I'm on pins and needles waiting for my stuff to show up in the blog
[/ QUOTE ]
you and me both, man. -
Wow.
The Sayterra piece... you just kicked it up a notch, brah. -
"Gorgeous" doesn't even come close, BillZ.
I'll let you know what word fits best, when I find it. It might be awhile, I don't know that many languages.... but English is totally inadequate to describe what a maestro Graver is. -
not to rain on the parade, SpaceMonkey, but posting prices on the art forums is not exactly kosher. See, NCsoft regards the forum as part and parcel of the game, and while fanart is encouraged, they really don't like the thought of others making money off of their intellectual property (even if it's just a world framework for the players to bring forth their character concepts.)
So, what I'd do is make a journal entry on your DA page, and then just refer to that when people ask about prices.
Oh, and, edit your OP, lest it be moderated out of existence.
Thank you, and you got some great work there! -
whoa.
YUMMY.
The thing that strikes me about Doug's work is, he always manages to get great expressions into the faces. That to me is EXTREMELY tricky to do. -
So I come home from work and I find this in my deviation watch:
Lucretia de Loccia - Fatal Error
This is turning into all sorts of awesome. I've always loved watching Graver's stuff take shape... but when the character comes from your own fevered brain, you've written the backstory, you've RP'd the character several times... and then you see him work his magic on her...
it brings a tear to your eye.
<ul type="square"> [*]Lucretia de Loccia is a robotics/traps MM, currently on Triumph. [/list] -
Ouuuugh!!
YOu're in our prayers, sweetie. -
Totally cool.
Oh yeah. Got the pencils from Graver's work on Lucretia de Loccia.
*joygasm* This is gonna be SOOO cool. -

My prize out of everything in my haul?
THE CON CRUDS!
Beware, they appear to be rather nasty this year... I'm out to drink more tea and sleep.

NO NOT THE CON CRUDS!!!!
*huggles*
Feel better, she-goat. And take care of the back, too. -
Nice work!!!!
And yeah, Poser can be a real [censored]. I'm still using version 6 I think, haven't gone to 7 yet (lack of $$, altho' I've probably bought enough costumes/poses/maps/etc to pay for the upgrade). -
Gah! I've got bills!!
Dammit... I hate these 'limited time' deals...
*checks bank balance*
D'oH! -
I present for your consideration:
Soul Train - 43 Kin/Energy/Psychic - She tends to devolve to a really thick ghetto persona when she's pissed off: "Now you get on up outta heah, 'fore ah come bust yo haids!"
Mistress Ohm - 36 Elec/Elec Blaster - "Oh I'll give you 'power', darling, more than you can handle, I think."
Feral Tigress - 38 Claws/SR Scrapper - "Mrowwwwwwllll... (lashes tail)... Rikti come here to hunt and kill... I think... we hunt THEM instead!"
And for villains (none of which are high enough for RWZ yet, but give me time):
Daisy Chain 32 Martial Arts/Ninjitsu Stalker "Their weaponry and origin do not matter. They can be killed. That is what matters."
La Diablesse - 22 Mind/Fire Dominator - "Awww... the little darlings don't believe in Hell. (coy expression) I'd be happy to show it to them...." -
THAT is pretty spiffy.
*thinks of the sewing machine and embroidery rig in the closet, purchased for the Sig.Other awhile back*
"Honey.... uh... you think you could do something for me?" -
Demo files should be easier for us...
but then they would have to playback/dump the demo, assemble the frames into video clips, playback again to get the sounds, then edit the whole thing.
If they get the vids from us... they skip all that work! -
I dunno... not sure if we ever got shots (or a demorecord) of her costume(s)...

Heh. It could be, possibly. -
Got a 'Package Deal' of several works by Ebony-Chan of my succubus, La Diablesse (Virtue):
La Diablesse Pin-Up
Two Sides to the Same Demoness
So far the pencils are looking good... -
I'm with Sartori, I can't draw or paint to save my life (well OK, i do OK with perspective studies using acrylics, or did at one time).
So having 3D rendering tools available makes it possible for me to actually create something worth checking out.
But, a lot of the things you can do isn't just the program. Things like composition, lighting, cameras... you get all those elements together, and you can create really nice scenes with little to no postwork. Yes, they're 'raw'... just like a kid with a Polaroid camera does 'raw' photography... but it still can be art.
THAT's where the skill is.. to make the elements fit the imagination. By whatever means necessary.
that said, you're an master, Doug, and we salute you. -
I... remember that fight.... barely.
..... Anyone got any Excedrin? -
OO definitely. Put website on hold, and show wife a GREAT time.... after all she was the one wading thru all the spam I was...
er...
right.
Happy birthday Nakiesha.
