All it says to me is that you only recently discovered the Internet, since it was already tired and stale before CoH even started.

Sure thing, Scrapyard.
Quote:I also am stuck with the dilemma of being more or less a nice guy, but liking the redside ATs more. I'm sure I'm not the only one in that boat.
Some of them had the bad fortune to be born in the more undesirable parts of the Etoile Islands. Thanks to Arachnos, they escaped their likely fates. One was broke and unemployed in the US, but found redemption serving Arachnos and the great Lord Recluse. A couple are refugees from a tiny island nation that the US government found objectionable and occupied; the Etoile Islands was one of very few nations willing to defy American pressure and allow them entry.
"Villain" is just a word used by Paragon City to smear its enemies. It follows from claiming to be the "City of Heroes" that your enemies must therefore be "villains". -
Disgusting. I hope Captain Mako makes a light snack out of you traitors to the Master of Spiders.

Quote:The chance of getting hit by at least three out of four 6.50% attacks is about 0.1045%, or 1 in 957.Bane Spider Executioner HITS you! Mace Beam Blast power had a 6.50% chance to hit and rolled a 6.27.
Bane Spider Executioner HITS you! Bash power had a 6.82% chance to hit and rolled a 0.92.
Bane Spider Executioner MISSES! Clobber power had a 6.82% chance to hit, but rolled a 43.23.
Bane Spider Scout HITS you! Bash power had a 6.04% chance to hit and rolled a 0.38.
This just happened to my NW, through elude and mindlink. I was running around 100% def to everything. Accursed RNG!! Went from kicking butt to eating pavement in about 1 second. -
What the OP said.
Every MMOG with PvP ought to carry a warning that whatever you like about the game will be changed or eliminated within one to two years. -
Maybe they're all AE n00bs with farmed 50s and VEATs. All of my VEATs have Maneuvers and Tactics from Leadership in addition to the TT powers.

Quote:The character was too easy when I rolled her, so I decided at the beginning not to use them. I've gone this long without them, so I'm going to stick it out. I just think of it as a higher difficulty setting.Imagine if they had a readily available small boost you could use so you didn't have to run. Man it would be a crazy world.
Last week I had a spines/regen scrapper raving at me over broadcast for running away with a sliver of health after he healed all the damage I had done to him. PvP is so unfair to regen scrappers. -

You must be teaming with some lame-*** SoAs, to put it bluntly.
-
In PvE. Super Speed provides no stealth against players.
-
More slots for Smoke Grenade. People won't always be in your toggle range, but a smoke grenade's debuffs help everyone regardless and last for 60 seconds.
Also, you may not know that you can stealth in and grab anything with a trusty smoke grenade. Just make sure it has hit everyone before you click the glowie they're guarding. -
I'd return Foresight's elusivity to a reasonable level. Playing a Widow in RV isn't much fun.
-
While the spidery robots don't take orders, I've found them to be remarkably intelligent for autonomous pets. They usually stick with you, attack what needs to be attacked, and don't aggro things beyond a certain radius (unlike pets in other games).
-
Isn't it about time spines/regen was nerfed before every species is rolling these sets for PvP/NvP/?vP?

I love Bloody Bay. Great backstory and atmosphere. Level 25 is a tough PvP build. It forces you to make some hard choices, which adds to the challenge. It's a huge zone (by CoH/CoV PvP standards) with big island bases, so it's not the same old camp-the-base-on-the-same-street stuff every night.
We used to have some great fights there on Guardian, but Freedumb may be the only server left with a sizable BB crowd. -
Roll a Widow. You'll be squishy, but less squishy against psi.
-
It's a normal thing. Happens to me every so often. Try hunting in Warburg during the week before some big raid and get ready to screenshot the garbage hurled your way -- everything from incoherent blind rage to condescending lectures on your lack of integrity from people with farmed PvP rep badges.

Quote:I personally suggest that the PvP descriptions for the abovementioned powers go something like this:
Snow Storm, while a potent movement and recharge slow power in PvE, is completely useless in PvP.
For a useless power it sure f***s me up good. Would anyone mind if my VEATs could have it? What's one more useless power on a down-and-out AT anyway? -
Not that *******. Different *******.

Quote:No and no. Even if it was against the rules, nothing would be done. (I've reported PvP exploits before in years past and nothing ever happened to the offenders.)Are we able to report this behavior in any way? Is he violating the TOS in some way by doing what he is doing?
As for the rest...well, you already know my opinion since you were on my team. -
Quote:*shrugs* I'm a PvPer, not really a roleplayer. I thought it was cute. The cursing and threats are in the PvP zones. It's actually kinda boring usually. The RP that goes on there is rather, well... dull. It seems like everyone just RPs small talk and flirting and, well, NOTHING. It doesn't go anywhere. Nothing cool DEVELOPS out of it. At least on a team, we have the mission to discuss, so there is some action involved rather than pointless meandering.
When I first started RPing in Pocket D, I figured It'd be villains and heroes swearing oaths, making pithy statements and becoming arch-enemies or something like that. Villains in a dark corner plotting together. Heroes trying to learn their dastardly plans to stop them. Cursing at one another, making threats, heroes trying to convince villains to give themselves up or go straight... you know, genre-appropriate stuff. As it turns out NOBODY does that.
Instead I find:
Which frankly sounds about as interesting as watching paint dry.
No one RPs superhero/villain comic books in Pocket D. They RP Beverly Hills 90210 with superpowers. -
Quote:Are you phase shifted or invisible? Do you hibernate often? Might just be the problem.I've never experienced anything like that in PD, people just tend to ignore my existence really...
I don't know what it is. I don't go there looking for RP. When I alt-tab, my character either reads a newspaper or talks on the cellphone. I guess it could be that my Huntsman looks as NPC-like as I can make him. Off-duty in Pocket D, he looks as shabby and harmless as any other NPC citizen. -
Is Pocket D that bad? Just turn off broadcast to avoid the loudmouths. I've been standing there alt-tabbed before and had strangers come up to me to RP. (ERP too, but a polite "no thanks" and they go away.)
Last time some catgirl stole my Huntsman's Caterpillar cap and wouldn't give it back. I fled before she could steal anything else; I'm out of free tailoring sessions and a new hat is like 1 bazillion infamy or something.
