If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Gauntlet is doing its job well, it doesn't need to be changed.
-
This is something that will most likely never happen. You have to remember that City of Heroes has one of the few developer teams that does everything they can do to make the players happy. Our devs are very down-to-earth with us, unlike some companies where the devs are like almighty gods that can never be reached. They wouldn't go and make a ton of people mad by making costume pieces $.99 each. $4.99 is a very reasonable price for a boatload of costume pieces, plus extra emotes powers and mechanics. (By mechanics, I mean the tech pack introduced combat auras, the magic pack costume-change emotes, and the science pack body changing.)
Also, Champions Online has Jack Emmert for a producer. 'nuff said. -

Synapse (-1) He stole my AE badges! =(

My main is a Tank, and I very much appreciate Gauntlet on teams. All I need to do is rush in, taunt, then follow with whirling hands, and the whole group immediately becomes fixated on me as their target.
Like Xyzyx said, a Tank who can taunt effectively provides a 100% defense buff to everyone, because all the enemies are attacking him. It would be harder to taunt a large group of enemies without Gauntlet. -
We can stop arguing about this, because the developers have already said it's never going to happen
-
Your idea sounds... intriguing. I would very much like a voice fixer-upper for the costume creator. /signed

Issue 17: RAWR I R DINOSOAR!
-
Looking at the mission on Paragon Wiki, it says you need to rescue a Paragon Protector and lead them to a computer. Did you find a Paragon Protector in the mission?
-
Wow, excellent costumes here!
While I don't have many *uber* costumes, I've got a few decent ones.
Since I don't have a place to post costume files, I have no URL to share.
If you want the costume log, just PM me. =P -
As said before, you can change your titles again at levels 35 and 45. When you get to level 50, you can change your titles infinitely. Nifty if you decide on a different concept for your character.
Also, I've seen some pretty epic costumes around here, but Brutal_Kitty's costume pretty much takes the cake. =D
Seriously, that costume is amazing! -
That's pretty much what I do. I was invited to Issue 13 Closed Beta, and I mostly just played around with Shields and Pain Domination. My complaining about how Shields sucked must have denied me further beta invites. xD
-
Broken links, and now no new posts. Yup, the Dev Digest is broken. Someone needs to fix that, where else can I spy on everything the developers say? =P
-
I really don't like this idea. Do not want.
-
That's still really crappy damage to a 7000 HP Elite Boss. Add in the regen rate and you're doing diddly-squat to contribute to the team.
-
So, I was playing with my lowbie defender, level 8 Dark/Elec, and a Rikti Invasion happened to hit the zone I was in. So I got a team together, and we started beating up aliens. It was then I noticed something strange.
While it's perfectly understandable to see a level 50 Super Strength character doing hundreds of damage to a bomb with their attacks, my defender was only doing 8 damage. It was similar to the rikti minions after the bomb phase. The higher leveled characters were performing fine, but me and my lowbie were hardly even contributing.
So, is the GM scaling code borked? Even with the code, the enemies have a set HP amount, but a minion with 200 HP is not going to be easily taken down by a lowbie who does 8 damage per attack. I believe the code is not working correctly. The damage lowbies do to rikti is pathetic, and I hardly even feel like attacking at all, considering it's not doing anything. -
This suggestion would simply spawn a million n00bz constantly spamming "COME PVP WITH ME NUB!" over and over. Even if PvP is controlled, that doesn't mean that the players are controlled.

Real Men Wear Pink
[/ QUOTE ]
Pink isn't girly... It's just so manly that most men can't handle the epic manly-ness of it!
About the whole buff complaints... big deal. So someone hit you with a pink force field or whatever. Go into first-person view and you won't see it. -
New Animations: Ugly: Unnatural. Developer Attempt: not so good.
Great Excitement: Issue 16. Ignoring entity: New Animations.
(My failed attempt at Rikti speak. Seriously, I really do not like the new animations. Thank goodness they aren't being forced on us. I'm still excited over Issue 16 though. =P) -
I've got children to entertain/supervise for a week long camp-type event. So, I wouldn't have time to use the forums anyways.

