Quote:I'm in total agreement here. The hair in this pack isn't necessary but an entire pack of hairstyles would be wonderful. For the love of God, I want better long hair for men. Dreads! GOOD Dreads!Figured these might be a good idea.
Item theme sets.
e.g.: A set that's all hairstyles (I am SO happy to get that ringlet hairdo with the gunslinger pack. I've wanted one of those for ages.) focusing on pieces that are absent in the current lineup. Like more long hair for men, short hair for women (buzzcuts, that sort of Caesar hairdo that the cim citizens have. Men could use that too), good dreads for either genders, braids, etc.
Further examples: A set that's all tops (baggy has so much potential for costume pieces it's criminally underused), or all jackets, or all boots, or all tight patterns. You get the idea.
The Retro space outfit I think you could go with the neutral space suit, bubble helmet, collar and boots.. little rings on everyone and do the skirt for the women. There are other pieces that could stand in for the top already available. (The basic tights and such) -
Quote:Excellent...I just simply never thought to go back and talk to him after the trials I've done, so far. That's another of the great things about the Incarnate system - after each new Trial is added to the game, players who complete it get extra text options when talking to Prometheus, and he gives us more info on the Well and the current situation in the multiverse.
Like after the first 2 Trials came out, if we mentioned the Comign Styrom to Prometheus, he just told us to focus on Tyrant and the loyalists threat - then after I20.5 and the Keyes' Reactor Trial, he told us more about the Well, and that it needed a champion or champions to protect it against the Coming Storm - and that if Tyrant was it's champion, then all of humanity would be lost before the Coming Storm even arrived - and now in I21 with the Underground Trial, he actually names the Coming Storm as the Battalion, but still says we need to defeat the loyalist meance first - once the multiverse is safe form Tyrant and the loyalists, and we're the champions of the Well, we'll be ready to face the Battalion.
And as the devs have said they're working on another 2 Incarnate Trials, I think we can expect more revelations from Prometheus as the Praetorian part of the Incanrate storyline reaches its climax.
of course now I've opened a floodgate of further spoilers for others. @.@ But thanks for clarifying my spoiler theories. -
Quote:That explains my cluelessness. I haven't talked to Prometheus much, at all. I am going to go educate myself a bit! Thanks everyone!reportedly Prometheus has more details on the Battalion after the Underground Trial is completed.
One of my concerns right now is that the Battalion will be "VIP" only. If they are indeed so powerful that players need the incarnate system to fight them, that would prevent any and all Free/Premium players from being able to participate in content with the Battalion. -
Quote:Ah hah! I appreciate that summary. They're an alien force that apparently use Kheldians as fuel for their starships - they've been floating around im the lroe for a while now, and were once planned to be an enemy group that would be so powerful players would need the invention system to fight them, and they wouldn't be able to solo them - that basic idea seems to still be around, and the Battalion are being lined up as a threat even more dangerous than Tyrant and the loyalists - so it looks like we'll need the Incarnate powers to be able to fight them, rather than the invention system.

Well that's an intrigueing twist! Bravo Dev who wrote that! Well done!
It does raise a few questions and theories though....
Spoilers of Open Beta follow, I'll try to be vague but it's going to be tricky and I apologize in advance...
.....
......
......
Is this connected to the "Coming Storm" the Menders prophesize about?
If so... does that mean the meteors and Shivans we see around in the newb-starter in the new tutorial .... Devouring Earth? O.o
Are the meteors we see seed-spawnlings?
Or are the Shivans simply using this invasion as their own window of oppurtunity? Huh... -
Devs, I gotta tell ya, after 6 years of on and off playing, you have never ceased to disappoint me in how much you care about us and value our input as a fanbase! THOSE are absolutely awesome! I love you guys!

Throwing my two cents into the thread, here. I reiterate from my previous post. The male hair should NOT be fixed colors. Please consider the two-color mapping issue here? Why was the hair sacrificed for the hatband?
I'd truly think the hatband should be the fixed color and let the hair and hat remain colorable if you must sacrifice something. The hair should not have been the sacrificed channel here as not all of us have brunettes.
This is a very bothersome feature to me, particularly as I have many male characters and most of them are redheads/white hair/blondes... etc ec.
Please rethink this? -
Am I missing some clever trick here or is there simply no option to change the hair color on the Steampunk hats for men? I see the option to change the hatband, change the hat, but the hair stays brown. This is deeply disappointing as the entire pack is beautiful but this really needs to be addressed as not everyone has brown hair.
Suggestions? Comments? Point me at how to change hair color if I've missed it? -
Positive feedback: The textures and heads all look really lovely. The detail and care you put into them is phenomenal and the ragged wolf tail is nice for a more wild look. I'm definitely looking forward to this.
Subjective Feedback: While I really love the cat feet, I'd love to see the rest of the costume patterns available for it. Example. So you can use 'blend' for a pointed leg (like a siamese or a fox with socks)
Also, while we're on the feet. I'm disappointed that you didn't give us a 'feet under pants' variation of it like you do with the Baron boots or other shoe options. It'd be nice for characters who don't have digitgrade legs but still want bestial feet.
Further, I'm disappointed with the options the wolves get versus the cats. Honestly. You gave the cats all these lovely patterns and variations. And multiple ear options. Couldn't you have done the same for the wolves? Please?
suggestions: Pointier, taller ears, ragged ears, more rounded wolf ears, etc.
Disappointments aside, I will still get it. But things to possibly think about if they're even possible to address. -
And once again, you devs do a marvelous job of gettin' my money!
I have two accounts you wiley things!
You really outdid my expectations for this pack. I'm very pleased with it. Everything looks great. Oh sure, no jackal heads but that's such a strange, niche' canine that it's not a huge disappointment for me. Egyptian pack, perhaps?
That said, I'm tickled at all the little pieces, the paws and new spots and that lion head! Thank you, devs! Also, is that another fluffy, wolf tail? It's... fluffier! Win!
As another said, 'Can I just give you my 10 bucks X 2, now?' -
Hah! a little like some of the vanities in WoW are. All for the laughs and visual. I'd support that!
-
Honestly I'm GLAD it isn't a buff pet. I weep every time I pull out those little buff pets and they DIE with a nasty look. Vanity pets are for fun. They should stay that way!

