Qatars would be too close to claws, IMO, no matter how cool they'd be (and the fact that they're punching weapons instead of slashing).
But sai would be awesome, especially if some of the animations involved flipping them into a reversed hold, using the guards as disable/disarm moves, or Focus being changed to one or two thrown blades with Lethal/piercing instead of Knockdown/Knockback.
I'm actually looking forward to this set. I'm just of the belief that two LONG blades are not nearly as elegant or sexy as two short blades. -
How about this for the flaw (and this might also factor into the costume design, which I can't do at the moment, I'm at work):
The youngest Ryga's powers ARE his curse. The force of gravity is his power source, and it keeps him alive. He has no need for food or drink, not even to breathe.
But he cannot be touched or held - the gravitic energy 'film' surrounding him disrupts most matter on contact. There's a continual ozone scent from air molecules getting ripped apart as they drift across the field. His costume is a holographic projection, energy being the only thing he can clothe himself in. -

The blue pencil that you see people use is typically a non-photo blue pencil which does not show up in photocopies or graphic art cameras. This does not hold true for a lot of scanners, however. Scanners will typically pick up the blue color anyways, making that particular usage void.

The nice thing about most computer art/graphics programs is, you can use layers or color selection to make blue-lines invisible at will. A blue-line scan can be selected, dropped into a background layer, inked over, colored... and then the 'blue lines' can be simply turned off for the final rendering (although I'd not delete the layer or the linework). -
The stripes are off to the left. Most pictures featuring the flag have the stripes on the right. Granted, when a flag's on a flagpole it can blow in whatever direction the wind blows.... but if Mesh (or you) simply flipped the picture horizontally, then the flag facing would be "correct".

I'm in agreement that the dual blades are too firggin' LONG...
I was thinking this would be more along the lines of a shortsword/main gauche combo, or twin sai or wakizashi .... -
I'd use the biosynthetic armor texture along with the plant details. That way the spines look like part of the "plant." -

*GLOMP-AGE!!*
Oh yeah. Artwork = awesome. *glomps artist too* -

I had this commission in the pipeline and Javier Kisic was kind enough to change it up at the last minute when I had this other idea pop in my head. This is an awesome, sexy picture of my newest heroine whose name just became available after the name purge.
Here is how she appears in game: Soviette References
and here is the amazing piece of art. WARNING: slightly NSFW

then why don't you move there if it's so great? Although I expect no less from someone who uses a stupid squirrel-person avatar like a 2 year-old. God I can't stand misfit kids with attention crying issues.

....buh?
Where'd this come from? You didn't think that comment was serious, did you? Cos if so... go listen to more Rush Limbaugh or something. -
The problem with the last design is, it incorporates Vanguard pieces which are only available at level 35 AND after much killing of Riktis.
So don't think that would be viable. -
No no... he couldn't show cos he was under the knife. Or recuperating...

And my layout.
I tend to keep window scaling fairly small, even tho' I'm on a decent-sized screen (1600x1200).
And yes, Soul is getting impatient, there.

Oo, I like that idea of a tab for private mesages!

That helps a lot, I don't miss as many due to being lost in the chatscroll.
Also makes it real easy to copy those damned RMT tells for the anti-spammer petitions. -
Troy, we demand that Patriette be retconned to this character in the Common Grounds reprints!! :P
I'm kidding. I think. No, wait... I'm semi-sorta-kinda-serious. A little. OK, a smidge. Uhmmm... -
Gah! I missed out on the Moggie!!! *kicks self*

Oh YOU were one of the ones I was playing tag with on I-35, weren't you? Hehe!!
-
amazing!!! Javier's a freakin' wizard, he is.

Wow.
Yes there was the minor snafu of the unregistered's being told to 'show up early' and then told 'come back at 7:30 once the line's thinned down.'
Which meant I got to throw more $$ at D&B's games. Whoopee.
Did NOT know about the food and such, thought this was just gonna be a meet and greet, not, yanno, like an NCSoft mini-convention.
Got to meet Cuppa, Rowr, BllZBubba, I think Balorn, the Defuser, probably lots of other people whose names I either didn't get, or promptly spaced... (sorry! I'm Old!)
... and of course when my chance came to talk to Ghost Widow... I flashbacked to the last STF I was on, where she pwned all of us, and got cold feet. Sorry GW, you're just TOO imposing in that costume. Maybe if you wore the red one? I o no....
OH yes... swag! I actually decided against getting the full bag o' stuff, cos, yanno, I didn't have a minivan to put it in.
Or a backpack.
So instead the hat, beanie, and Guild Wars expansion set went into the tankbag on the bike.
And the next time we do one of these, I'm coming down a day early, and leaving a day late. Riding there and back within 14 hours has got every muscle in my hands, feet, and rear end SORE -- sportbikes are fun, but not on long freeway rides!! But I made it home, with no mishaps. -
Yep. Rode the bike.

Be safe and careful coming into to town guys! It's a football weekend and that means extra cops and extra traffic on the roads.
