On second thought, changing my position over the team aspect of TFs/SFs, no I dont think this is good even if it fixes people handling TF's Solo. Whats wrong with that? Some people don't have a regular SG crew, and most Pugs will not play a TF an hour at a time. If a player wants a chance a Pool C drop, and mind you most times its not a good drop, now they have no choice but be subject to the whims or other players. The most solid block of time I have to play is at night, 12am on and usually both work days. Its hard finding people who would want to play through a TF. Its hard enough at times getting people to just start it as fillers. Yes some of them I can still do Solo but now the time commitment has shot up.

To have such a change happen and announce it afterwards is a diservice. Things get lost in the shuffle so it can be forgiven, but something like this should have shown up on test first.

Add all that and the fact now that players who do this legit may also be penalized because some teamates decide to drop when it might get difficult or long. Now all you will have is people doing the short TFs more and more while only hungry badgers and story nuts do the longer ones, and now harder because the player base is thinned out by the ones doing the shorter ones.

Lastly how does this benifit anything? Keeping people from Farming Recipes? Its still going to happen, especially by the RMT who will create diedicated, specialized teams just for that purpose. The villain market will most likely suffer, even with it already being weaker, and in the end it will not change how broken Pool C drops are anyways, with rewards coming that that specific player cant even use (Confuse drops for Kheldians? Thanks for the hours Positron TF).

This was a lousy fix...

I just wish that sicne were paying for it, they could have gotten it in working fine or made it mroe customizable. The Inside of the Hair/Veil thing you can't color. The hair itself is the color of the veil. The Bridal pattern top you can have two different colors, which is kind of sad because you have this beautiful pattern you can highlight to match the skirt that you can.

If thats all to be changed, well i wish they could have gotten it right from the get go.

Since the last few DXP I raised high level charcters to 50, I decided to be different this time and raise some lowbies that I was interested in.

Cor Fire/Rad: From Lv 11-18
Troller Fire/Kin: From Lv 24-28
Troller Ill/Emp: From Lv 32-33
Sta Claw/Dark: From Lv 16-20

Along with raising a few of my pals characters. it was funny I was remarking to a pal, I was feeling a little burnt out before DXP and wasn't even sure I'd be able to play during it, but now afterwards I cant help but want to keep jumping on.

Let me join the chorus of it seems a bit pricey. I mean with GvE you get 2 very useful powers that have really changed the way I play. With this, I get some costumes and emotes? This wouldn't even be a question if it ran for 4.99 or maybe 20$ with a months play, but just this.

I might buy it for one account, but its dicey for me.

One free Server Transfer token by acount would be cool

This is why I play on several Servers. I like Freedom and definitly enjoy that a lot of people play there, but at the same time mulitple Servers gives me a lot of space for characters and makes sure that if one or two are down, I still get to play. Of course my Global Pals have thinned...

I just dont think giving Red side more is feasible at this point. I like the villain AT's more (though I am a self professed unabashed Kheld lover) but I do know the game came out a year and a half after CoH did. That means CoH had total attention for at least a year more. You cant make that gap up. And now since there is no division of labor, both games are made and run by the same people, it would be unrealistic to keep the game going on anything other then a 50/50 split. I do see some exception, like a villain Epic, but they will be few and far between. Yes wish and hope for more, but all in all don't feel shunned because the reality doesn;t match to it. I mean Im a good looking, smart guy, but that doesn't mean I should expect Kate Winslett to fall at my feet in love, reality keeps her away from me...Heh.

I can get behind this. Not that many Zones, but the get away from the Destined One, and more to the point, an Arachnos mindset. I like Arachnos, but it would be refreshing to work for other organizations, or day I say it, be villainous in your own right.

Its true, $40 dollars isn't so much even if you did it for several accounts. Its not about the money. Its more about if they want to give back and thank the customers, thank me in a way that does something for me. Give back to the customer base that gave most. This thank you does absolutely nothing for me. So be it though, I will accept it and move on. I would have left it at what i said awhile ago, I just got upset of the constant insults of me being cheap or whining is all.

No, what I’m saying is I don’t want someone getting the EXACT thing I paid for free. I don’t want compensation. Hear me out again, I don’t mind the game and SOME of its features being available, just not the extra character Slots that were paid for. Playstation may go for cheaper after release, but often that promotion is missing something the people who paid full charge got. Maybe the game that came with it, maybe one controller less and so forth. Not a huge sacrifice

Not compensation, again I just don’t want EVERYTHING I did pay for to be absolutely free to everyone. I understand this may be the business practice other companies use, but I’m not playing the games of other companies. I am expressing an opinion that I am now gathering goes against popular opinion. Those getting 'hooked up' with the other side don't get anything else that came with the purchase of hte other sid via retail (GvE goodies, free month play, access prior to today, etc.) It might be a nice gesture by NCSoft to credit in free game time another month or so for those who had one side for a while and just recently (past month at most) added the other side, but its only a nice gesture not a requirement. The EULA and such even states such things about service availability, price changes, content changes, etc. Also fee lucky you're not just getting into EQ2 without checking up on things, the new expansion is going to includeall the prior expansions and adventure packs for one 'low' price. Someone who wanted to play and decided to buy them all seperately before knowing about something coming out in under a month (suppsedly) would be out even more than the 20-30$ paid by someone here (after all EQ2 has 3 previous expansions nad 3 adventure packs, the lowest cost of one of those being 10$).

