i meant electric shackles is another source of -recovery since HE isnt easy to have perma on your target. also some would argue phase is better because you arent a sitting duck if anyone decides to camp on your icecube.

how is poison anymore? i was thinking about doing maybe demons/poison since they didnt ever proliferate poison over to corrs(nor does it seem at all likely at this point).
does the slow matter? hold, skippable? noxious any good? my last attempt at an mm was necro/psn but i didnt stick with it long enough and deleted in the 30s, ~i8. -
what if pvp recipes dropped for every win in the arena but it was tied to some kind of voting system, observers get to decide, and the more observers the better the drop.. so if you dual box or try to farm with friends you get the same garbage but if you can get like 10+ to "buy tickets" to watch you get something nice. then, i dunno, limit it to one a day or something.
maybe they could make a system message popup over /ac whenever a match was starting, kinda like a commercial for a boxing match, so that potential observers could watch without having prepared to attend in advance using /arenalist. -
mu doesnt suck. the hold is good for HE downtime since the OP's build isnt elec/therm. theres always the choice of taking phase over hibernate(never take both b/c of nophase) and a resist shield is a resist shield in pvp.

i'm sure dark/kin would be plenty of fun, i played dark/thermal back in i6 and it was a great support build, all im saying is fire/kin is alot stronger for large scale damage and can acheive a similar level of safety from almost the same io sets.
your analysis/comparison is ignoring fire ball and in pve i cant remember the last time i have seen someone use flares except in the early game.
you could argue that dark blast is easier to proc out and squeeze a little more damage from there but on average fire blast still does more and can still take a couple of procs in its aoes as well. the little bit of to hit debuff is negligible when you can just as easily slot for more defense bonuses and reach the soft cap vs pve critters.
if this was just an experiment for fun dont let me stop you, fun>numbers. personally, i was thinking about doing a dp/kin for fun since it has so many cone/aoes, when i get some spare time. -
eh.. dark blast.. whats the point of being softcapped if you arent pumping out damage? i have a fire/kin/mace that i softcapped using alot of this build's tricks but also has rain of fire, fire breath, fireball and of course fulcrum shift up every group with no downtime. with web envelope to leverage rain of fire most things die in one chain of those attacks.

i find this hilarious. not the content of the suggestion(which too was pretty lulzy) but the fact that whoever had the idea felt sufficiently self concious to roll a temp account rather than be known for suggesting dumb ideas. what a community...

i dont think its even going to be still searchable but i do remember reading that from castle back around i6-7 when zones were still new. most of todays pvpers are either too new or dont really follow the forums unless their specific tactic gets nerfed.
btw threads like this are a waste of time, noones listening upstairs. -

i'm trying to get back into playing recently but my time is very limited. today i realized i still have an unfinished build on a toon i wanted to play but i dont feel like spending days sitting at a market window.
bottom line: ive got a list of cheap stuff i want you to buy for me and have ready to trade when i get off work(around 6pm eastern). the deal should work out in your favor i think, here is what i am looking for:
set of 4 decimation, minus the proc & acc/dam/rech
set of 5 gaussian, minus the proc
1 winter's gift travel/end
a numina heal/recharge & a heal/end/recharge
1 steadfast -kb
this is for a lv50 character but levels arent too important to me as long as i get decent %s. for stuff that caps at 50 i will accept as low as late 30s. for the decimations as low as 30.
in tandem with this request i also have a membrane to trade for a ribosome
p.s. this is for freedom heroes.
p.p.s. if you think this is too much i am willing to bargain further but i havent gotten to look at any other spare loot i had lying around yet.

way back when we 1st got payed transfers i brought my sonic over to freedom, with free transfers i took it back off...

conversely, if you are on a low level and kill a higher level your recipe will be your exact level.

thanks mac. my only real concern is that without a hard mez, toggles like rad infection etc. will be really hard to have to escape regularly, whereas with ct: o you can stay aggressive.
i guess the fact that you tweaked it so easily means that if i dont like your version it will be easy to just use the other one. -
calling out a troll is also trolling if you dont add anything else.
OP: dont focus so much on recovery, if you build for +damage and make sure to slot actual powers for end reduction you should be just fine, especially with conserve power and a miracle/numina. all psi/ems are built the same because it works, no need to reinvent the wheel. -
how about this one? my mids will only let me slot shatter armor with to hit buff so i put pulverize in as a placeholder to plan out the IOs. i wasnt aware that banes could go higher than 1606hp(i play too many squishies), what is their HP cap? this build has 1728hp, 32.5% +rech before mental training(20%), 18% +damage, decent +acc and +def and -43 kb w/o acrobatics.
also uses no purples and only the amount of lotg i actually had lying around in my vg base. do you think a bane with CT:O needs a kismet? i could drop a lotg for a kismet pretty easily. finally, how important do you think placate is? i couldnt fit it in this build and still have CT:O.
i am thinking i can build this for considerably less than 500m based off of what i already have. i wonder if its worth it?

i have some inf and loot left over on my home server and an unslotted bane wasting away. since we get to shuffle toons for free i want to build and move it to the pvp server. i want something with 41 points of kb protection and an escape power but i dont have any notable melee experience. i came up with this skeleton but im flexible as long as it works.

free transfers are a step in the right direction but its still the same game. this game is on its last leg, dont expect any vets to invest much effort into building a pvp sg and i sincerely doubt we are getting any new subscribers. small groups of friends is the best you can expect.

freedom lately is like justice was back in i6-8 except freedom still simply has more bodies. i can understand these guys clinging to their home server as it was hard for me to start over, especially if you go alone, but maybe if you all make the switch together and form your own sg/vg on freedom it wont be so bad?
if you let this opportunity pass and you dont make the switch you will only have yourself to blame when you are faced with empty zones and a dead /ac.
i know its popular to bash justice lately but alot of the better people on freedom came from other servers. in fact, native freedom players havent really shown me much skill to be in awe of tbh.. its mostly a bunch of people using the same couple builds they know will win(elec/therm psi/em etc.) with no attempts to experiment. still, in the end i'd rather fight a sea of randoms who's skill is unknown to me than a handful of people that i know will only play a certain way. -
if youre looking for a place to retire pve toons you may want to try justice. if you ever want to do a raid on either side theres no better place for quality+frequency. after this free xfer period my justice vg is gonna be fully useless to me so i'll probably sell it off.
for pvp im pretty sure everyones heading to freedom. -
thanks ncsoft, this is truly a gift. i can now utilize all the loot in my justice base for my newer freedom toons.
