Tell that to the youngsters today and they won't believe you
-
There's actually a dominant survival trait in action for people who are 'pretty' (This doesn't mean attractiveness; small areas of 'oddness' actually work in people's favour by triggering the memory).
Trust is built up by how comfortable people feel around each other; a situation that's helped by the other person being attractive towards you. Whilst collosal chest/s (male/female) do draw the eyes, it's primarily used as a symbol of superiority rather than a measure of attractiveness.
As FFM/Max said, actual body measurements of that sort would cause crippling pain; but they are meant to be the Ubermensch.
This is hardly a new idea though, Robert Louis Stevenson wrote quite a famous novel called Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; but the main focus is that there were NO physical changes mentioned between the personalities. It was just the demeanour and stance.
Even Oprah Winfrey etc. have latched onto this, put a man in a suit/uniform and his attractiveness doubles.
It does work in reverse though. If you're too 'comfortable' to be with, then false accusations about your lack of brains/lack of morals/gender identity will get slung about. -
You just want K-9
Seriously though, would the site of something off Robot Wars really fill you with fear? -

There's even been cases of fully-undressed characters of both sexes in mainstream comics. I'm not too sure about in-game, though Silver Weasel leaves little to the imagination.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's actually three very good reasons for Weasel wearing what he does.
1) He's a human faerie. Faeries wear practically nothing. No point.
2) Turning invisible or phase shifting is a LOT easier if you don't have much clothing. No voluminous fabrics to contend with, all part of the Kirlian aura.
3) He lived in Russia and has a self-heat spell up as standard. Siberian Winters get VERY cold.
As for the male/female divide, it's exactly the same as any other divide; just because a population is made of a certain demographic doesn't mean that any sub-set should contain the same percentages.
Even if it does, the archetypal male will want to be adored/feared due to their exploits, the female for their self.
Hence, stereotypically, Men fight crime/law, Women look stunning; No matter what their detective powers/beauty actually is. It's biological.
Don't believe me? Visit any nightclub. Superpowers, canonically, often develop just at that height of adolescence.
As that's the most often visited route; take a look at Posh/Beckham.
Posh's career is laughed at, but her fashion is taken seriously.
Beckham's fashion is laughed at, but his career is taken seriously.
To break that route takes a LOT of effort, constantly proving you're not a stereotype until it takes up more time rebelling than actually doing what you're supposed to do. -

What's the point of a stealth-based assassin if you can see him coming half a zone away?
[/ QUOTE ]
Some might say the same about a Stealth based hero. There are a couple of really good Stalkers that rarely use Hide. -
MMMmmmmm Nukes.
Be careful though; most Nukes seem to suffer from 'Missing the Barn' at times; where even with massive ACC bonuses; they sometimes miss everything.
They also have no Z axis component, so hitting them when above/below opponents will auto-miss. -
Robot/Dark you say?
Dusk/Dreary/Gloom
Eclipse/Twilight
Blackout -
I'm sorry?
Paranoia 'scenario'?
You mean you let them get past the briefing room? -
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, she said the word that means DEATH to all proper roleplayers!!
Hi, I'm a level 15 Professor/Judge/Assassin/Paladin/Stalker... -
I loathed Warhammer. Felt more like writing PASCAL; but I'm not into the really gloomy games.
Judge Dredd had that stupid character creation thing of 2d10+20 for most %skills.
Let's see, you're driving down the Megaway and a truck moves out in front of you. Roll DS on 100.
2/3 of the party wipes.
"I click on my autodrive on the Lawmaster!"
1/3 of the party still wipes. -
Try Rolemaster
In the add on supplements there's a character class called the Midwife, and the resultant critical failure chart on Giving Birth....
For sheer tableness, it has to be Phoenix Command.

At Contact range, the BC can be calculated using this formula:
BC = (87 × Mass × Effectiveness) 90
BC is the Base Concussion, while Mass is the weight of explosives in the grenade, in grams, and Effectiveness is a value based on the type of explosive used in the grenade. The table at right has those values for common types of explosive.
Example: a 4-pound TNT charge weighs 4 ÷ 2.2 = 1.818 kg, or 1,818 g. Its BC is calculated as (87 × 1,818 × 1.00) 90 = 158,076. This is then multiplied by 1 + (1.818 ÷ 5) = 1 + 0.3636 = 1.364, making it 215,552. For ease, that's rounded off to a BC of 22T.

That's 22,000 hitpoints of damage, to be shared equally betwen the 100 hitlocations. -
I have a d2,d4,d6,d7,d8,d10,d12,d30,d100 within easy reach
I won't list my RPG's as a post can't go over a page -
I've thrown a Granite Tanker across a room. I'm happy

Trash talk doesn't need to contain profanity anyway. I'm sure Mr. Normal can condemn your actions against him perfectly well without the language of the gutter.
Makes me a prime target in any match; but as you're battling through my Deathstar protection grid; guess who's forgotten about the Stalkers -

Very niceit's been a while since we've had one of your parodies.

Mostly we play with Homebrew though, I've already wrote a Half-Life and a Blake's 7 adventure using Call of Cthulu. -
It depends.
A Blastermind may need stamina or conserve if they're attacking continually.
Normal MM's don't really need it; but if you're PvP'ing, it may be necessary to get or carry a lot of Blues. -

All original submissions first posted to these boards

We'll see what the B man says when he gets backRealistically it would have been moved to the Comic thread when it started, so perhaps a little unfair to deny on that basis.

True, but I can't give anyone a month's free play

I'm nominating a submission by five people. Bridger can choose which one is most deserving -
I'd like to take a break from tradition and nominate 5 people.
Stasis, Fire Guardian, Duckdee, Myopic Aardvark and Dead Calm for their input into the Super Skrull Thread
Given they had no idea this was coming, not even Stase, I think they made some excellent contributions. -
Most of our's are still in production, but if you check My link, there's links to all the rest of the Forumites and some have posted excerpts.
The usual thing to do is wait a time for the first draft to 'disappear' from your memory before you go onto the editing, so you've got a clear mind....so I'd think it's gonna be 3 months or so before any final product is done.
My excerpt is here -
Like a lot of people have said, November shouldn't be the finish of the novel; should just be the start.
That said, I better start back on it. When I've recovered a bit more.