As the title says. I can play any other mission, go to any other zone, and do pretty much anything and the game runs perfectly. Nice and smooth, no choppy movements or lag spikes. But whenever I go into a safeguard/mayhem mission, my computer suddenly goes into "U Suck" mode and everything suddenly gets really choppy and slow. I can hardly move, as the game freezes multiple times, and often run into mobs unintentionally. If I decide to exit the bank mission, everything returns to normal, and the game pretends that nothing is wrong.
What's weird is that this is a recent problem. Before, bank missions would run just fine, and there would be no problems. I haven't changed anything on my computer since then, and it just recently decided that it doesn't like bank missions.
Anybody know what's going on? I can't enjoy the destruction of mayhem missions, or the heroic action of safeguard missions anymore. -
Wasn't the midnight visage power bugged? Or did they fix that just now?

As far as I know, it hasn't been confirmed yet, but it seems nearly certain that we will be getting 2 brand new powersets, dual pistols (blast set) and demon summoning (mastermind primary).
[/ QUOTE ]
Quoted from Positron in the latest Dev Diary, talking about the making of the going rogue characters. (Maelstrom and Desdemona)
[ QUOTE ]
...So that meant we needed a Hero-gone-bad and a Villain-gone-good. Looking back into my stable of old RPG super-heroes I remembered a gun wielding vigilante I used to play called Maelstrom. Since we really wanted to get a dual pistols Powerset into Going Rogue I thought that he would be a great guy to dust off and bring to life in the City of Heroes universe.
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
That took care of our vigilante Hero, but I still needed a redeeming Villain. I looked to the other powerset we wanted to put into Going Rogue, Demon Summoning. This was a Mastermind set, so it was already exclusive to villains, making it obvious that whoever we came up with was going to be a demon summoner.

Just so I don't flog any dead horses with suggestions, please remind me the stuff that's on the drawing board/planning stages/next wave of Beta updates...
I heard, for example, that we'll be able to Rent Apartments in the future... what else is acoming...?

Welcome to the Suggestions forum, what is your suggestion? -
I know what you're thinking, and before you ask, NONE of these suggestions are for reducing/killing farming (Although there is nothing I'd like to see more than that) These are simply some QoL suggestions, and suggestions for more tools for our creative players to use in story telling. So without further ado, lets begin.
1) Two seperate Atlas Park Maps.
---------------------------------
What do I mean by this? Well, right now if you use the regular Atlas Park map for your mission (the one with the statue of Atlas) there are civilians walking around, and cars driving by. This might make sense for some missions, but for others it doesn't. For example, my story arc contains a boss fight in Atlas Park, sort of like a showdown. It doesn't make any sense to have a full-blown battle in Atlas, and have civilians walking around like nothing's happening.
There should be two different versions of Atlas, one with and without the civilians and cars moving around. speaking of civilians, that brings me to my next suggestion.
---------------------------------
2) Have a "Civilians running in fear" option for missions.
---------------------------------
If you play some of the dev created content, you will come across missions with a scenario of the villains suddenly arriving on the premises, and holding people hostage. In these cases, throughout the map, civilian NPCs will run around the map with their arms flailing widly in the air. This is not possible to create within the AE, and even though it doesn't do much, it really sets the atmosphere of a story.
---------------------------------
3) Add "Unaware" and "Aware" dialog options for patrols.
---------------------------------
Example, Patrol minion A says "Man, I really hope that Captain Awesome doesn't find us!" while Patrol minion B says "Don't worry, Captain Awesome will never find our secret base!" Then, upon aggro, minion B says "Looks like I spoke too soon! It's Captain Awesome!"
This does happen in dev created missions, but is currently impossible with AE. Adding "Unaware" and "Aware" dialog for patrols would be really neat.
---------------------------------
4) Have an option to set two enemy groups for one mission.
---------------------------------
The best example of this would be the Positron Task Force. The final mission contains three groups altogether, Clockwork, Circle of Thorns, and Vahzilok. While three may take up more space on the arc file, I think two should be enough. The mission scenario could be that two groups are working together to stop you, or something to that effect.
---------------------------------
Anyways, those are my suggestions. I'm pretty sure I had more, but I can't remember them now. =P I'll post them later if I remember.
