back after 2 years
ice/em took some hurt with the changes to pvp. As it stands currently, animation time dictates damage to a certain extent. As such, ice/ with its uber fast animations lost a bit of its awesomeness. This also means that total focus took the place of bonesmasher for the "one melee attack you actually use in pvp" slot.
As with all things, ice/em can be made to work (-rech is still as good as it always was) but in the end psi/ and sonic/ (new fotm blaster builds) will outdo ice/.
If you can handle that fact, I think it is a character worth sticking with if you enjoy the style of play. Anything CAN work in this game, even if it isn't #1.
If you plan on doing serious amounts of competitive arena, however, you might want to consider a reroll.
@TheBro
solo pvp?
Cooler than every single owl EVER.
PVP is gone, City of Heroes doesn't have PVP anymore.
This saddens me... but, hey, i guess i get to make a new toon and learn pvp from the ground up again, lol
thank you thank you!

WB quitta - most of Jal is gone, Mage is still around but I don't think he pvp's much - blaster still good - stalker still good - corr good on team but you need to get ios and pvp ios - if you logged on you probably got ownership of jal base on freedom - check it out it might be full of em :P
A lot more toons than before are now PVP viable. Long Live the new PVP! So I'm sure your builds work fine.
I was being serious....
You were also being very wrong, hence the lols.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
yeah, he is very mediocre, seems very watered down with HO's his build itself still seems viable though but my reaction times aren't what they used to be, gotta shake off the cobwebs i guess, lol
Ok, so I just reinstated my account, am installing all the new patches and was wondering if any of my old toons are still viable in pvp? Mainly my ice/EM blapper (do we still use this term) any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
