I think he wants it a BIT more complex than that.
But, to the "requested it 8 times" comment... if you didn't get any hits the first 4 times, I'd seriously consider one of two things:
1) research the specs, and maybe revise them so it's not as complicated
2) start saving money
Also, there was the stated timeframe of 12 hours of Photoshop time. Now, I don't know how much a digital artist usually makes per hour. I do know that it'll be considerably more than minimum wage, because PS is not a broom - it takes training and practice to learn how to work with it effectively. Couple that with the raw artistic talent needed to do something other than bang out piecework, and.... you get wages in the 'artisan' range.
So... take your average professional wage, something akin to a custom cabinetmaker or auto mechanic, and multiply that by 12. That would be your ballpark figure for this 'simple' request.
Not so simple anymore, is it?
THAT SAID.... it does sound like an interesting project. -
....
I guess Soul is the one voted most likely to hit 50 on ANOTHER server!! -
I think what Suichiro is protesting against, is ALL black. Or "Henry Ford" black.
You know, where everything... is black.
Consider using a very very dark purple, green, or blue... or red.
Also, choose colors that contrast nicely with the character's skintone (ESPECIALLY if you've got lots of skin). This turns the skintone (be it flesh colored or some wild shade of purple) into yet another contrast to play with.
And lastly... unless you want to be placed into the "garish" category, don't choose colors that are completely opposite on the color wheel (yellow and purple, or red and green, or blue and orange) AND totally saturated and bright. The human visual cortex goes a little wonky when viewing these combinations. If you do want to use these combinations, space them out with a third color, and try not to put them next to each other.

"You can have the model T Ford in any color you like... as long as it's black." -

Mmmm.... very "Turtledove alternate history fiction meets swashbucklery goodness".
-
You know... the background for the character screen CAN be changed... the splasher program can accept anything that's 1024X768... even a simple single-color or gradient backfill.
You now, like what studio photogs use. -
Yanno... I'm thinking it's the venue.
California not being ... kind.. to the starving artist types.... GOD it's expensive to live there.... -

Mmmm.... i got lots of treats for that one. Even if she's playing tricks.

I've moved all my heavy hitter chars to Virtue.

well I couldn't come out and not try and deflate that massive ego a LITTLE...
*pokes Grae* it's all good, yours is awesome too. -
OK, having lived in the Bay area for, oh, 10 years... I can definitely say that Milpitas would be hell to get to on a Friday afternoon. The Great Mall of Milpitas is at the confluence of two of the biggest traffic-jam freeways (880 and 680), plus you're looking at all the folks who would want to get there from the Peninsula (101, San San Mateo or Dumbarton bridges) or from Santa Cruz (Highway 17).
Strange as it may seem, I would actually recommend that you consider San Francisco's Sony Metreon as an alternate location.
Here's why:
It's a short walk to the BART station (hey we're heroes, we take the tram everywhere!) which is BY FAR the best transport in and out of SF. The parking lots for the various outlying stations are usually emptying out as people commute OUT of the city, they're well lit, and if you travel BART... parking is validated. Plus the Metreon has all sorts of cool stuff going on, there's a skating rink nearby, and it's right across the street from Moscone Center and a short walk to SF MOMA (Museum of Modern Art.)
Granted, you get to deal with SF's street people... but hey, those from the Rogue Isles should feel right at home.
OTHERWISE... I'd suggest one of the more centrally located 'bedroom communities' in the East Bay someplace. Finding a venue might be tricky, but parking will be more plentiful and it'll be slightly easier to get to than... ew... Milpitas...
That's my take. Personally... I'm holding out for a meet in Dallas... Austin was ubercool, but we need Jomaro "MMOArt" Kindred to show up, and so far my attempts of luring him out of his studio for a beer have not been successful. -
To conform to the new rules of "must-not-step-on-OP's-feelings", my stock answer of "No" is modified thusly:
[ QUOTE ]
I'm sorry, no.

After all, this may be a teen-rated game, but there are many many MANY adults playing it. As adults, we learn quick that "no" is a perfectly valid response. We also learn to deal with hearing it.
So... to the adults reading my answers, you've heard it before. You know what it means.
To the not-yet-adults who may not have heard this word enough to become acclimatized to it, and therefore may experience some ego trauma from it - this is as safe an environment as any to build up scar tissue. Trust me on this, you'll need it. -
Well I'm sure that'll get sorted out soon enough.
Vue Infinite, eh?
Might have to give that a try. -
Hehe. Doug gets that a lot. And yes... the Serra Angel IS one of the most beautiful cards in the game, if not the most beautiful.

My big thing is, I can actually do more in the way of environmental work in programs like Bryce. Plus the rendering turns out better.
I just wish I didn't have to go from Poser to Daz to Bryce. It would be nice for Bryce to be able to read the Poser file directly.
Perhaps a later version (I'm using 5.5) or an add-on will do this... but I'm cheap. -

Was a total surprise... and I've seen this character in the D before, so ... will have to *glomp* her next time I see her.
