    But the toughness is also related to the levelshift, majority just hit +1, few maybe +2, but once the bulk gets to +2/+3, things will get alot easier. Eventualy it will hit status 'farmable' and we have yet another 'this was supposed to be hard, but we farm it'.
  2. In the years i've around, i learned that 'perfect sence' issues might not always be that obvious within the development of CoH.
  3. Is there any incarnate ability that matches AR or Dual pistol? My AR/ice basicly focus on AR only (only clickies and toggles from /ice), so i have my weapon drawn all the time. The APP matches (munition) my gun very nice, but as far i see there is no 'weapon based' incarnate ability?

    That isnt the question, i know i can create new toons on any given servers.

    Example: If i have a toon on Defiant, can i transfer this one to Freedom?

    Current EU-US transfers are not allowed as it involve account-transfer (but it was possible back in the old days), but i want to know if this is possible within a account after the merge.
  6. I would suggest him to play WoW for a month or so, doing PUGs there.. you basicly begging to come back to CoX and do PUG's there.

    Doing Trials quite often, mostly being the only /thermal around, majority of the time i'm buffing up people with the 2 shields, keep track wich are fading. I would glady pay a base 75% end usage to give a 20/30 yrd aoe shield buff (only the resist ones, mez/forge i dont mind).

    The minor problem would be in a death of a teammember and to rebuff him, but by adding this sort of feature.. i'm happy to re-apply that AoE buff again.

    But isnt that with every AT? Defenders (well, some) can ditch out nice damage and tankers go down faster in Trials then my avarage survival against a +1 boss as blaster.

    Even with IO's, my AR blaster is totaly focused on procs and recharge, hardly anything for survival. Its a choice, and even with IO's, i'm squishy :P

Personaly i would rather see a rework of exsisting sets, or more customisation to the powers (i serious HATE the elec hold animation, i rather have the Patron one that blaster has), alternate version for the 'weapon powers' in Ice and Fire sets. Along with weaponsets being able to cast their other side without redrawing or better suiting patrons for weapon sets. (like blaster has an AR version, but has no dual pistol or arrow version).

    And im not gonna mention the AI of MM pe.. ok i did..
  11. Had a ticket running at support, they told me they dont know and this 'question' should be posted on the forums. So i gues a post in the Dev corner might give the exact answer in the possibility of transfers between EU and US servers.

    The core nature of the blaster remains squishy. That you remove this by a trashload of IO's and bonus, doesnt change the core of the blaster. Most of my blasters have no shiny IO's, only have the patron pool shield and they are still squishy.

    And maybe some day, they will allow majority of powers to be cast with your weapon active. You can trow a 'magic thingie' holding your weapon, but the same animation to cast a fiery ring.. impossible. You can use buildup from your 'weapon set' with a gun, but cant use the same power from set that doesnt have a weapon.

  15. But to what level they want to keep this as a serious weakness? Majority of mobs in the trial have pretty heavy AoE damage, quite some more that i've seen in other TF's or sortlike.

    True, would be nice that AI would be a bit better, but i think they pretty ran into the limit of what they can do to the AI of pets (alike melee heroes in GW).
  16. I somehow very enjoy the new trials, but for a very different reason.

    I have several MM's, thugs, mercs, necro at 50, the rest at somewhat lower.

    From the very first day of my MM's, i really hated my Mercs. The way slower summoning (both summon as upgrades), the insane ammount of (useless) DoT's and the mez-abilities of the seals are a plain joke.

    However, from the 3 50's i've ran, they suddenly turn out to be the most 'safe' MM to play. The trials have a huge ammount of AoE damage, as long the AI wont get retarted, my Mercs stay out of the damage for quite some time. Actualy for the first time ever, on either of my MM's, i had a smile while playing Mercs.

    But on paper, i see Bots and Thugs doing equal if not better then Mercs, specialy bots being ranged and have -regen. My Thug MM had a bad run (we only had 9 players), so they were falling pretty much nonstop.

    But everything that goes melee, those pets are dead. They really should pick up WoW's style of 90% AOE damage reduction, no freaking way they can survive AoE blows from +4-+6 mobs (lowest pet is afaik 48).

