PvE I'd say:
1) Shield Defense: Can be Def-capped quite easily and a very cool +Dam Aura AND an awesome AoE.
2) Regen: Not that resilient but COMFORTABLE. No End worries, many shiny buttons.
3) ??? No idea. Many will advocate Invuln. Others WP. Some Super Reflexes. While 1 and 2 leave little room for discussion the third place is a lot more difficult to determine.
PvP I got no idea. Probably something Def-based. -
Insofern bleibt einfach mein Punkt:
"Defense is an unfaithful mistress."
Also, Granite-Tanks sometimes have trouble holding aggro (not all, of course) so one or two good AoEs help a lot.
Whirling Hands is at best mediocre for holding aggro.
Foot Stomp (Super Strength)
or
Fault plus Trmor (Stone Melee)
are better choices in this field. -
Ist this Build meant seriously?
Because if it had Group Fly in there anywhere, I wouldn't have wondered.
Or are you going with the "insane 3 year old" concept slotting-wise, too?
There are many, many things vey wrong with this one.
Due to the fact that I don't know if the OP is just "baiting" replys I'll keep it short for the beginning:
1) Stone Armor has more or less useful armors and Granite AKA "the" armor. After Granite most others won't be used at all.
You can get away with just taking: Stone Skin, Earth's Embrace, Mud Pots and Granite
If you want to add Rock and Mineral Armor for tanking psi-only Levels.
2) You haven't slottet Granite for full effect! You haven't got any Res in there.
3) You have used many expensive and - in the chosen spots - rather useless sets. Hecatomb in Stun? Apocalypse in Fossilize? You are looking at the worst half Billion Inf you can spend!
4) You have horribly underslottet your best attacks.
5) The Boni you have chosen, while nice aren't the best you can get. Stone Armor is slow, slow, SLOW! Every bit of Runspeed you get is priceless.
If real feedback is wanted, I'll provide more and a sample Build gladly.
Stone/NRG is an awesome Combination (though might have difficulties at times holding aggro).
If you haven't levelled him too much I could recommen looking into Stone/Stone/Earth, which in my opinion has other great advantages! -
I play a WS as my Main Hero and can't comment on my i13 without knowing about the new recipes.
It's currently a perma-Eclipse Triform-Build which I find just about awesome: Does very respectable AoE and ST damage and does get all spillover aggro from the tank, keeping the team safe.
Due to the fact that I rely on Accuracy mainly from Set-Boni (close to 70% so far) than from Enhancements, I can make use of Procs for quite a bit of additional Damage.
So a new:
- Slow/Knockback Proc that does something like Debuff or Damage
- ToHit/Res/Def/Heal Purple that give some kind of Buff to me
would be greatly appreciated and would affect the Build quite a bit.
If the new Sets don't look good, my Triform WS will remain the same.
With a bit of luck, one of those will have Mag3 or 4 Status Protection in them. Well, probably not, but a man can dream. -
Acutally, the Miring worked fine in our team. If all players like being mired, and understand how double mire works, they tend to be much better at waiting than standard teams.
If I weren't on Zukunft I'd join your Kheld-TF at once! -
Well, while I can recommend against an ALL-Kheldian Team, I can definitely say that they group AWESOMELY together.
I tried to lanch a mostly-Kheld TF once. We ended up doing a Shadow Shard TF (the one with all the Nemesis) with a Tank, an Emp-Defender, a Kineticist and 4 WS + 1 PB.
Now, you might say: Tank + Emp + Kin is a success in itself, but having 4 Warshades with a total of 10 Pets around was a sight to behold.
Enemies were practically GLUED to the ground from all the Slow from the WS and this only during the few seconds they were actually standing. The tank was moving as quickly as he could but more often than no there was a mired and eclipsed Warshade in the thick of the action before him.
Bosses were barely noticeable. Speedbumps if you will.
So: Do put together a Kheld-TF (aim for lv40+ and WS if possible) and have a BLAST!!! -
Also ich mag auch mal meinen Senf dazu geben:
a) Ich finde die CoH Community super!
Weiter so!
So a la:
Both WS and PB aren't really comparable as the are VASTLY different.
