There is a known crashing issue with the recent Radeon cards.
Some people get it fix by reverting to 11.4 like you did, but it doesn't seem to work for you.
Other turn down Shadow, or even the whole ultramode to make it better.
Anyway, NCSoft is working with AMD to fix this problem.
So, i'd recommend trying to lower the Ultramode settings, and see if it works for you.
Also, wait for the next patch and AMD drivers which should be out this week.
I hope you stay with the rest of us, the game is worth the waiting for the crash issue to be fixed.

When you went back to the 11.4 driver, did you run a program like Driver Sweeper after uninstalling the drivers you had and before installing the 11.4 drivers?
Driver uninstallers often leave quite a few files and other bits behind. If some of those files have the same name as files in the older driver, the computer will keep the newer version of the file when you install the older drivers. This can make it seem as if you have installed the older drivers and that they are having the same problems as the newer drivers.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Almost sure I did, but I just went back and did a fresh install, about to check it out now.
This is my version it shows 8.841.0.0
On a side note, it's really sad that in order to get the game to work with an ATI card you have to use a driver 4 updates old.
I sure hope this gets fixed before Freedom goes global. Otherwise you're going to have a lot of new folks getting ticked that they can't play using their newer card and updated drivers (something that's preached as a 'must' for this type of game).
A lot of the newbs will have no clue to come to this forum to find out how to 'fix' the problem.

Yea and they can't even ask cause they don't have access, i believe it did not work for me so lets hope.
Today AMD released special beta drivers for BF3, the 11.10 beta, they also are still crashing the client. As Ati/catalyst has a inbuild updater, i doubt anyone using the update is still running 11.4 and will cause quite some issues when more free players join.
Still no news about this?

Anyone used those new beta drivers yet, and know if they work? Are they on the site?

I saw some encouraging posts about the 11.9 drivers - not the beta, but the official release (from today) in the forum.
People who used to have problems seem to have been able to play 1 hour of back to back to back trials without any crash.
It needs more testing, but it's encouraging.

I've been looking and looking for a solution for my graphic glitch, I solved one problem by going with 11.4 driver, but now it crashes. I'm on a 32-bit win 7.
ATI Radeon HD 6900 Series.
Is there anyone out there that has the same series and recommend a stable driver, I really enjoy this game and would love to play it.
