That list was accurate as of last weekend.

Loyalist and Resistance are two separate badges. I think you'd need to do at least 2 moral choices to get both.
-
Only the Avid Reader (tutorial badge) badge at this time (as long as you get the Praetoria defeat/explore badges before leaving Praetoria).

On June 30th I went to my local GameStop store. I put down a $40 deposit ($44.99 Canadian, not including tax) (Gamestop.ca product page). So silly me, I went to the store this morning expecting to get my Going Rogue box and goodies. I was politely told that "I don't know what happened, but we got a memo that shipments all across Canada have been delayed. It more than likely means that the vendor didn't produce enough product or that it got held up at the border."
They had my phone number, but didn't even bother to let me know that there was a delay. Thanks a lot. -

Quote:Thanks, and apparently I'm going to have more time to work on this as Gamestop didn't ship any Canadian Pre-Orders...Awesome guide that obviously took a lot of time to put together (not just playing and working though it, but actually organizing and writing it).
I cycled the alignment wheel 3 times on one character, and could have done more if I wanted to.Quote:I still have a question: if you are a (say) hero and then select hero missions to reaffirm your hero status, are you then "stuck" as a hero? Or can you later decide to become a vigilante (then villain, rogue, back to hero)? Can you do this cycle numerous times or just once? (not sure why you'd want to do the whole cycle numerous times on one toon, but am curious on that point)
The last official word from Positron on the subject is that groups will never go cross faction.Quote:Also, I do see the concept behind not having villain porters in hero bases (and vice versa), but isn't this only a problem for role-players? I mean I could care less if there are a bunch of "evil" porters in my hero base--it's about convenience and cutting travel time more than anything, but rp sg's may choose not to place them. As someone wrote, it would make sense to be able to place them but to only allow vills/rogues to use "evil" porters and heroes/vigilantes to use "heroic" porters. This could open a whole new avenue for base design and layout, too. Just my twenty-two cents (adjusted for inflation).
Heroes can stay true or turn vigilante, but cannot turn rogue.Quote:Snow, I thought that the progression was:
Hero <-> Vigilante <-> ROGUE <-> Villain
But what you put here seems to suggest that you go from directly from Vigilante (access to both sides) to FULL Villain (no blueside content at all) and without having to cross Rogue status. Is that correct because I didn't think it was the case previously.
Vigilantes can return to being true heroes, stay vigilantes, or turn villain. They cannot turn rogue.
Villains can stay true or turn rogue, but cannot turn vigilante.
Rogues can return to being true villains, stay rogues, or become heroes. They cannot turn vigilante.
Hero <-> Vigilante -> Villain <-> Rogue -> Hero.
There was a redname post even before beta that explained that. -

No, you don't get kicked (or lose prestige/join date) in sg or vg. You will lose Super Leader status and access to sgmode/earning prestige/the base though. You get all but the Super Leader back if you go back to the group's alignment.

Quote:I wonder if people who don't have Going Rogue can change alignment. You can get tips and earn alignment points without owning Going Rogue. I might have missed something, but I haven't seen anything that says you can't change alignment with I18 alone.I have seen an official statement that you can't change alignments with Issue 18 alone:Quote:And like I said, I haven't seen anything (official) saying that yet.
Quote:Customers who do not choose to upgrade with the Going Rogue expansion will be able to do "Tip" missions, but will not be able to switch their alignments.
As mentioned in the ViDoc videos, characters have to do a number of "Tip" missions before they can get a "Morality" mission. The "Morality" mission is the determining mission that changes your alignment, and is only available to players who purchase the Going Rogue expansion. -