Human Form for PBs is significantly more balanced, self-heals, good attacks, Dull Pain and Heal Other. Cool stuff. At 38 you gain a PB version of unstoppable. Human Form tends to have huge Endurance Problems until very late.
Nova Form for PBs underperforms because their self-buff (Build-Up) is weak and only lasts 10 seconds. Also, the 38 shield denies you to go into Nova Form.
Dwarf Form for PB is a great tank with roughly 60% ResAll except Psi. Due to the Foot Stomp, you qill be able to hold aggro decently.
Overall the PB gets good powers early on (up until the 20s) and all the 32+ powers are a bit underperforming - with the exception of Light Form.
Build vary from Human-only to Human-Dwarf or Triform. All three are viable an possible.
The Human Form of the WS is a mixed bag of control and self-buffs. Many powers of the Human form require live or dead foes for buffage (Acc Dam Heal End). This makes the Buffs very variable: Tiny and horrible, if used incorrectly. VERY good when used well. The human form gains one of the arguably best pets in CoH.
The Nova Form of the WS is arguably more useful than the PB version. You get Slow as a secondary effect and all the WS self-buffs carry over for 30 seconds. This goes for the 38 power, too.
The Dwarf Form of the WS is more for self-buffing than for tanking. You get an additional 30 sec self-buff (Acc+Dam) and have a heal that restore more health per sec than the PB version but has a ToHit check. The Black Dwarf has huge problems holding aggro!
Overall the WS is pretty confusing as it wants to be played Triform with constant buffing, switching forms and drawing pets. [Human oder Twoform builds are possible, but definitely not as advisable as for PBs]. You get very, very good powers later (32 and onwards) and a mixed bag before that.
Expect to rely on a friendly Buffer for status protection, as both playstyle and form changing will make you very vulnerable to status attacks. -
Well, if he is stuck at level 2 I could offer some demon hunting with my Warshade and after one Mission he'll be 15+.
-
Well, I won't be on until the weekend, but I'll gladly call in on the offer! Thank you!

Hello there,
I am a player from the German server and I recently started my first villain on Union. This one (Thugs/Poison MM) is really starting to be fun and will probably see level 50.
But my huge problem is that so far I didn't find any Salvage or Recipes of value so it took me almost to level 25 to get my 25 SOs together.
So I already can see that I will be in horrible, horrible money trouble at 27 or 28 at the latest.
This is why I wanted to ask if any wealthy Union villain would be willing to help me out. I don't need much, just enough to buy SOs.
I'll gladly earn some Prestige for a SG, I can gladly offer loads of Inf on Zukunft (Hero Side) in Exchange - but except that, I really can't offer much.
Also, please don't be offended by this thread - I need the cash and I didn't want to do this via tells.
Cheers and thanks in advance
Strife -
I play my Warshade a lot, so in Teams the Empath really changes me from stunned bunny to an evil killing machine - all with clear mind.
I usually tend to explain that before the team starts and excuse myself in advance that I WILL be demanding CM a lot and that I am sorry but that it will be quite crucial.
After this most Empaths take my "CM please!" rather kindly.
But there is the odd one that insists:
I'll give it, when you are mezzed and type zzz.
But if you stay really polite and the Empath can't complain about you asking all the time and you stay really polite, you will be able to win the CM-battle by attrition in 90% of the cases. -
Given an unlimited Budget, I recommend the following Build.
Out of the 28 required purple IOs I am currently scoring 9 plus 1 out of 3 Luck of the Gamblers.
In Short: The Build is AWESOME. With every Nova attack, I gain +Recharge. 3 Pets most of the time is easily possible and Eclipse gets quasi perma.
End of 2008 I'll be there

Personal Account only:
PB plays very well as Human only / Human-Dwarf. Triform is not quite as reasonable as with the WS, but doable nonetheless.
Human plays like a Energy / Invul+Regen Scrapper with a bit of healing (an Leadership, if you wish) for your team. PB will have huge endurance troubles most of their careers.
WS is a Triform favorite. With frequent form switching, you are an excellent team charakter but considerably weaker solo. You will have huge AoE damage, too.
Plus with a warshade as my main character, I just can hint that it is among the characters that profit the most from inventions.