    My /traps had best benefit overal, eventualy i just ran around debuffing with the /trap abilities, re-summon cannon-fodder on the go.

  18. Nice one there Jak My idea goes exactly for that defense, you got some lovely numbers (i also have the armors and hover for the LotG slots - outside teleport i want to fly :P ).

    Gaps between my subs vary from a day upto 2 weeks, mostly related waiting for reply from support and Paypal (as i cant make paypal payments), i highly doubt they will give me the reward anyway.
  20. So i soon can finaly get my alpha slot, only a few more mats to go and i have to make the choice. As damage aint my primairy reason, Musculature is not really an option.

    Im rolling a perma-granite with IO'ed 61.25% recharge bonus. Solo/small party i run the 3 armors (SL, E/NE, Psi ones), that work pretty well. Although i would still need 2 more steps untill a level shift, i want to make the right choice from the start and not wasting mats to recreate to another Alpha set.

    So my thoughts:

    Cardiac
    Gives initialy a nice endurance reduction, since not all sets give ED-capped EndRed, it will give 'best bang for the bucks'. However, i hardly have end issues (3 toggles) and the later range increase is kinda useless (apart from taunt). The resist might nearly cap out my non-SL granite resistance. The final part (fear, imm, sleep) is pretty much useless.

    Nerve
    Accuracy is always good. Although most my powers have 60-80% enh-bonus already, hitting +4 still can be tricky (taunt doesnt need hit anyway). The 2nd bonus is my primairy goal, extra defence. As my Granite toggle has no maxed defense, this would boost my defense considerable. Hold then again is kinda useless, final 3 only taunt is nice (fly, confuse).

    Spiritual
    Primairy reason, recharge. I already have 61.25% from IO's, pushing the recharge even further per power would give nice effect, additional the healing for regen (rooted, health, EE). Disorient is less usefull as i dont have handclap, while the last 3 dont give much either (slow, tohit, jump - i cant even jump).

    What would be the best choice? I personaly tend to go Cardiac, but extra defense from Nerve is nice to have too. Spiritual gives 2 nice bonus, recharge and heal.
  21. I assume you pick tough/weave for outside Granite tanking?

    If you want to run 'tiny' missions outside granite, i would pick the normal armors instead of tough/weave. Same goes for maneuvers. If you instead pick the 3 defense armors you might be off better and you can slot those also for LotG's.

    Although i run a perma-granite, i have the 3 defense armors to solo stuff and for the LotG's. The combination and slotting will give you 1 build that goes around pretty good.
  22. The everlasting perma vs 'stone' discussion will never go away, i've always been a perma and as long they never change the power.. i will remain one.
  23. Same here, initialy i just started walking, but rest of the team already went way faster. Then went to the teleport methode, got stuck only 2 rooms later and totaly lost my way out. And getting feared on pretty much every corner
  24. I've tanked it twice, first time we only got 1 guard down, 2nd attempt we went wrong on the portals (only had 3 temps from the run, then spawns overwhelmed us very fast). The run was the hardest part, we seperated very fast and keeping mobs busy while people could pass was doable, untill those psi-mobs kicked in (fear and heavy psi dmg..).

    Perma granite, going cap SL/85%ish all except toxic/psi, the 'trash mobs' are no problem most of the time. Once those energy melee dudes build up fury they start to hit quite hard (had a few blows at 250ish dmg), but the main issue remains the psi mobs.

    Although the trashpacks have 2 max, once they portals start spawning, having 3 on you basicly means death. For a granite majority of the blows are quite doable, but the psi mobs are your real problem. Maybe next time i pop a bunch of purples or orange (since quite some mobs do heavy defense debuff), i probably survive a bit easier.

    Sidenote, i'm still 50, not 50+1 or anywhere near +2.
  25. To add on the granite or not, doing the Trial yesterday, there you have serious no chance running outside Granite. Biggest issue there are the psi mobs, wich u could counter with your normal armors but all the SL/E damage comming in, but you have no where near the defenses to take such beating (apart the fact psi mobs also do fear).

    Additionaly, rooted is one of the worst mez-toggles around, accidently using any power that removes rooted and you're fooked.
