Quote:Think of it like building a house, if every year you want to hire contractors to come in and add on a new room you'll never have the time, money or effort available to make the rooms you already have feel like a home.Am I the only one who would like a level cap rise? At least the vocal majority seems to be violently against it.
Why do I want the level cap to be raised? Because I want more things to do with my top-level favourite toons, I want to progress them further. I especially want more powers for them. More enhancement slots wouldn't hurt, either.
And most of all, I'd like a few more high-level maps with new challenging enemies, TF's and missions.
Sure, I still like playing with my lower level toons. But when they hit 50, I tend to shrug them off. Progression is a big part of the fun, at least for me.
I've never understood any arguments against level cap raise, and still don't. More high level content, powers and stuff. What's wrong with that?! I don't think getting 5 more levels every 5 or so years is that excessive or "copying WoW". -
Quote:I'm sure CoX could develop more to extend the player base size to pay more salaries and coffee habits but in all seriousness I think WoW is a worse game because 8 trillion people play it.My whole hobby gaming store stopped playing CoH because of lack of character development at 50.
=/ they didn't try to get purples and such, but they try to do the same WoW raids over and over again for gear? meh. This game would get more people if there were more things to develop your char.
And as one of the games (I usually play a few mmorpgs off and on at any given time) I started playing since open beta I left WoW after they made it clear they were going to keep raising the level cap and basically undo any and all the work you could ever do to "finalize" your character and thus be able to move on to alts.
Now I do feel CoX would benefit from more end game content type things, I definately feel they have more in game to do than when I started here in issue 2, but would hate to see the actual level cap raised above 50.
The additional enhancement slots posited are in my opinion a step in the right direction, since they don't make pre-existing 50's weaker but do allow people who wish to make additional tweaking to a slew of alts (we all have alts I believe) and thus add more time & enjoyment to the game-level-scheme that already exists. -

I'd be nice if the pack only was toggled as ON if your using a build that has crab powers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed it would. On the surface that seems like it'd be an easy thing to code in. The game can already register which build you're using so a simple search algorithim could seek out Crab powers.
But things that seem easy when you're playing the game suddenly become difficult when you start coding the game -
I don't pvp much so I use the secondary build on pretty much all my toons as a flashback build.
Primary build is set for 50 with all the best enhancements I can afford at the highest respective levels available for the set I chose.
Secondary build is generally the same spec (sometimes differs if a power isn't good enough imo based on how I slot this build) but I use straight IO's for all the powers at the levels +3 I would have gained that power. Sometimes I get the exact level I need through mission artifact tickets but thats more of a chore since I don't MA too often so typically I just use the closest 5 level.
That way if I want to flashback to say 13 I can do so and have all the powers fully slotted with 15's, etc.
Just a strategy added onto all the other useful info people have included. -

If we are fighting a particularly tough Hero, I will bub teammates, but even then, it's at my discretion. Remember, you're a villain, quit playing the hero.

While we are wishing for more intelligent AI lets add someway to remove minor pain reactions to Necromancer pets.
Explanation, on my 4th MM I decided to finally try out Necro/DM and around 41 or so imagine my surprise when my UNDEAD MINIONS started running around like stupid morons with tacks in their feet when faced with Knives of Artemis caltrops attack. OMG that's stupid. -
You might be an AE baby if you have a level 20 Peacebringer and don't know what Patrol exp is.... (real broadcast question I heard yesterday heh)

This makes me so happy Positron can bear my children!

Wow that sucks, considering a Macaw's life expectancy is 30 to 50 years its a great pet to get for kids too so this type of trauma bs just doesn't have to happen.
Sorry for your loss. -
Guy wrote a good article until he added the Kill Skulls and as every illiterate-aliterate gang-banger knows its Kill Skuls noob.

Shannon_EU I don't have a clue what you are trying to say either other than you are talking about this build and the fitness pool.
You're using too much double speak, can you try explaining it plain & simple? -

Biggest thing: Cosmic balance/absorption work in forms. You can now tank in squid form and be a damage monkey in dwarf.
[/ QUOTE ]
Is this a mis-print or does Absorption really work in Nova/Dwarf forms for a WS? -
First post but who said I'm new, not my fault every time I stop playing to go do something else in my life they delete my old account.
Thanks for the oh so friendly return to the forums and try to help out dig tho, gee what a guy. -
Power Boost followed by Accelerate Metabolism should increase your Speed, Recharge, Recovery, Damage and Resistances while that particular buff lasts.
