That is indeed a very interesting question. In the old days i did quite a lot of events for the new players, from basic stuff as 'find me at the metro' or 'get me a lvl5 accuracy enhancement', to specific tutorials on AT's and specific sets (as i have tons of characters) and give them a reward for such.

I wanted to bring back my 'my question your reward' back, i ask a random question about CoX, correct and they get money, or they can 'double it' by asking for a harder question (wich goes up to gamemechanics and combatsystems).

The help channel is getting flood already by massive discussions about basicly anything (people that lost their IO usage, WoW is better etc etc), i believe the 'helper' and 'i need help' titles are not really working ingame.

My toon is running close perma-hasten, the recharge of Spring Attack really aint that bad and Fury boost the damage pretty sweet. Its a pool power, not a 'core' power, it should be somewhat gimped compared to the primairy/secondairy powers.

I see a difference between weekly maintenance, emergency fix and these so called 'scheduled downtimes'. Weekly maintenance is mentioned already on the site and are that commonly done i never seen anyone really have issues with those, emergency fixes announced ingame and last quite short to not bother about.

As for the 'scheduled' downtime, a day prior the downtime (or in several cases a few hours if you take 'sleep' in consideration) doesnt really feel like a 'scheduled' but more like a waking up and thinking about things u gonna do this day. If my timezone is set correctly on this board, the downtime of today was posted 22.00 lastnight, a noticed that in 14,5 hours later the game will go down for a considerable long time. The 22nd downtime was done about 17 hours prior the shutdown. Add up the 'nighttime' of EU (wich is kinda playtime on NA/US), thats not really a 'in advance' notice.

You cant really tell me that they didnt know that today downtime wasnt know prior today, or even bother to write down a 'possible' downtime for continues serverupgrade and movement. I gues if they should have told us 2 weeks ago there will be alot of downtime due transfer and upgrades, people would have been pissed and mad, but it would made each 'daily downtime' a bit easier to cope with. Specialy if they already said these downtimes will cover EU primetime/daytime mostly.

And thats exactly what the mods/devs/whatever's are hoping for.

People express their thoughts/complaints/feelings, eventualy the server goes back up and nobody even cares anymore, since majority of US people sleeping anyway during the time we are very unhappy, 'nobody cares'.

That is, untill the next downtime.

As long i stay within the rules of the forum, i am free to say whatever i want. I was not refering to the 'US law' (EU version is somewhat different though), but the generic freedom of speech on this forum, within the rules of the forum.

Perspective, does that include comparing your life with perhaps 3rd world people or homeless people? So rich people should never complain about poor service they get at their regular 5 star hotel, nor can factoryworkers for being underpaid because there are people that dont even have a job?

So if your new mobile phone reboots every day, you never go back to the shop, because you feel you have the privilege of actualy having a mobile phone thus you shouldnt complain about this?

Sorry but the leg has been very annoying the past few weeks, mapserver and rubberbanding, leg got worse. Even after several downtimes, leg still was around, even on empty servers like Defiant.

So i want no more legs!

Personaly, not in a freaking livetime i would ever buy that IO, i rather grab 37.5% recharge and pop a purple once in a while.

The major difference, EU is part of the 'officialy supported' regions, where Oceania is still 'you got acces', alike the Asian people that moved from CoH Asia (who share mostly Australian timezone). Thats quite a difference.

Never the less, its hitting basicly everyone outside US timezones.
