Would like some help with designing a costume.

With the overhanging shadow of I11, and the dreaded mantra of "information pending" looming over my soul, I've entertained myself by conceiving out a Dual Blades/Regen Scrapper I wish to make.
The (tentative) name is ChronoBreaker, and this is his current costume.

Put plainly, it sucks. Hard.
I do not like the fact that it sucks. Hard.
I wish it to not suck. Hard.

I AM rather fond of the helmet design and the reaper-and-shouldercape-makes-it-look-like-a-scarf, but aside from that, I enjoy absolutely nothing about it. I tried to go for a sleek, form-fitting armor befitting of many Kamen Riders, but that above just doesn't...fit. At all.
Thus, I come to you to ask for help. Aside from the above-the-neck and the fact that he has a yonis (i.e., is a male), revamp anything and everything you want. Colorscheme, costume style, costume theme, anything. Use any vetwards, use any invented costume pieces, use any Vanguard pieces...anything you need.

Character info is, well, rather simple, in case you need it to help with costuming:
His civilian identity is Masaaki Hiroshi, a dashing casanova and a suave example of a college kid. Handsome and cool-headed, little can wipe the permanent smirk off of his face. Also an impeccable bullshitter and a devious manipulator, capable of convincing people of nearly everything--a trait he credits to "each of my words having a hundred hooks, ten hundred deceptions, and a thousand lies".
Despite his fondness of stringing people and his unashamed womanizing, his steadfast sense of justice and desire to protect the innocent cannot be denied. In a very, very Cliff Note's version of his backstory: When he found an ancient artifact resembling Chronos' Zodiac Wheel and promptly defended it from monsters that seeked to harness its power for themselves, they were struck down after a fierce battle. A cloaked woman with a lyrical voice approached him, realizing the great power that he had contained within him...but simply needed nudging.
Gracing him with the technology of her people, the long-dead Sirens, she gave him two simple items--a belt with a slot in the middle, and a hi-tech watch. Taking off the watch and inputting it into the belt would give him the ability to transform into ChronoBreaker, the Clock Watcher, and is a role he has taken up forever since...though it often sometimes clashes with his college studies.
He eventually met Scordatura, my MA/SR Scrapper and another bearer of Siren technology, though hers made her the Musical Maestro. Though she utterly despises his personality, she knows his heart's in the right place, and both of them fight alongside each other as "Catch Tempo".
His weapons are the Hour Hand and Minute Hand of a clock, except enlarged as blades. His natural affinity to time also hastens his healing, so opponents need to move faster than he in order to defeat him.

So, there's info, there's the sets, there's a few things I would like. I would very, very much appreciate it if anyone would take up this request--if you request influence as payment if I take your costume, I will not deny it.

I'll make one. but I'm tired now so... Ill have one tomorrow! Have low expectations, that way it will seem a lot better than you expected no matter what.

- Metallic texture is just yucky, try one of the techs or chitin styles. or heck just a nice color of tights.
- don't feel obligated to use everything the creator offers...such as shoulders...
- gloves really need to change, something more tech or flared. Justice plate just looks bad.
- add a 3rd color to the mix. Then rearrange the colors on the head piece so that each piece stands out from the rest (I can't even see your guy's visor).
- are you sure you want robotic upper arms? I think you'll be better off with just normal upper arms that match the chest texture.
- only thing wrong with the helmet is that I think you went overboard with the top and side pieces. I suggest you just pick one of those pieces and remove the other piece completely (or change it to something less distracting)

These are just 2 ideas I threw together quick. In both of them I kept your original helmet, althought I would suggest maybe changing the visor color, but I kept it as is.

ChronoBreaker

I kept the color scheme because it seems to fit the name. When I think of a clock I think gold. If you like anything from either of them, let me know. I will use what you like to revamp them more.

The problem with the last design is, it incorporates Vanguard pieces which are only available at level 35 AND after much killing of Riktis.

So don't think that would be viable.

"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."

Agreed, it won't be able to be done from the start. The Op though did mention we could use invented pieces, vanguard pieces, and vet pieces. This is why I made the costume on the right easier to be made from the start (minus the vanguard chest piece).

I am going to work on one that includes only invented pieces and initial pieces.

That reminds me, Ninja_Beethoven, what travel power do you have envisioned for your character?

Having just got back from work, wow, Kodiak, that's a hell of a design to return to. Thanks so much for taking the time.

I'm fond of the second design--the first just seems too "busy", with how complicated the Vanguard pattern is. I'm incredibly fond of how you thought to use those shoulderpads, though, and that chest detail. It blends perfectly, too. The vanguard gloves, however, I'm immensely fond of--would they look better if they were colored the same red as the shoulders/chest, or do they look good in yellow?
I do find it also ingenious how you managed to use the Stripe pattern on the Stealth skin, instead of the namesake pattern. It fits perfectly.

The Stealth BOOTS, however...I'm not so fond of. They always looked incredibly...strange to me, more zombie-like, and especially not befitting of an armored appearance as all.

In any case, thank you again for taking this request, I very much appreciate it.

Hmm... I might take a strike at this as well. But it's late, and I got stuff to do in the morn, so I'll get back at you tomorrow... Hopefully.

EDIT: Welp, I don't have enough time to make EXTENSIVE planning, but I do have enough time to randomly dive into the costume creator and create a... Creation. Yeah. Anyway here is ChronoBreaker Alpha!

YES.

I was waiting for the "Sentai-themed" costume master to show up.

I don't have time tonight (gotta get up early), but I will take a few screenshots of the second outfit with different boots and matching the gloves color to the armor and whatnot. The only problem with having the gloves match the armor is that it is not just the outer "shield" that changes but the part around the hand too. I personally think it looks distracting, but I will give it a shot. Maybe I will try the vanguard boots. We will see! :-) I am glad you like it!

It seems that the colors you chose were a bit overpowering so I used dark gray, dark mustard and crimson accents color.
You still have a sleek look without being too shiny

I used the stealth base
(Stealth + Stripe 3 gets you the side area colors)

I like the stripe 3/stripe 2 option with stealth, too, but I took a slightly different tack. Here's my best (or at least best/quick) take on a Kamenrider-ish costume:

WHY is everyone using the STEALTH PARTS!?!?! GRAAAAAAHHH!!!

Hey Beethoven... Try using the sliders.. I always play with them to tone down the physique, shrink the waist (all the way down) sometimes broaden the shoulders, and lengthen the legs. You could make it look a lot more super-stealth-ninja-fighterish if you don't have the bulk of the regular Male build. I always thought w/o changing sliders they looked a bit fat

The costumes I posted were with the shoulder sliders maxxed and the leg length and hips maxxed too. I always have fun with the sliders.

Oooh, can I play too?

Not so sure about the boots tho, or the gloves for the matter. Or the chest. Or...

Um...

I tried to make it flashy!

Ninja, please post a reply! I want to see what you think of the stuff!

Well...I'll post a more in-depth reply tomorrow, commenting on each of the ones so far. So far, however, I'm leaning towards Kodiak's second, implementing a few of Chisoku's elements. Both of those really captured the feel the most, I think--though both had some things I didn't like about them, both still had enough qualities I liked in them.

CAPUSA's also looked cool, though quite similar to Kodiak's and very darkity-dark. I'm still trying to find the reason why I like it. The Voldrator/Void Rider's helmets looked cool, though not at all what I requested.
Flashybot made me want to gouge out my eyes.

A more in-depth post tomorrow, sleep now. But thank you all very much for your input, I'm going to see what I can do with all of the suggestions and ideas, mingling a few of the really good ones together.
