Hello all. I haven't played for several months (since Feb) and was wondering if there was anything new, or anything new upcoming for the Khelds.

Here are the release notes from I13. It changed a lot for Kheldians.

Peacebringers
<ul type="square">[*]Peacebringers can now Activate Dwarf Form shape shifting while Held, Stunned, Slept or Terrorized.
[*]Peacebringers damage adjusted
Increased Melee Damage to 0.85 from 0.75
Increased Range Damage to 0.8 from 0.625
Increased Melee Dwarf Form Melee Damage to 1.0 from 0.85
[*]Luminous Blast/Radiant Strike: This power's long help stated it dealt high damage; this was corrected to state that it deals Superior damage.
[*]White Dwarf form Taunt powers now have a 75% Range Debuff component. This will have the effect of forcing ranged attackers to move closer to the Taunter.
[*]Cosmic Balance now grants 10% Recharge Slow Resistance per Peacebringer, Warshade, Arachnos Widow or Arachnos Soldier on their team.
[*]Cosmic Balance bonus now applies in shapeshifted forms.[/list]

Is this a mis-print or does Absorption really work in Nova/Dwarf forms for a WS?

It does! &lt;-------- Scratch this until I get home and check actual values!

EDIT :: I thought you meant the inherent power. Those do work for the form, but the inherent energy damage resist, I'm not sure about. As I've just started a new TriFormShade™, and he's currently un-slotted I'll have to get home and log on to my Lv50 TriFormShade™ and check out the answer to your question, sorry for the confusion!

You could of course use the /monitor_attribute &lt;attribute&gt; command to open up the attribute monitor display and check for yourself in Nova if the inherent energy damage resist is affecting your Nova or not, that's how I intend to check it when I get home.


I believe that a Kheldian Gold Standard should be based on SO's, and for anything above that... there's Platinum!

Just to clarify...

The Warshade inherent is Dark Sustenance. Cosmic Balance and Dark Sustenance now work in the forms.

Incandescence and Absorption (the level 1 passive resistance powers) work only in human form.

I did indeed mean Dark Sustenance. My apologies for any confusion this caused. Of course if you people would just read the patch notes for yourselves we wouldn't have this problem

Don't forget that human form ranged attacks had their ranges buffed up to the usual 80 foot range from the previous 50-60 ft ranges as well.

Also, even though it applies globally, the toggle suppression instead of toggle dropping feature for human form shields is another huge bonus for human-form Khelds.

Ok guys... I've got good news and bad news...

The good news first... Absorption seems to work in Nova form (according to the attribute-monitor), but for a few seconds only right after you switch, this of course being the bad news.

However, you'd be glad to know that Nova itself has 15% energy damage resist which is more than the 11.25% energy damage resist that unslotted Absorption provides.

If you're solo, this may mean something to you, but if you team, most likely, Dark Sustenance will provide you with more damage resists if you're teamed with Tankers, Masterminds, Corruptors or Defenders.

That's actually how all passives work in the forms, but I generally say they don't work because it's less convoluted than trying to explain the extremely brief, extremely limited way in which they do work, i.e. a sort of decay. They also take a short time to kick in once you return to human form, sort of a 'warm up'. This applies to Fitness powers as well.
