I'll probably get a slap on the wrist for this but....
I see all of those zeros after the 'estimated retail value' of each costume code & then I head to Ebay to have a look around & realize that those estimates may be a tad low.

The funny thing is, that auction started out as a $200 "buy it now" but because somebody placed an opening bid, it became a normal auction & now is past the $200 price point that somebody could have gotten it for.
And no, I am NOT the seller. I've just been keeping my eye on this one because I'm curious how high it will go. -

So yeah the community for this game is pretty damn awesome. This was my first MMO & I've played at least a dozen others since the CoH beta & the community here trumps them all. I just wish I could say I actually play with them in the game but I rarely do. Ever since all of my in-game buddies left for other pastures 2+ years ago, I pretty much play this game like a single player RPG with the very occasional pugging when the mood strikes.
But you know what? I still love the game & will be here when they shut the lights off. Besides, I am subbed to some great global channels (hello Pinnbadges) so I'm never really alone even when soloing.
Oh & who wants to be a midget or fairy in some fantasy MMO that can barely handle 3 enemies at once when you can be a super-powered badass taking on 20 foes at a time? NOT ME BROTHER!
EDIT: Hey whaddya know, after 6+ years I've finally hit my 100th post!
The ancient texts were wrong though. They foretold that I would use the word "pee" somewhere in my 100th post & it looks like they didn....

My namesake (see bio below) is a Thugs MM & his "little helpers" are named after elves:
Thugs: Snap, Crackle, Pop
Enforcers: Keebler, Legolas
Bruiser: Elfvis (couldn't think of another famous elf name I liked so I went with this)
ColecoVision (named after the 80s game console), my Robots MM has minions named after popular cartridges for the system:
Drones: Donkey Kong, Zaxxon, Venture
Protectors: Cosmic Avenger, Space Fury
Assault: Smurf Rescue (something I like about this HUGE death-dealing machine being named after a relatively harmless little blue critter).

Got into the CoH beta fairly late (about a week before it went live) but that was more than enough to hook me.
CoH was my very first MMO & even though I've played about a dozen others over the years--including World of zzzzzz....*snort* huh? wha? Sorry, drifted off there for a sec--It's the only MMO I'm currently subbed to.
Why? Because no other MMO has made me feel as much of a badass as this one. Right from the get-go, you are "Level: Awesome" and you only get better. Plus you don't have to kill 500 boars to get them to drop 5 tusks to get to level awesome either.
Let's face it, Superheroes > midgets & fairies. Period. -
Took me over 2 years but I finally got around to playing my first VEAT: Arbiter Arbitrary.
All five definitions seemed applicable.

I had to zoom in to get a closer look.
Hmm, definitely a case of diaper dermatitis. I recommend a simple cleansing with water & a soft cloth followed by frequent applications of either patroleum jelly or zinc oxide to provide an effective barrier against skin irritants & lessen friction to irritated skin.
It appears the sufferer is unconscious so you may need to do all of the above yourself, Healix.

Back in Ye Olden Times® I deleted a L42 Merc/Traps MM. His "questionable" original name was genericced & I was never satisfied with the replacement name I chose (I think they gave me 3 days to submit 3 alternate names in order of preference--In my best Tweek voice: "Too much pressure!"), so much so that I decided to just get rid of him.
Then lo & behold a few months later they allowed name changes (which would have given me the time to come up with a name I would have been satisfied with).
