what you get, especially with the introduction of KB Rez IOs.

    actually the end cost of acro isnt as bad as you think, its the same as running a standard sheild toggle. Acro just "ticks" half as often as normal sheilds so the builders show it as being double end cost to reality.

    acro is -100 knockback (and up) protection it has no resistence componant, other mez protections have -10 protection but 10000% resistience.

    You cannot knock someone back through acro in pvp, not even if you slot for knockback (which increases the KB mag) use powerboost and vanguard, the only way past it is to detoggle it.

    Don't ever go up against a triform PB; seriously. You think aid self is annoying? How about shields, 3 heals, a self rez, built in stamina in Nova form; tank form, rather high knockdowm AND fairly good damage?

    And to top it all, if things get hairy we also have Light Form (Unstoppable to you tankers).

    Not that I'm saying they're PvP gods, they're not. But played right they can be a REALLY irritating opponent.

    IOs make a fractional difference over SOs with setting 3 of the same type due to reaching the cap so easy.

    so you are not clearly superior and are actually losing, adapt and rebuild your character, essentially perma enurance is easily available.

    either that or just ask your opponant to stand there while you beat up on them....

    Tried playing claws stalkers lately? Also, dont go underestimating MMs anymore.. Ive taken the dive against several in arena duels lately, including one traps who said it was her first arena match..

    Erm I know MMs quite well and god modes screw up traps and poison at 50 due to the fact that you will not be able to damage them significantly during this time even when they are in the vomiting animation. /dark would do just fine against inv as you can keep your pets going otherwise rapid fire footstomping will turn the pets to mush. My BS/SR hasnt lost against a MM in a 1 v 1 in RV simply because I pop elude and kill the pets via bodyguard, nothing clever, nothing skillful, just damages them far more than I get damaged.

    Its not a case of underestimating, its a case of knowing their weaknesses, MMs generally are gods in the zones, right up untill a blaster with TP foe comes in and continues to 2 shot them before they can do anything relegating them to uselessness. They are also a hugely undynamic entity and very easy to avoid. These drawbacks are intentional (now) to create holes in the AT.

    And claws stalkers do need rebalancing, hero side they have access to a perma and even double build up, if they didnt need it they wouldnt have it.

    Its pretty late here and my less than diplomatic demenour has degraded to rudeness Im sure so I apologise for that but for heavens sake, EM/regen and a FF MM is your basis for "villains are not underpowered" I mean really, you couldnt have less credibility if you tried.....

    And for your information a INV/SS will chew your MM up all day long laughing while they do it.

    And of course stalker v scrapper will probably be 0-0 seeing as all you are going to do is try to AS and run. And heres some more news, most may not be able to see stalkers but you can hear them and feel them, my fire/dev/cold does more than adequately (runs 2 tier stealth) against stalkers.

    Fine, Knight Stalker and Gutts couldnt take down my scrapper on their stalkers in an insanely long FFA and I rate them both very highly, It took them a very long time to put me down when they teamed up to take me out, then it was a case of catching me when i was desperate to go the toilet. (Stryka, BS/SR/Body) We can run around for several hours while you run off healing hoping that headsplitter doesnt crit. Im assuming from your swagger you must be running an oh so rare em/regen

    Wow way to explore villains.....Look at your own point for gods sake, stalkers are at stealth cap, the stealth IOs were thrown in to allow stalkers to redress the perception wars and get back to the shadows (my own opinion) why do you think the devs allowed such a thing to occur? They have it because they NEED it and if they NEED it then clearly the AT isnt all that.

    oh and as for "as soon as they become visible" you become visible when you attack...... or let me guess, you float around in tier 3 stealth waiting for someone to reply to a tell before you will even consider attacking, wow thems l33t sk1lZ u g0t.

    and besides, villains isnt just stalkers and MMs.....

    when you illustrate an understanding of how villains work and dont just go for easy street, let me guess, you play a EM/Regen stalker?

    tell you what seeing as you dont see villains being weaker, pop a challange in the forums, your villain in arena v their heroes, Im certain plenty of pvp heroes will be happy to oblige.

    Stalkers are not remotely a problem for anyone with half a brain, as soon as they are visable a decent player will put them down in 2 hits, scrappers can outdamage AS with their inherant. MMs are useless the minute someone with TP foe or confuse comes along.

    Claiming that villains are not underpowered at lvl 50 pvp shows a lack of understanding of villains functionality, modifiers and the fact that they dont work as intended, this is why villains are getting buff after buff after buff. Come to think of it I cant even thing of a single nerf villains have got outside of beta (nerf not bug) that alone illustrates the point.

    spoken as a man with very little experience on villains, try playing some more and repeat that.

    Villains are underpowered in terms of heroes by a huge margin due to epics

    def and trollers epic res sheilds - 47 % sl res

    Villain squishies - 30%

    heroes get hibernate, force of nature, web grenade, focused accuracy, a once again permanant mez protection for controllers, powerboost on the same timer as a villain secondary, psi sheilds, snowstorm, fireball, fire blast, total focus, thunderstrike, PFF, a massive self heal and HP boost, TK, ice storm, etc etc etc

    ALL top notch powers, go and see the [censored] the villains get, factor in the much lower modifiers that villaisn get (even in primary V primary like controllers V dominators) and then come back with Villains are not underpowered.

    If its a villain is giving you a problem its because they are a good player and can work around the deficiencies they have not because they got a pick up and are uber AT

Oh yes, and when ganked by 3 scrappers in Warburg, Power Surge looks a hell of a lot cooler than your dead body on the ground.

    My em/fire brute doesnt have consume, runs 8 toggles in combat and has infinate endurance, its easily (if expensively) done now with IOs

    the tank has the advantage but not in terms of damage really, v squishies they are going down regardless of brute or tank and v other melee toons the brute only gets more powerful. Anyway back to the advantage, its the improved mez protection that the tanks have that mean the chance of being stunned by one of the many EM toons out there is far less than the brute has.

    Fury has its uses, nothing like pounding away on hibernate when an ice tank thinks they are being clever and 2 shotting them when they come out something no tanks going to be able to do

    and for sirens pvp its stone/fire all the way, mag 4 hold and superfast animation in seizmic and the best brute burst chain untill EM gets ET. No floating in the air for 3.3 seconds for stone