Thanks for the responses.
A lot more hordelings than the hellfrost spawns in Sharkhead, and hordeling berserkers will often self-rez for a chance to get 2 credits instead of one per critter. -
Quote:The alignment switch I was talking about was only one step on the alignment wheel. Fame points start decaying as soon as you get them, the hint text is non-existent for the first hour, for 1 hour to 19 hours the hint text tells you that you have been famous for that deed from the time you've completed it, after 19 hours the hint text counts down the remaining hour. All the time the Fame Point icon is shrinking, on its journey into nothingness.if you have to wait 24 hours to do the next set, how can it be done in 22?
If you have to wait 24 hours to do the next set, and decay starts after 20 hours, you could never complete it.
Here is an example:
Keep in mind that you can have either 5-Fame Points in tips or 3 tips at any one time, whichever is less. Also note that while I am calling the fame points 1-20, it is only for descriptive purposes as you can only have 5 Fame Points at a time.
- You are a hero.
- Get 3 tip mission drops.
- Fame point 1: Complete tip mission 1, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 1 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- Fame slot 1 is filled.
- Fame point 2: Complete tip mission 2, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 2 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours. Hopefully during this mission you'll get another tip drop.
- Fame slot 2 is filled.
- Fame point 3: Complete tip mission 3, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 3 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours. Hopefully during this mission you'll get another tip drop.
- Fame slot 3 is filled.
- Fame point 4: Complete tip mission 4, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 4 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- If you still have a tip, you'll not get any more tips at this point.
- If you don't have a tip, you can get one more to do the next Fame Point.
- Fame slot 4 is filled.
- Fame point 5: Complete tip mission 5, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 5 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- At this point you'll have to wait for Fame Point 1 to be forgotten (20 hours after getting Fame Point 1) to get more tips.
- Fame slot 5 is filled.
- Wait up to 20 hours for the Fame Point 1 to expire, or even all of them (if you've done the 5 missions in under an hour). As the Fame points expire the used Fame Point slots move to the left. The right most slot is the slot that will decay the soonest. For the sake of argument, let's say that all the Fame Point slots are empty at this point.
- Get however many tip mission drops you can at this point (5-Fame Points worth, to a max of 3).
- Fame point 6: Complete tip mission 6, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 6 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- At this point you'll have to wait for Fame Point 1 to be forgotten (20 hours after getting Fame Point 1) to get another tip.
- Fame slot 1 is filled.
- Fame point 7: Complete tip mission 7, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 7 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- At this point you'll have to wait for Fame Point 2 to be forgotten (20 hours after getting Fame Point 2) to get another tip.
- Fame slot 2 is filled.
- Fame point 8: Complete tip mission 8, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 8 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- At this point you'll have to wait for Fame Point 3 to be forgotten (20 hours after getting Fame Point 3) to get another tip.
- Fame slot 3 is filled.
- Fame point 9: Complete tip mission 9, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 9 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- At this point you'll have to wait for Fame Point 4 to be forgotten (20 hours after getting Fame Point 4) to get another tip.
- Fame slot 4 is filled.
- Fame point 10: Complete tip mission 10, vigilante option.
- This will get you 1 vigilante fame point, for a total of 10 vigilante points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- At this point you'll have to wait for Fame Point 5 to be forgotten (20 hours after getting Fame Point 5) to get another alignment tip.
- Fame slot 5 is filled.
- Get a tip drop. This will be a morality mission as morality missions ignore the fame point timer.
- Complete vigilante morality mission, accept warnings.
- Congratulations, you are a vigilante. This can be done in around 22 hours (21 if you are really working on it). The Fame Point timers are still in effect for regular alignment missions.
To take it to the next alignment step (to villain) will require about 40 more hours. Head to the Rogue Isles for tips.
- Wait up to 20 hours for Fame Point 6 to expire, or even all of them (if you've done the 5 missions in under an hour). For the sake of argument, let's say that all the Fame Point slots are empty at this point.

- Fame point 11: Complete tip mission 11, villain option.
- This will get you 1 villain fame point, for a total of 1 villain points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- At this point you'll have to wait for Fame Point 7 to be forgotten (20 hours after getting Fame Point 7) to get another tip.
- Fame slot 1 is filled.
- Fame point 12: Complete tip mission 12, villain option.
- This will get you 1 villain fame point, for a total of 2 villain points.
- This fame point will decay to nothing over the next 20 hours.
- At this point you'll have to wait for Fame Point 8 to be forgotten (20 hours after getting Fame Point 8) to get another tip.

Quote:Essentially, yes. You can click on the tip again to get the complete this mission/abandon mission (you can change from hero/vigilante this way) or dismiss the tip entirely (so you can get a different tip).1. So say your a hero. When a tip first drops it is neither heroic or vigilante, you ultimatly deside that, by clicking it and following the dialogue tree to make a choice of wheather the tip will be heroic or vigilante? Once you do that, it is now a tip mission and ready to be completed?
Your progress isn't lost by switching zones.Quote:2. So in the guide it explains that if your vigilante for example and have been gathering tips in paragon city, but then zone into the rogue isles, you loose those dropped tips? But, if the tip mission was completed, and counted toward an allignment bar, the progress in that bar is not lost when you zone, yes?
Any unused tips go into escrow (you'll have to reselect the version again if you go back to the tip's side's zones), all your other missions get abandoned (you can pick them up later by returning to the contact).
No, you can hold either 3 tips for that side or 5-Fame Points (completed tips), which ever is less. This is if you are solo.Quote:3. You can hold only 3 tips in your inventory at once, right? But can complete up to 5 a day. So, im assuming you would have to complete two of those 3 stored tips, before colecting the final 2 for that day? (to make 5 total.) And, can you have more than 5 tips stored, just not completed, for the first 20 hours? For example, can I collect all 10 of my tips all at once, complete 5, and then wait the 20 hours to complete the other 5?
If you've done other players tips, you can hold up to 3 tips.
Yes. -

Quote:That is the easy way.paragon wiki says to go to st. marshall. east of the flop. none of the macrone bosses are counting towards badge.. and u need 200 kills. has anyone found an easy way to get the gangbuster badge?
However you might be targeting the wrong critters. Only the Marcone Consigliere (St. Martials), Marcone Capo (Port Oakes), and only about half of the Consigliere & Underbosses in Nerva count. -
Quote:Correct, but you could also do:Hmm, thanks for the pointers Korith. Perhaps it would just be easier to have a different key bound for each power. I am far from understanding bind files. <.<
So if I wanted to bind the numpad 0 for Fallout and numpad 1 for Rez?
/bind numpad0 powexecname fallout
/bind numpad1 powexecname mutation
Correct?
/bind numpad0 powexecname fallout
/bind shift+numpad0 powexecname mutation
This way you can instantly choose which you use by pressing/not pressing the shift key.
The quotes are sometimes needed (all the time with multiple commands), but most of the time they aren't. -
Quote:Well, technically it only takes:Ah, okay. Was just curious whether it'd be taking me roughly 3 days rather than 2 to do a full alignment switch. Thanks much for the info.
- However long it takes you get and do the first set of 5 alignment missions plus
- Twenty hours of waiting plus
- However long it takes you get and do the second set of 5 alignment missions plus
- However long it takes you get and do the morality mission.