I'm not disagreeing with you on the give them the freebie, making it a gain for the community. But why also give them the thing we did buy along with the game, that is the 4 extra slots per Server. Can we, who paid, at least get that as an exclusive? I'm just not jibing with the idea of freebies for something the rest of us paid for without some kind of merit to those that bought the game. Two extra slots for those who did pay wouldn’t be so ground breaking or just leaving just us the 12 slots would be fair. The rest of the thank you from the game is for general community but barely gives true thanks to those who did give the most for the experience.

I don't want money. Obviously if I bought as many accounts and pay monthly I don't need it. Yes they could have made these changes, not said thank you and moved on. But they did, and they obviously wanted to give back. I appreciate it, I honestly do. But the way they chose to give back does nothing for me. It gives back most to those people who gave least to this game, not the people who did. All I ask is that the people who did buy both games, have 12 slots per server on their account keep them and those that didn't buy both games stick with their 8. If in the event they get 12 slots then the people who did buy both games get maybe 2 additional. The first doesn't do anything in addition for me, it just doesn't reward those who spent least. The second gives me something tangible. Agree or disagree, just don't insult me.

There it goes again. Have to be nasty just becuase someone is expressing an opinion contrary to your own. Your analogy isn;t the same thing. The shirt vendor doesn't want to thank me for being a long time buyer but the game does. This thank you though does nothing for me personally, despite them giving something for free that I've had to buy 4 times on 4 accounts to get. There is a difference.

Also I'm not trying to get you to change your opinion. But please no reason to denigrate mine. I do have a problem, I am expressing my problem and that is all. Do I expect to really be heard by the company and its representatives. NO. But if I voice my views do I really need the people who I play with in this game and who share my mutual enoyment of it to put me down. I've skipped around pages since this has become 37 long but I'm getting the gist of it. The only thing I'm unclear of does this mean people who had only one version, either CoH or CoV, do they get 12 slots for characters now or stay with 8?

And since I am one of the dissenters sharing a point of veiw of feeling just the slightest bit gipped, let me say that those against this view are being a bit harsh by telling us to stop complaining, whining and shut up. That's not how it works when a customer is expressing concern over something they've invested money and time in. So please disagree but don't tell people to shut up and stop whining. It belittles grown people.

Anyways I feel that not monetary compensation, but something should be given to those who did buy both games. I understand the notion that somethings do devalue as time goes on so I wouldn't expect to have money returned to me, but if you want to thank a customer you do it by at least applying something that might be useful to them individually. Debt amnesty: I don't need, just playing the game fixes that. SG prestige: Nice but what if I don't join SG's, this is more a shared reward and doesn't tie into my buying both CoH & CoV. If my account remains with 12 slots a server and the people who didn't buy both games remain 8, I could accept that. It's not a reward for me, but it does show to me that my buying both games means I spent the extra money for something.

I bought 4 accounts for this game, 2 for friends and 2 for myself. Each account I bought both CoH and CoV at I'll say 30$ each (wasnt the case but Ill be polite). Just giving this option to people who own only one of the games (regardless if they are a minority) kind of insults me and what I spent to be able to have all options available to me and my friends for this game. And again disagree with me, I have no problems about that, but telling me and others to shut up or stop whining is just as insulting.

Earnesto Hess is an awesome TF that does things that is not usually in the game. And the story is short, max two hours. Its a shame that the contact has to be unlocked but its loads fun.

Now as for buying accounts. I know of a site or two that allows you to customize a toon you want at 50 for about 300$. So a popular toon like a Scrapper or Tanker at 50 with a lot of Vet badges, influence and maybe even a SG and base to boot Im sure could net $500. But why in the world would you pay for something like that. Kind of defeats the purpose of actually playing. But hey, if you got money to burn whatever, spend it and play for Im sure the short time they will before they get bored.

Armeggedon Robo/Bubble/Mu. Did a while ago.

Well I understand the playerbase want angle on the debate, but I do have to counter with the notion that it should also stay true to the theme of the game. Yes there are weapon weilding characters in comics, but they are in the minority. The game represents this with Braodsword/Katana/Ninja/Mace/Axe/Claws and such. If anything they might be missing a hammer, shield and maybe a staff. But another sword? I'll use the set anyways, like I try most sets anyways, but I got to admit at least for my play experience I really stay away from the weapon Sets and go for the Powered ones.

I do agree with the idea of getting something for teaming up with other Khelds, otherwise it seems to advocate that people using these ATs should not team together.

As for replacing Glint Eye or Gleam Blast for another melee attack, I dont know if the damage is subpar and all, but I would rather have it upped then replaced with another melee attack.

My only current problem with the new content is player related, not system. I worked hard to level my PB to 35 to fight his right alien enemies, but all I see are 50's getting together without the want to even Sk/Lk others...sigh. I have 3 50s myself, but Ill break them out later.

Heh, so true...My only argument to this would be the ecitement I felt the first time I achived a Travel Power...Of course now I pushing along the dead time till my latest Alt gets one.

As for One Server to bind us all, I wouldn't necessarily push for that, but maybe one or two less. I like to play with people...

Im cool with new content, after all I have a few toons who will be approaching those level ranges. But I have to say what Ive really been wanting is new Sets and the Villain ATs. Ive tried nearly every set in the game until at least 10lv, and I so badly want to have an archnemesis for my PB. I just hope I dont have to wait until I12 for those things.

But Champion BMT is the main, most used right? Im spread out on servers, and with a 5 limit its really tight.

Yeah, i wish more servers would do the same in combining badges, monsters and tfs. While Im at it, I wish we were allowed to save more then 5 channels. Oh well.