I've said it before, I'll say it again! You guys are so good to us! I appreciate it, deeply! Thanks devs!! I love you, too!
I'm seriously appreciating all of these gifts! The emblem is gorgeous, the full account Vanguard pieces is going to be highly utilized for all of my Vanguard heroes and villains and more badges! Wooot!
Lastly, more chibi mini-pets! Big. Time. SQUEE!
You have NO idea how much I have been wanting more vanity pets in this game! It's an indulgent obsession of mine. *hangs head, embarassedly, but happily* Chibi Vanguard heavy sounds incredibly cute!
I still want a chibi Hamidon, though, tooAm I alone in wanting more vanities?
Also, that cheetah head and the new dragon feet are looking really awesome! Can't wait for that pack to go live! Teases! XD -
Quote:This program is absolutely awesome even if you don't use Mids! I'm a badge hunter (albeit not a hardcore one) and I love that I no longer have to sit for interminable amounts of time clicking T T T T... "Oh wait, too fast..." Start over.. VERY nice to just pull them up with one click.Again thanks for the work/program
In CiT it says I have 977 badges, but on live I only have 975 badges. I have done the /info window and clicked on the badge tab and the Sentinel program shows 975 badges listed but when I send the data....the website still shows 977 badges. o_O
Any thoughts/suggestions and/or an easy way to fix this?
However, I too have seen this problem? Where are those extra badges coming from? -
Quote:Would this mean we will have a RAIN EVENT! (quotes George Carlin) Better get tickets for thatCount me among those who would rather NOT have weather put into the game in general.
Perhaps during an event? Certainly. I would love there to be a constant, light snowfall during the winter events - and the ice to come back to Perez and the other zones which froze over. The fog in Dark Astoria is nice, but I wouldn't want it around *everwhere*, not even for a short period of time.
It would have to be PURELY visual - except that ice on the water, which they haven't done since the first year, and I don't expect to see again - to keep people from just growing disgusted with it if it gets in their way.
Thing I'd rather see, is seasons reflected in the trees and grounds around town. That would probably add a huge amount of flavor, and not SO much in the way of 'getting in the way of people's play'.
I would much rather have the team dedicating themselves to revamping the whole of the blue and red side for both content and visuals, than putting any energy into rain anywhere in the game. -
I love the idea of a Praetorian Invasion event but perhaps as another suggested, do it like the Winter Lord events.
Have the event start, little 'portal devices' drop all over town that you have to click during a time set. (like the presents) That spawn little bunches of invaders. Once you get the random amount, the main portal opens and in you go to face the War Walkers or something of that nature?
This way people with zone sweeps and Task Forces aren't interrupted on their own and anyone not interested can go on their way.
The only trouble I can see is the trouble with the random mobs being unleashed into the zone. Any thoughts on how that could be dealt with? -
I owe you guys (and this thread) a great deal of thanks! I was really feeling sadness that I was going to be relegated to low-quality graphics any more just to continue playing, despite the nice computer setup.
I just need to decide which I like better, Occlusion or a lack of jaggedy edges -
Quote:AH HAH! I had upped the FSAA a night or two ago and that was when my crashing returned! I am going to set that back and hope for a pretty, shiny crash-free Praetoria!!!!Occlusion doesn't play nice with FSAA I believe. I read this in MaximumPC.
I also think shadows may not play nice with occlusion as well.
I believe it best to just disable occlusion as I've never enabled it(based on MaximumPC's info) and very rarely crashed.
I don't know what caused my crashes, but they were so very rare and not very abd so I don't worry abotut hem. I haven't had one for a couple weeks now I think.
I'll take faintly jagged edgy non-anti-aliasing over setting my game to pathetic, un-shiny UM any day! Here's hoping! -
I have been having this trouble ever since the launch. My drivers are updated, my computer ran all through BETA with out troubles on full UM mode. It ran UM all through I17 without trouble.
Once I got to Imperial City in live, though, the crashes are constant and very random. Travelling, zoning into the city, zoning in and out of instances.
My drivers are up to date.
I'm running a GEForce 260 GTX (which had no troubles with UM in I17 and Beta)
Dropping back the graphics does help but this is sadly distressing as I built this computer to run on UM and honestly hate having to see this gorgeous zone reduced to 'blah'.
I also had completely deleted and reinstalled the game and it seemed to help for a few days but it wound up starting up again this morning and went back to it's old tricks. -
That was complete win! The fact you used Frank Sinatra makes it all the more awesome! well done!
-
Quote:Not sure, but when I went to scoot it, I clicked it instead and wound up dead... and in Nova Praetoria without the choice to go Resistance.Huh, when did that get changed? At one point in beta, it was impossible to die in the tutorial. You'd hover around 1 HP, but never actually expire. Self Destruct couldn't kill you, either. I thought it was a good idea, myself.
Thankfully it's fixed. -
