Back before Boomtown got bombed, Back Alley Brawler beat Babbage with a baseball bat

Any Scrapper secondary besides /Shield and /Invuln, Luminous/Umbral Blast, Energy Blast, Radiation Blast

Quote:I think PA is unaffected by the BU proc buffA great use for that Soulbound Dam/Rech is in Phantom Army. My preferred slotting is 4 Expediant Reinforcement, leaving out the Dam/End and the Resistance proc, and replacing that with the Soulbound Dam/Rech and the Chance for Build Up proc. It will cost a bit to get the Chance for Build Up proc, but the Pet Purples are cheaper than almost all the others.

Yes, Acro will protect you from a mag 3 hold in PvE

Quote:Much like the WP shields won't keep you alive by themselves (and neither will RttC by itself), it's the combination of the two that allow you to survive difficult encounters. Same thing happens with /Elec, the shields won't keep you alive by themselves, but when combined with Power Sink (and Lightning Field and Ball Lightning) you can bottom out the mobs endurance, and while you cannot shutdown their recovery, you do prevent them from using their big hitters. And then there is Energize to heal the damage taken, but I see the two being just as important in survivabilityI dunno. From my experiences with my Elec/Nrg Blaster (and on my Elec Tanker) that is actually built to drain end, end draining isn't really a reliable method of increasing your survivability. It can be potent, but it's not particularly reliable, even less so than +def, especially against higher level enemies. I just don't really see it contributing as much as the other more standard powers within the set.

Quote:Tanker =/= ScrapperHaving played entirely through Elec/* on a Tanker, I can say that, honestly, Power Sink isn't really one of your main survival tools. What survivability it does contribute is largely unreliable because of the nature of end drain and recovery debuffs, especially when you consider that Stalkers don't have Lightning Field's continual -end to help with keeping targets' blue bars empty. I'd see Energize and the 3 main shields as your main survival tools whereas Power Sink, Grounded, and Power Surge mostly fulfill secondary survivability rolls that are largely optional. This isn't to say that I don't think that Power Sink should be considered optional except in extreme cases in which endurance is already solved (in the same way that I consider Consume and Dark Consumption to be "optional").
I too have an Electric Tanker and she's nearly unkillable without having to spam Power Sink. My Electric Brute on the other hand, sees a great increase in survivability when I spam Power Sink compared to when I do not. Based on my experience I would assume it would be similar on a Scrapper -
Quote:Incorrect.Short answer, no.
Longer answer, still no. Procs have a set effectiveness that's independent of other enhancements or archetypes. Damage procs will deal increased damage as you gain levels, but endurance and health procs will always grant same results {health, in this case, scaling to a portion of your maximum HP}.
You can put a Regenerative Tissue proc in Physical Perfection and slot it for heal, that will increase the regeneration provided by the proc.
You can also put a Miracle proc in Physical Perfection and slot it for endmod, that will increase the recovery provided by the proc -
Certain key missions are flagged as undroppable, without obeying any specific patterns or rules.
I just soloed this mission with my Brute and the Water Spouts were indeed a royal PITA, but once you learn to dodge them it's just a matter of being able to defeat the AVs

Except you get the patron badge from Mako after defeating Ace McKnight, which is about 6 or 7 missions before this one

Power boost doesn't affect 'real' pets (like Acid Mortar, Seeker Drones and FFG). It does affect the slow from Caltrops, and the hold from PGT
-
Skipping Power Sink on /Elec is akin to skipping RttC on /WP. You don't skip one of your main survival tools.
Edit: then again you're a Stalker, and resistance sets are lulsy on Stalkers either way. -
Some sets, such as Super Strength and Fiery Melee have great potential to become decent damage dealers (both ST and AoE), especially if paired with offensive primaries such as Shield Defense and Fire Aura
-
Blood Mandate Acc/Dam and Dam/End
Brilliant Leadership Acc/Dam and Dam/End
2 generic level 50 defense IOs -
And then you get hit with an AoE defense debuff and die.
-
Crimson doesn't have higher than standard boss immobilize protection. A well-slotted patron immobilize should do the trick
-

It doesn't happen to Tankers or Brutes because their damage auras have a taunt component, and it also doesn't happen to /Invuln or /Shield Scrappers because those sets have taunt auras. I rolled a Fire/Shield Scrapper and it might just be the first Scrapper that I actually like
