    This.

The dude has long since ceased to be relevant but we still prop his skeleton up from time to time.

Flattering for him, less so for us.

    /Fire or /MM

You've pretty much got the right of it. Fire will have damage out the wazoo, MM will be a much more balanced character due to Drain Psyche.

Depends on your preference really. I personally find Blasters do more than enough damage so the utility that MM offers is much more appealing. If all you want to be is a glass cannon (can be somewhat remedied with IOs) then go with Fire.

Go with whatever appeals to you more. Both will have lots of firepower and can be airly sturdy built well.

For Rad, I think you want both the tier 1 and 2 blasts. On Corrs and Defenders X-ray is skippable but the Blaster version has different numbers. Cosmic Burst is made of win, Irradiate is lovely. N Bomb is fairly decent but very slow, which may or may not drive you nuts. Electron Haze is decent damage but a cone and has a chance for KB.

The rest is personal preference. The snipe is a snipe, the nuke is a crashy nuke.
  4. I would, if only I had the time.
  5. I thought the term was 'doofus'. Also, gallant when used as a noun means a man who pays particular attention to women.

Not that I object to the implication that Hami raiders are women, I'm just, you know, saying.
  6. Fire or Rad. Sonic/Kin is awesome for maximizing team damage output but it really doesn't have the offensive output by itself to make good use of Fulcrum Shift.
  7. Yes, please.

God bless /cleartray after a respec.

    Ice Brutes

Neither is Fire Blast for Defenders or Broad Sword for Stalkers, ain't nobody care no how.

    Proliferate everything.
  9. I knew I could count on you or Horus to post it. Feeling too lazy for GIS and image tags.
  10. Entropic Chaos is hilariously bad.

Its redeeming features, namely the endurance and recharge bonuses, are matched by the Decimation set.

    Which has better other bonuses.

    And better enhancement values.

    And a better proc.

Which leaves EC with the ostensible benefit that it can be slotted 5 levels earlier. Yay?
  11. This is a silly thread.

Yeah, once you've dropped the shield it's pretty standard fare. At the time we did it, the tricky bit was downing all the Pylons in time by ourselves.

I imagine it'd be very straightforward nowadays.
  13. Actually, playing pretty much any character will be profitable since inf and drops simply poof into existence when you kill things. The only 'cost' so to speak is time.

Speaking as someone who plays for fun and profit, smashing lots of little things quickly or not smashing things at all and playing the market are the most profitable.

Time Manipulation built well with Clarion is godmode. Clicky godmode, but godmode nonetheless.

Well then that combined with my own experience leads me to believe he would be very soloable. We were able to spawn him with two bombs, not sure if he can be spawned with just one. I doubt it.

Both Corruptors, one Sonic/Rad and one Fire/Cold.

The tricky part of that is actually getting him to spawn. I don't know how his hp compares to normal AVs, but I'd bet an Ill/Cold could solo him given time. Could probably even solo him quickly with Lore pets.

When Kahlan and I duoed the MS raid U'Kon only took a while to kill because he was running all over the place. If either of us could have held him in place I bet we'd have dropped him in a fraction of the time.

    PA solves that issue handily.

Okay, boring as a super boring thing.
  19. Ill/Rad would have difficulties soloing a GM on SOs, since you wouldn't have perma PA. Rad/Sonic Defenders too, since you'd have a lot more trouble getting to the softcap. Radiant Aura alone won't keep you alive against a GM.

If any Corruptor could do it, it'd be a Fire/Traps Corruptor. Either way you're making it a lot more difficult than an already tricky task is by limiting it to SOs. Pretty much the only thing that can reliably solo GMs or AVs with SOs is, as stated above, a Bots/Traps MM. Which are boring as sin.
  20. @Turg, Join us! The more the merrier and all that

@Shin, Join us too! You've got a week to sell enough gold to make it here.

@Shadow Wail, Yep definitely the 5th of November. Original plan was the 4th but a lot of people are working on that day so they wouldn't be able to make it in time.
I'm gonna be sending out the info in the next day or two to everyone. Glad you can make it

@Aneko, my mind: it is blown
  21. So this is happening.

Saturday, November 5th. People who are interested, please contact me via global tell or board PM and I'll give you the details.

Plan is meet for dinner in restaurant that serves both food and rapscallions, then go on to a bar of some description. People are welcome to join for either or both, go nuts.

    Nasty build

Spines. No set is more visceral.
  23. If everyone who had KB was good about using it I wouldn't mind it.

Some people enjoy KB, that's fine. I can see the fun appeal of it, even if I don't share it. But I'm with EvilGeko on this one, KB is never the best tool.

It can be a good tool. It can be a useful tool. However, any time a team needs or would benefit at all from KB, they'd benefit more from some other form of mitigation.
  24. Psiphon, Fire/Time would be totally playable without Time's Juncture, but I'd still urge you to reconsider. It's a great debuff, stacking well with your other slows like RoF and your defense from Farsight.

Fire plays well at any range really, since RoF and Fireball can be thrown right in mobs faces The only reason to back out to range is Fire Breath, which is skippable.

Elektro, Seconding what Shin said, I wouldn't recommend Inferno. My rule of thumb is that I don't take crashing nukes unless I have a) lots of damage buffing for myself and/or b)a way to quickly regain my endurance. That means basically just Kinetics and Cold Dom. For the other sets it's not worth the drawback.

If you're deciding between the snipe and Breath, I'd take Fire Breath. It may be situational but it's still more useful than the snipe. Finnicky power, but does do a fair amount of damage.