Well, it's pricey, but you can:
- keep out 3 pets at most times
- achieve single target damage aroung 80% of an Ice/xxx Blaster
- have incredible AoE damage
- really tank in emergency situations
- achieve perma eclipse if an empath backs you up
- be the god among pullers
Go Warshades! -
Gratz from Germany, too!
/WP should be AWESOME fun on a brute! -

Wer hilft mir?
Danke -

This is a bit overly generalised, but I've always viewed in terms of differences that the Warshade is a cross between a Controller/Defender, whereas the Peacebringer is more of a Blaster/Scrapper role.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nooooooooo!!! to th Warshade part.
Only if you play human only. If you go Triform you are more of a Blaster with a LOT of added tricks, pets, and godlike resistance after 38.
The only major downside is the lack of mezz resist. But if you constantly bother a poor empath for Clear Mind, Warshades can be incredibly powerful, played by the slightly insane. -
I really GOT to try to replicate what you did with the lake...!
I really like the fact that our control and teleport rooms are similar. I do the base building for a mid sized SG on Zukunft and I am always glad that I am not screwing up too much. [Must be a German notion...]
We have a SG voting on what to build at the moment. I think the lake and the hangar will be HIGH on the list.
By the way...
1) Who built your flyers?
2) Would that special someone maybe be willing to make an Alt on Zukunft and maybe come visit our SG to place, say, a few base items?
Quick question: Can you build the Arachnos Flyer with heroes, too? probably not, right? -
Hey, I just love the echelon base...! Kinda looks like a bigger version of ours. A few quick questions:
1) The Room with the trees is just great...! Did you manage to put a lake in there? What does this room do? Recreation?
2) Our Control room and teleportation rooms almost look identical. I felt VERY much reminded. Same "Expert System over Table". Same Layout of the porters.
3) What is the room in the upper middle? Hangar? We are going to build a mainly decorative room with just jets and flyers - just not there yet.
4) The room to the left is a library right? Now this is a good idea!
Also: Thanks for all the help. With enough people playing we will be able to tear down the PvP Badge in one hour of mindless grinding.
What if everybody stacks up on 20 rezzes? Can't they just keep popping them and someone with EM or BS keeps oneshotting them?
I think if we keep this thread going, we will have cracked the badge within a week. E.g. making it possible to get within a quick hour. -
By the way: When does a PvP kill count towards the badge?
I have no problem of getting my PvE Mastermind into a PvP Zone an to have him knocked out constantly by my SG mates.
Example 1:
I am playing mastermind in BB. SG-mate 1 knocks me out. I respawn and he knocks me out again.
That would probably count as 1 PvP Kill, right? The second one would not count, I assume.
Example 2:
I am playing mastermind in BB. SG-mate 1 knocks me out. I respawn and SG-mate 2 knocks me out again.
That would be 2 kills, right?
Now, the big question (if above assumptions are correct), what is the time window after my villains demise during which I won't count as a kill for a SG mate?
If we do this with 4-5 heroes and 2-3 villains we could manage something along the lines of:
- Heroes set up in an unusal place (e.g. undisturbed) near the villain base.
- A single villain being killed every minute (respawning, running out, being taken out).
- Villain rotates being taken out by heroes so the kill counts every time.
That would equal one kill per villain involved per minute.
While the minimum number of heroes required would be determined by the timer that decides on "counting kills".
This would take:
750 minutes divided by number of villains (lv15 and higher) involved
with
minimum number of heroes as a limiting factor
Right?
Man, I sense an evening of slow grinding coming on...
Well, this kinda feels like an exploit, but do consider that we are a small non-PvP Supergroup that just wants to access all the content.
We have maybe 5-10 core people on a server where PvP rarely happens. In normal PvP time it would take the few ones with valid PvP Characters days (weeks even) to farm this badge... -
Well, we are finally ready to tackle the fusion generator...
We got the base, we are working on the Prestige, so what will we need:
- The 4x4 Energy room as it won't fit into anything smaller.
- 7,5 Mil. Prestige
- 750 PvP Kills in SG Mode
Did I miss anything?
Well, except from that: We are on Zukunft there isn't too much PvP going on (except for rather well protected Farming Parties in RV). We are heroes, so cheap Stalking does not apply
