Ooh, that's a really sharp costume you've got there!
It wins a lot of contests. I think it's the chest detail that nobody uses.
Yeah it's a pretty interesting costume you got there.

You should add a face/chest close-up pic. =)
Also, i draw as well, and I am currently drawing my Sg, so when I'm done with it, i would be more than happy to show it on here.
Good suggestion, I'll add those tomorrow, when I log on.

It's one of my favorite chest details, I just never manage to use it on a character that I stick with!
The colors compliment each other very well, it's strong and maybe even a bit iconic - it's a very slick design.
Now I just need some free time so I can do freebies! ARGH.
Take your time, I'm in no rush. Good art takes time... So take as long as you need (That goes for everybody)
Next time, I'd go into the various art threads that are abound and apply for a place in line like everyone else. These kind of threads might get a bite or two, but you're likely to distance yourself from artists here that would otherwise do art for you.
Also, I'd go take screenshots in the tailor screen at Icon. They're much more clear and it's easier to see details of your outfits in them. Hit print screen while you're in the tailor screen and it'll copy a screenshot into your system clipboard. You can then paste that screenshot into any graphic editor.

The Guide to BURN
My beef with the tailor/creation screen is that it doesn't use white light and has a dark background (as a default, anyway). Speaking for myself, I VASTLY prefer screenshots taken, say, out in Atlas Plaza during the day. Nice, clean light means details aren't lost in the dark and colors actually appear correctly.
You know... the background for the character screen CAN be changed... the splasher program can accept anything that's 1024X768... even a simple single-color or gradient backfill.
You now, like what studio photogs use.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
Unfortunately since you've got such a pixelated and small screenshot,
all ya get is a rushed black and white sketch...
Heck, I almost didn't want to do it after seeing all those "Justice" pieces, I hate, HATE drawing those...
LJ
I like all the colors, but the ONLY thing I don't like about that costume is the Metallic texture mat. I really think it would look better with Tight 1 or Tights 2...then again I'm not a big fan of the legs and chest textures in the first place.

I've used that chest detail.
Another lil tip: Make sure no one's around you when you take screenies. Make sure you've got a nice clean silhouette and you're not standing on top of anything.
It's helpful
I think they are suggesting something like this.
BTW, cool sketch LJ and cool costume Granite!

Its nice.
Actually LJ, I like that picture, I can use photoshop to put color... Unless you don't want me to, it's your piece.
Thornster i saw it, and I am taking screenshots of those styles right now. And LJ, I apologize for the justice armor.
I have no worries, color as you like, it's a gift.
All who would like to take on the challenge of recreating my main toon Granite Matt S. in art form are welcome to do so.
Use him to practice your art, your mini's, your mega's, pretty much anything.
But theres a catch, post what you make on the forums for all to see. I know the people here will give positive support and feedback.
Screenshots coming in a few minutes!
Luff,
Matt
