hmm ok, wasn't what i was asking, but thanks for the input, i'm after what i should go for in terms of IO sets, cause well i've never had a lvl 50 char before and this one looks to be my first one so i'd like some tips or advice or whatever.

the problem, at least for me, seems restricted to the actual RWZ, i set foot outside that HQ to do some actual combat, the netgraph goes nuts with red spikes, at that point, i can't zone or anything, have to quit to desktop to even leave the area, only other place it does this is the praeteon tutorial mission where u see the big ghoul resistance fight... think these places need some fixing, cause as it stands, i can't even get vanguard merits to get the vanguard costume parts for my brute....


edit: found out the problem for myself, turned out it was my modem, i gave it a factory reset then updated the firmware, readded the ports for CoH, and all is well with the RWZ, no lag, all smooth, so if u have a netgear DG834G, try updating ur firmware

i know this is an old thread, but i figured i'd reawaken it anyway, i just recently started playing again, and as it appears my build is slightly out of date, i was hoping for some help reworking it

really a pain to try and play and have it lag like this, if anyone can help us out that would be awesome.
things i have done so far, are making sure my internet security suite is letting it through, opened ports on my router/modem, so i know that can't be the problem. so yeah, any insight would be nice, kinda wasting 30 bucks atm lol

i'm should be more clearer, what i'm after is a slotting guide, i found this build and i'm currently lvl 6 or something, what i'm after is what i should do between now and 50, tbh, i'm just after a decent build that will get my to 20 asap, and dark/willpower looks like fun.
i mean, we ain't gonna be magically starting at 50 with billions of INF so we can get these awesome oranges, but then, its my fault for not making my point clear :P

yeah, umm that still has set items, i'm talking like starter enhancements or DO enhancements, i mean its not like i'll have those lvling up, just like some sort of plan to slot them to get the most as i solo.

yeah, as i said, my video drivers are the latest from ATI, 10.4, unless they had something newer recently. but i'll take a look, and thnks for the link to the fix.

hey all, i've recently come back to CoH and have had really bad lag since returning, my ping in open area's like atlas park will fly up to 1000ms, right after i get a "lost connection to mapserver" error on screen. some have said that its something to do with the graphics, but why would graphic settings have an issue on the game? my machine is pretty decent, and can run other games online with no problems, just CoH seems to really hate my net connection or something. if anyone can give me some tips to avoid this lag spikes, it would be much aprreciated, also, these spikes happen almost ever 10 to 15 mins.

hey there, i stumbled accoss this build and thought it looked pretty decent for a soloing build... anyway my question is, could u provide maybe a Solo build like one for those of us who don't have large wads of INF to blow in set bonuses?

i also started using this build i posted on my scrapper, for a while u are a tad squishy, but once u get Rise to the challenge at 16, and ur DOs ur power goes way up. i run most mishes on a -1 x2 setting currently, and its great, just gotta watch for the surprise butt secs

i'd like to see some new claw variations i mean, there are 2 atm, but maybe something like a energy blade like the protoss zealots in Starcraft, and a tech variation like the tech broadsword, that would be cool, they would fit in nicely with my claws/WP brute i have atm.

i cooked up this one, as a work in progress, its based on SO enhancements, this build i think should help u lvl.

end recovery so far, (i'm lvl 24 atm) is a thing of the past, don't get cocky though, if u get distracted in a big grp of enermies u can still die, i just carry a large amount of respite with me

its a great build so far, even with just 3 attacks, spin works great in big grps, my char i have come to call Spinny doom, cause most of the time u spin, stuff dies. any constructive crit would be nice as this is my first ever build, feel free to use this as a template, i worked in Fly cause i prefer to have some flying power, its just handy i feel, apart from that feel free to give me some pointers. i sure could use them.

i have found the major weakness atm for me is fight Mu adepts and the like, the -end they have hurts, i find i run outta end even with endredux in my powers, prolly get better once i get QR and stamina, ranged mobs are a pain in the butt to, but its still fun, HP since i got RttC has been pretty much null and void for me, seeing as i have massive grps, just wondering if anyone with more experiance at this has a good build in terms of where to put slots, cause some powers i can't be sure if its worth it or not. i'm lvl 19 at the posting of this, and i'm still having a blast, compared to my FA/DM brute, this guy has way more survivability.

i thought so, i slotted spin for acc and end so far, and it mows over whole grps of mobs and almost fills my fury bar after one use, its insane.

my big question would be, is there any point to slotting endredux on any of my powers, or should i just hold out for my end regen power from willpower class set?

i created a electric armor tanker, its going ok, i took stone melee, its a great hitter, but it seems heavy on the endurance, need something that works well with electric, course now the problem is i got given 2mil Inf and i can't transfer it, if i make a new tanker :P

still comes back to my previous post, giving me a slot set for when i hit 50 is all well and good, but i gotta get there first, i need a build that will help me lvl, i mean i don't know many ppl in CoH as it is, and finding grps is next to impossible most times due to time zone, so i need something that can help me solo.
