You don't have to pick up the gun, just leave by the stairs (click on the gate).

Channel #OOC is a good place to start

    Other places of interest:

There is a section of the forums dedicated to Roleplay as well.

Change forum password from the account page? I'm just grasping straws here admittedly.

To pause a mission, get another mission of the same type. To pause side quests, get more than 3. When you are ready to come back to them, go to where ever you got the quest in the first place (faction missions can be found in the Faction HQ near your handler). One thing: When you do you'll revert to the beginning of the last tier you were on. So if you were at 4/5 you'll go back to the beginning of tier 4.

You are welcome for the assistance, and I hope you get the forum access fixed.
  4. I agree, your requirements aren't out of line for what you want to do. White's build is fairly tight and if I bring her, I'll have to drop one or two powers to do the leadership pool. I'll check a couple of my other 50s, as they might be better suited to this. On the other hand, if I don't have anything better suited, I'll bring White to help others get the badge.

As to the Achilles, I don't think White could have slotted it.
  5. Tonight Triumph joined the RHW club. Thanks to everyone that made it possible.
  6. Yay! I got the badge on -Triumph-. But I'll bring something else around the same power level to help out.
  7. Tonight I joined the club... 1,396 badges with Really Hard Way tonight on Triumph!
  8. Thanks everyone for coming out! Great Job, Triumph can finally join the RHW "succeeded" club!

    Windows 8

I don't know, I don't hold out much hope for the Windows after 8 either.

Vista is "okay", but yeah I prefer XP.
  10. While I (edit: wouldn't lead this way), you are hosting the trial so your rules.

So I will accept your offer:

    White Succubus
    Level 53 Illusion/Emp Controller
T4 Destiny choice of Barrier Core, Rebirth Core, Clarion Core, or Ageless Radial
    6 ULTIMATE Inspirations
Currently with Maneuvers, but I'll get at least one more of the other 2 leadership powers
T4 Seers Core, Polar Lights Core, or Cimeroran Core.
T4 Interface choice: Diamagnetic Radial, Reactive Radial, Cognitive Radial, Degenerative Radial.
T4 Hybrid: Control Core, Support Core, or Assault Core.
Call to Justice (hero temp power)

    I don't have Achilles Heel.

I get the "one fail out of five... two fails out of five..." stuff, and that's it. Valid game account, paid for the month, can't get on the forums with the month almost over. In the spirit of TSW, I tried to "puzzle it out" on my own, but have finally given up and emailed customer support.
You don't get automatic access to the forums. If I remember correctly, you have to go to your account page, and set up your forum account. The forum account name defaults to your account name (I'd suggest changing it). From the sound of it, you haven't set up your account yet, or given it the 30 minutes for the changes to set.

Unfortunately, we all had the mission you have to run to get to Dragon rank 2 ("Into Darkness"), which is a solo instance. Figured that we'd knock it out and go do some team stuff. Epic wrong. Based on how degraded my gear was, I died twelve times trying to beat the agent at the end, and my wife only finished the mission shortly after I did. I recognize that I've not put in many hours, to be just moving up to rank 2 after almost a month, and that I'm a frackin' noob and all that stuff and that I probably need to l2p. But that ate up over an hour of our time, and I was mad enough a couple of times that I scared my dogs. So we moved back to the main storyline we'd been doing together, and the next mission in that? Another solo instance. After about 2 hours of being logged on, on skype, and even on the same team, we had not done a single mission as a group. The occasional mandatory solo story mission is okay, but this was a terrible session and had me saying very unkind things. And it's the last group session we're going to be able to schedule before my sub expires.
You know you can pause missions, and you don't have to accept the faction rank missions right away, right? If you are to the point of the "Into Darkness", may I suggest your group do Polaris ("Dead in the Water" from the Orochi agents in the north of Kingsmouth).

Faction ranks build even while the faction missions are paused. I speak from experience because my faction rank 7 mission took me a dozen tries over the span of 10 days (I got frustrated and did other missions) and when I finally did complete it, I was almost at rank 10.

Yes, you have to be more adaptable for your power selections than in CoH. There is more freedom to make builds that can't handle some situations well.

This is my take on anything NCsoft puts out. Because I'm investing my time with a game, I don't appreciate that it will be so casually turned off.
  14. Amygdala, while I do appreciate you providing a synopsis of your character, neither Sayaki or myself are that strict. Maybe we should be, but we're not going to ask for it from others.

    Good.

The pointless debate on the moderated thread had nothing to do with TSW.
  16. (Borrowed liberally from Sayaki.)

    Hello Triumph,

On October 28, 2012, either myself or Sayaki will be running a Really Hard Way badge attempt for Triumph server. I would like to start the trial at 5pm Pacific/7pm Central/8pm Eastern. I would appreciate it if all participants would please arrive a few minutes early for invites and pre-run instructions.

I am looking for Volunteers for this now, asking that you sign up for a space in the run early if possible. Cross server participants are more than welcome. Extra damage, corruptors, and kinetics will be definitely welcomed. Please keep in mind, that even if you do not care about this badge for yourself, major damage or -resistance abilities are still useful to those who do care about gaining it and a filled team will have a better chance of victory.

The requirements for the badge are as follows:

Defeat Tyrant in the last phase/fight of Magisterium without defeating any of the Lights of the Well.

The lights of the Well can only be defeated by using the temp power: Quills of Jocas. They are one shot by this power, so I must be VERY clear to not use this power in your attack chain.

In order to win this trial, I am seeking several small things from my players. As I am very lenient, do not expect me to enforce all of them, but I do expect you to make an attempt to be ready. Remember, if for some reason, you cannot manage the recommend Incarnate Slots on time, having something is still better than having nothing.

    Required:
    1. During the trial, play, don't chat. Chatting will get you killed. Chatting will confuse other players and make people less likely to see any instructions I might give.
Chatting makes my job leading that much harder.
    2. Realizing that the above will likely not be completely respected, I will do my best to also send my instructions to the Request channel.
    3. Be a +3 lvl incarnate
    4. Have a t3 or t4 Core branch Lore pet
    5. Have Ultimate Inspirations ready to use. The more the better.
    6. Be prepared to listen and follow procedures outlined before and during the trial. I will be checking.
    7. Expect the Tyrant fight to take the whole 20 minutes. Do not get nervous and jump the gun.
    Highly recommended:
    • Have either Assault or Support Hybrid
    • Assault
    • Tactics
    • Corruptors

If you wish to Volunteer for this trial, now is the time. As said above, I plan to form this run at 5pm Pacific/7pm Central time on Sunday, October 28. Remember that space is limited, so it is on a first come, first served basis.

Another one requires you to enter in a code to activate a drone that leads you to the lore object. Think outside the box.
You mean "After defeating the section boss" and "Inputting the Code to progress". In other words look around after a section while everyone rests up.

This thread has a program that will help set the autologin files. Still the recommended way is to do it yourself, as explained up-thread. If I may ask, what is happening? Are you not getting told you are joining the channels, losing channels? You might not be set to subscribe to the channels.

I have one friend that is having issues with any channel (even general) staying joined. I've told him to /petition it, but even he has managed to do all the regular dungeons and most of the elites. I think he has asked in Agartha and used the LFG tool in the menu.

I'd imagine it is the same for both male and female. Only the player character changes in the cut scenes.

Also you can go to your account page to "upgrade" your account with more character slots... $10 USD each. Yeah, the sticker-shock got me too.

All this is very true. Though there are some rumblings that the art people are trying to find time to separate the pieces. On the other hand they aren't Dink.
