I was on my new stalker yesterday and asked for an AE team in broadcast. I run papers to get the mayhems for Invader accolade then run AE farms in-between until I get to levels where my attack chain is filled out enough to easily do Arcs. (only my MMs don't need to wait on fuller attack chains)
So in broadcast Pwnunoobs told me that I need to stop asking for AE and get out and "experience the game". Apparently doing virtual missions as opposed to "real" missions wasn't teaching me the game well enough.
Because obviously there is such a huge difference between clicking on the AE console and then doing a mission vs. clicking on a virtual contact and then doing a mission......
Doing all regular missions is fine and doing all AE is fine.
Pretending like you aren't learning the game because you do some AE is ridiculous.
I have played with people that almost never do AE and it didn't make them suck any less or have any better of an understanding of powers.
Some people don't learn how to be retarded, they were just born that way.
Epilogue: Right after Pwnunoobs told me I needed to leave the AE building and "experience the game" I saw him zone into the very same building on his SoA and proceeded to join the AE team I was on before seeing me on it and then suddenly quitting.

I think a lot of people come in and do a lot of AE because they are new to the game, it is easy to navigate and may have been the selling point for them getting the game in the first place.
New players always take a while to get up to speed and that isn't necessarily the fault of AE.
I'm pretty sure there have been major SG leaders on this server that had an understanding of powers like I have an understanding of Martian dialects and that was long before AE. -
There just seems to never be anyone on that is willing to do this. Maybe one or two here and there but that isn't exactly a superteam.
There also always seems to be some scheduled event going on.
That's not really a bad thing, shows an active server, but trying to get things rolling on redside is LOLOLOLOLOLOL. -

All-Dominator Superteam - Starting Monday 07/27 at 7pm Eastern
Who: YOU!
What: All-Dominator Superteam. Any mix of powersets and powers allowable. You just need to be a Dominator. Team-friendly and AoE mezzes/damage preferred for obvious reasons.
When: 7pm Eastern, Monday 07/27
Where: Meet up with your freshly-made level 2 toons by Kalinda, in Mercy Island. If you want to skip the intro and come out as level 1, due to a rebellious nature or an inordinately short attention span, that is ok too, I will just give you a very scornful look, from my computer chair.
Why: Because I [censored] said so.
We can all meet up around 7 to start on Kalinda's arc together and begin the leveling up process. If there are enough people to where there are multiple teams, that should be no problem to arrange. We will just form up as many groups as possible and start the carnage.
I will form up a Supergroup by Monday that we can use unless someone else would like to do that before then. Being part of the supergroup is definitely not mandatory, it just helps with communication.
Champion Villains is another communication tool that can be used as well, because the channel has very little activity/dialogue going on in it. Using BMT may flood that channel too much and annoy a certain blue enforcer.
I would also like to avoid AE as much as possible and do actual content since you get badges/accolades that way. We can do papers/story arcs/SF's etc.
Doesn't mean we can never do an AE mission, just don't want to live there.
