  1. That is true but most powers that have end drain as a main aspect (such as Transference and Heat Loss) drain more end than powers that have it as a side effect (like in Electric Melee and Blast). If there was one power that drained all the end from everything ranked boss and below for, say, 10 seconds, or perhaps an aura on the scale of Arctic Air that drained end on ticks whilst stopping recovery and perhaps having a small chance of sleep.

Just because so far all the end drain powers have been a bit meagre doesn't mean that it has to be. Though if Electric Control is going to be using pre-existing powers then it is likely that it will be meagre.

Either way, I'm looking forward to having a new control set to play around with for both Controllers and Dominators.
  2. I don't really mind what's included and what isn't, I'm just happy there's a new control set coming.

Though, admittedly, I would like a big end-drain power along the lines of Heat Loss (without the self and ally recovery) that also stops the recovery of the targets for a certain amount of time.

It probably won't be a hard control set like Earth Control; it's more likely to be either a soft control set which utilises endurance drain in copious amounts in the same way that Ice Control does slow and -recharge, or it's going to be a damage set like Fire Control. Personally, I'd much prefer the soft control option over something that would no doubt end up as a clone of Fire Control.
  3. Or it was just an attempt at throwing us off the scent so they could announce it when Marketing allowed them to.
  4. Elec/Elec Dominator is a must for me because it will finish off the set. Out of Force Field and Empathy I'm more likely to give the former a try but I still dislike both sets.
  5. I personally only like to use each primary and secondary once. The only secondaries I have yet to use are Force Fields and Empathy.
  6. This reminds me of Fable 2. It was a cool and fun idea but it quickly became irritating. Then again, it happened all the time and this proposed idea would have a small chance of happening.
  7. I think Poisons managed to get quite a nice, watery feel on some of the powers. Recolour those powers as an aqua blue colour and it looks quite close to what a water set could be like.

I will also be joining the Karma Police with Snowzone, an Ice/Cold/Ice Controller.

I'd bet that proliferation is done because everything has already been made, they just need to rebalance it all to fit the new AT. With the current primaries and secondaries Controllers only have the possibility of having four new secondaries (Traps, Dark Miasma, Poisons and Pain Domination) whilst Dominators have no possibilities for new primaries or secondaries yet they do have one Assault set without a corresponding primary. So if Sunstorm made Electric Control in the same way that he made Earth Assault, both as a way to get used to the system, then it's likely that Electric Control would be released in a proliferation to both Controllers and Dominators along with Traps for Controllers.

So just because there are proliferations it doesn't mean that new sets can't be included. This was the case for Mental Manipulation, Electric Assault and Earth Assault in the last two rounds of proliferation. Seeing as Sunstorm also made Earth Assault and he made it out of existing powers, then the Electric Control set he made would most probably be the same.

On the whole though, they are running out of things to proliferate anyway.

Also, maybe Marketing is telling Castle to squash the rumours!
  10. I was really looking forward to Electric Control because even though I haven't been around as long as others, I can still appreciate that Controllers and Dominators haven't had a new primary set since the release of CoV (ignoring the proliferation of Plant to Controllers and Earth to Dominators as they technically weren't new sets).

In short: As long as Controllers and Dominators get a new primary I'm satisfied.
  11. I'd love to make an Electric/Traps. Though I'd prefer to get the Mastermind version so we can detonate our pets instead of the useless Time Bomb.
  12. I got my Illusion/Trick Arrow Controller from level 41 to level 50. That was it really. I also got her 60% slotted up with sets thanks to a purple drop in an ITF.

I one hundred percent agree. After playing it to death on the training server and, admittedly, being taken in by the initial novelty of it, I have come to realise that it isn't really as good as it may look.
  14. I'd really love to see both sets proliferated to Controllers, though I'd prefer Traps to come alongside some sort of Gadgets set rather than by itself.
  15. The powersets that I don't particularly like are Empathy and Forcefields. I used to hate Thermal but I'm like it now I've gotten past the relatively dull heal/buff stage.

However, the largest problem for me would be ATs - I just can't get into anything that's not Controller or Dominator. I've tried them all but I've grown so accustomed to control that I can't stand not having control powers now.
  16. On the title page does the ratings say T or 16? If it's the former it's US, if it's the latter it's EU.
  17. I simply renamed it from cohupdater.EU.exe to cohupdater.exe, ran it, quit then renamed it back to cohupdater.EU.exe. Then it had to verify the files.
  18. I managed to get my EU updater to work.
  19. Even with bypassing the game crashes whilst zoning into the game for me.
  20. Very true. Forgot all about Mind Control. Then it'd probably have to be opened up to everything but at the cost of something.
  21. Give me Dark Miasma, Traps and Poisons (tweaked to allow Noxious Gas to be used on the pet) for Controllers and I'm pretty much happy... Still, I'd rather have new primaries before.
  22. Knockdown is just knockback that has a magnitude less than 0.75 (I think) so Frostbite will stop it from working. Besides, the AoE immobilises are pretty much useless on Dominators because they draw unwanted aggro and they don't actually serve any purpose for damage mitigation. Not to mention that some, such as Frostbite, do next to no damage.

As far as Dominators are concerned Ice Control has five, maybe six, powers that are worth taking in my opinion.
  23. Ice Slick around a corner has always worked for me. Alternatively I guess if you have superspeed you can just run into the middle and use Glacier alongside Arctic Air.

Ice Control doesn't really have many options for approaching when compared to other sets. I'd say the only one that has it worse is Gravity Control.
